Were basically first to arrive- service was okay to start- ordered a drink and an appetizer and then it stopped. Literally 15 minutes the server didn’t return to take our order. Plenty of staff around except our server. Finally gave up and asked for our waitress and she came from around the back wall. We had to take a water carafe off another table when we ran out of water and my wife couldn’t even get a second drink because she vanished. Bill wasn’t brought over until we basically stood up to leave.
Food was fine but lack of attentive service with a full staff working and a half full restaurant was very annoying.
It was a great night out. Food was hot and delicious. There were 5 of us and we each ordered hamburgers that were all different. Everything came out exactly correct. The server was excellent. I’ll definitely be back.
The food was delicious and served very promptly. The ambiance and atmosphere were also delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and I thanked my friend (a Ridgewood resident) for recommending it.
The cocktails and food were excellent! However, service was totally rushed. We had our appetizer in front of us before our cocktails arrived and before I even placed my entree order. Later for dessert, our waitress came over with small plates and spoons for us to share the brownie sundae. I looked at her said “thanks but we ate the dessert and it’s been cleared away already.” She seemed shocked and mentioned they were moving quick tonight. I commented to her that’s overall I would come back and the food was great but I 100% felt rushed through my date night. She apologized and said that can happen with the earlier reservations. Our reservation was for Saturday at 6pm. We sat down at 5:55pm and was done and ready to leave at 6:59pm. A nice dinner our shouldn’t be that quick.
we were a table of ten for my birthday and it was enjoyable from start to finish!
A nice place for an informal meal. Very good service, good food, a little too loud.
Everything was just perfect. Our meals were outstanding and the service was so pleasant. Looking forward to a return visit very soon
Went there for sunday brunch for my daughters birthday. Food and service was great
solid all around.
Great food. Great service
Arrived for our 6pm reservation. Restaurant was nearly empty except bar and a few tables. Host staff was obviously inexperienced. We were seated in an awful table in the back of the restaurant that was in a private room. Took about 15 minutes for the waiter to come over to get drink orders and then bam every course was brought out without any spacing. Even after I requested that they hold back the delivery. If I hadn’t said something our romantic valentines $300 dinner would have been over in under an hour from arrival to departure including the 15 minute wait for initial order of drinks. I ordered the chefs favorite steak, took one bite of the $48 steak and brought the rest home to my dog. My wife ordered the lobster ravioli no mushrooms and of course it came with mushrooms. Not impressed, won’t be going back.
Had a lovely brunch there on Sunday. The food was excellent. Service was great!
We loved the service. Yovanna(?) was our server and she was spectacular! The restaurant is fancy but the choice of music wasn’t. The music that was playing was a bit loud and seemed more like bar music. That’s all I would recommend to make it a better ambiance. This was the only part that to us caused stress.
Excellent all around!!!
Great food, great drinks! Wish we were paid slightly more attention to by the server but the manager made up for it when I needed a cocktail refill.
Great food. Very attentive service. Way too noisy.
Food excellent, be it a bit pricey, but quality superb. Service attentive to drinks and enjoyment of food, but a bit scattered for little things like water refill and pepper mill requests. A busy vibe with lots of positive energy. A nice experience overall. Will definitely return.
Everything about this restaurant was great! The food was excellent, and the service was wonderful! For starters, we had the Patatas Bravas and the Oysters, which were perfectly portioned and full of flavor! For dinner, we had the hanger steak frites and the hanger steak sandwich. Both were cooked well and the flavor was amazing. As for the service, our waiter was attentive, and not overbearing. I would absolutely go back there!
Very good food and an interesting selection or dishes. Food can be rushed on occasion and tables cramped. The majority of the food is very good. It is a little pricey but definitely worth a try.
Had drinks at the bar before our dinner which was a lot of fun. Then we had dinner which was really good. We shared the eggplant hummus and had the salmon ams my friend had the steak. We really enjoyed our meal and even though we were full we ordered the donuts which I highly recommend. Overall we thought the good was great and the Atmosphere very nice! We will definitely go back.
Great food and great service.
What more can you ask for?
Slow inattentive service. long wait times to get any attention. food only fair
Great atmosphere and lively.
Great lunch menu with prix menu. Wild rice bowl was delicious and service was top notch
we frequent here and love it! good for brunch, meet for drinks, eating dinner with friend and bring my kids here a well. They love it too!
The Farro salad was superb! I had the Short Rib and my husband had the filet of Sole - both were excellent. I find the place warm and inviting- just wish it was a bit less noisy so conversation would be easier. In spite of that, no doubt we will dine here again.
We went to Park West Tavern on New Year's Eve. We were a party of six. The menu was a regular menu, no pre-fixed menu, which was definitely a bonus. Our waitress was wonderful, very sweet and on top of everything. The food was wonderful, and they even accommodated a special request made by a member of our party. The food was great, from beginning to end. Thank you, Park West!
Always a good meal. Server was great.
Food and service were great!
Nice downtown heart of a small town kind of a place. Decent food, not great. Decent service, not great. But all in all a pleasant experience.
Park West Tavern has a great vibe with interesting dishes to choose from like short rib egg rolls and to die for Brussel sprouts in a honey mustard sauce with bacon. They sat us in a comfy half booth/half seat table right by the window. On a Friday night, the atmosphere was fun and upbeat. For a NJ suburban restaurant this is where you want to go for a fun and delicious dinner.
Reliable, comfortable brunch spot. Food and service are very good.
Always a pleasure.Seasonal specials are always exceptional. My reservation request was honored.
Great place for a business lunch of night out with family.
Always a good choice for delicious cocktails and food. Requested table by fireplace which was honored. Lively, warm and welcoming atmosphere!
Excellent food. Large portions of quality food. On quality to price this is one of the better places in NJ. Frankly, they probably aren’t charging enough for some of the dishes. Drinks are reasonable too. Only complaint was waitress was total oddball and didn’t know menu at all. Said short rib wasn’t spicy and it was very, very spicy. Delicious for those who liked spice but not so much for the person who asked and ordered on promise it wasn’t spicy.
Always have a great experience, from the bartender who remembers us, even if we haven't been there in a few months, to the menu that always has something that grabs our attention, to yummy zeppolies for dessert. Don't miss the cheesesteak egg rolls as a starter. The burgers are filling, and you get your own little dish of house made ketchup. They don't overwhelm you with fries, but there are enough. I had the short rib special, my husband had the swordfish special and cleared his plate. We finished with the previously mentioned zeppolies that come with little bottles of chocolate and raspberry sauce and homemade whipped cream. Valet parking makes the night even better.
Food and service were quite good. Somewhat pricey for what we ordered. Very, very loud.
Usually outstanding experience not great this past visit. Food took way too long and was cold when it came out. Obviously, someone made a mistake because the restaurant was not crowded.
First time at Park West and had a great dinner. I had the Octoberfest special and my wife had the short rib. Both were excellent. My son had the kids fried chicken and loved it. Drinks and service were great too.
