   We dined at 6 pm on a Friday evening. We had made a reservation, but didn’t really need one at this time. The restaurant was beautiful and historic. The place was nearly empty, so we had a lot of personal attention from our waitress. She was great. There is a piano bar across the lobby that is louder and more active. Some may prefer that environment, but we were looking for a quiet experience so the dining room suited us better. The salmon was phenomenal, lobster ravioli was a little rich but flavorful. Our daughter enjoyed the Gouda Mac. Crab cake appetizer was just mediocre. Our waitress went above and beyond to find our daughter a dessert after she had asked for ice cream (which they didn’t have.) We were very happy with the service. There was a large party dining in a private room in the back of the restaurant. They were walking back and forth through the dining area to get to their room from the bar. Many of these guests were loud and obnoxious. Their behavior (swearing and shouting) wasn’t the restaurant’s fault, but the layout of the space lent itself to this issue. I would have appreciated someone speaking with them, especially as we were dining with our 10-year-old. Overall, it was still a nice experience with good food and wine but a few issues to work out.

   Our reservation was on time and the table was in a good location. There seemed to be a confusion on who our waiter was and service was just a little slow, but we weren’t in a hurry so it was fine. The food itself was just OK and for the quality the prices were on the high side. The wine on the other hand was very good, the pours were ample and the prices good as well.

   The Park Avenue Grill was a good start for the evening, even though the restaurant was very loud. Service was slow. Since we were scheduled for another event, we had to eat quickly when we finally got our food. The food was very good. The staff members were cheerful and responsive to us. We recommend this restaurant for a lovely evening. Just don't go when you have a time crunch.

   Party of six was served four entrees but had to ask twice where last 2 were. Escargot was missing one esc …. The rest were overly salty. Limited menu and when I tried to order the duck was told they were out …. at 5:30 in the early evening. Seemed help was confused with what food went to what table. The manager attempted amends by providing two deserts. Let’s be generous by chalking up the experience to supply side demands and labor shortages.

    If I could rate this restaurant no stars, I would. I made a reservation about 4 days in advance for yesterday, Friday night at 5:15. We had looked forward to it for several days. We had an event to go to after dinner and had planned out our time exactly. When I reserved, I received an email verification. Then the day before I received a text reminder from the restaurant of which I confirmed our reservation. Got to the hotel a little early. Had a very good drink in the hotel bar and waited. When we walked over to the restaurant, it was closed. When I finally found someone to ask, he said that they were closed until 7 for jazz night. That this was just how their jazz night goes on Friday. I asked why I was able to book a reservation and get a confirmation. He said he didn’t know. I kept calm and said that they needed to get that fixed. His reply was that no one is perfect. We had to scrambled to find food before our event. Very disappointing. Life is too short and not worth getting overly upset about such things, but buyer beware. Very unprofessional and uncaring.

    The management at this restaurant was no even acknowledging reservations. They were not even staffing the checkin desk. We had to go find a waiter to assist us. The manager actually told us he didn't know if he could accommodate us. We were eventually seated and our waiter was wonderful. If it weren't for him it would have been a complete waste of time. This restaurant or facility shouldn't be allowed to be on Open Table unless they are able to fulfil the obligations associated with it.

    We had a reservation. Was supposed to be for the Champagne Buffet brunch. That was not available according to the waiter. Disappointed, as it was wife's birthday and Mothers Day. Also the floor was very sticky/dirty at 8 am.

    This was a total cluster. When we arrived at the restaurant there was no host to greet or seat us. There was a band setting up in the middle of the room. Finally a manager showed up and said something about jazz night. I showed him the OT reservation and we were guided to a table. Finally another manager showed up to say that they a no longer using OT and it should be turned off and this was a private event. We had a wonderful meal at the Mantel, Thank you very much.

    The food was pretty good. The service staff was kind , but we waited a very long time for our dinner. The tables were way too close together. Not much of a ambiance for a Valentines dinner. The room look very low key for an expensive, romantic dinner . I’ve had better service and food other places. Maybe get some fresh flowers and candles for the table. I ask for pepper twice and never got it. The whole room seem cold and not inviting. Invest in black tables clothes for your grill or a deep blue. That big room is too stark looking. It needs some warmth to it. Your piano bar was very nice though. A little pricey Dinner with taxes got expensive . This was not a 5 star dining at all. As a person who has traveled I have experienced much better . Service staff was very kind. Overall I wouldn’t go back for a special occasion .

    It was so cold we got to go boxes after the main course & left. I had my husbands jacket on & he was freezing too. The servers were all amazing. The salad didn't make any sense & for us the dressing did not seem to go w/ the arugula greens at all. Neither of us finished ours. My steak was cooked perfectly. My husbands was well done & he ordered it medium rare. The atmosphere didn't meet the rest of the hotel. We will certainly stay here again. It was a great experience but will not eat at the restaurant again.

    We did the Valentines Dinner on Saturday night. Fixed menu so meal was fast, maybe to fast? ($250+ for 45 minute overall experience??) Wine comes from bar so ended up having water with entrée - I was told they would try to expedite my wine but the bar was busy so not much could be done??? Then the check was presented with the cancelled wine on it... Overall experience was fine.. I think running drinks from the bar needs to be worked out... the table next to us was feeling the same way (not good when guests are talking about how slow drinks are coming out instead of enjoying dinner). Staffing has been a real challenge everywhere so we'll give the another opportunity

    We have loved this restaurant in the past but this was sadly not a good experience. They tried giving us others orders 3 different times, then brought my husband a blue rare steak when he ordered it medium. We sent it back and the new one came out rare. We saw our server one time and never got drinks refilled. For a $150 valentines dinner we hoped for a bit more.

    This was a place that I mentioned to my parents to go for their 53rd wedding anniversary. They loved it! They said it was very quiet and they were able to get a table close enough so they could hear the piano in the other room. The waitress was extremely helpful on what to get to have the ultimate dinner and have enough room for dessert. Plus, my mom said the filet was the steak she has ever eaten. Bravo and thanks so much for giving my parents a phenomenal anniversary experience!!

    The food was okay, but what was weird is there was hardly anyone there, guests included, for dinner on a Saturday night. Didn’t really seem like they expected many people to eat there. They are busier at lunch time and have a brunch also. Only one waiter. There were 4 other tables full there, but probably 10-15 empty tables. Food took a while. The drinks were good though, and cheap. The bar across the way in the skirvin is excellent with drinks as well.

    We were somewhat disappointed in the Park Ave Grill, though I’m not sure how to put why. The food was decent, though the menu was extremely limited. The service was friendly, though there was only the manager and one other person working the house. There was no host/hostess to greet us, instead, when we arrived for our reservation at 6:30 on a Friday, we were met with a sign telling us to seat ourselves. I suppose the lack of staffing was my primary complaint, but the amount of business happening made the limited staff make sense. There was one other table of diners when we arrived, and while we ate, one other couple entered the restaurant. After I did some more looking on their website, I saw conflicting information. Some places said they were only open breakfast and lunch. But open table definitely had reservations available in the evening. I think they either need to close the house for dinner, or higher more staff and publicize better that they are open for dinners.

    We were out walking and decided to stop here for lunch. My husband had the chicken fried oyster po’boy with fries and I had their BLT with fruit. It was cold so we had coffee. Our waitperson brought us a whole pot of excellent coffee and lots of cream. The food is always good, but today we both felt like we had made inspired choices. Our waitperson was very attentive without being over attentive. This is really a great place for lunch and very few people come here. it may be all the construction going on across the street.

    The Skirvin could be a place people fight for reservations but the entrees struggle. Are they worth the surprisingly low cost? Yes. But they don’t match the beautiful ambiance of the Skirvin. The desserts were phenomenal. But my soggy fries made me sad. The food in general was just ok. I would return if I was in the neighborhood. The entire experience is luxurious, except for the food itself. Forgivable. I hope for better things in its future.

    The description of the food far out does the actual food! Ordered the Nashville hot chicken with poached egg, the poached egg came out hard-boiled. When I pointed it out to my server and then again to the floor manager I was told that I was wrong and that they serve theirs hard poached. Guess that’s why we were practically the only diners.🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ #neveragain
