Do NOT eat here. The service was horrible- it took over 2 1/2 hours to have a simple meal. Waiter seemed very inexperienced and slow beyond words. Hot food arrived cold. When we asked to take it back and please warm it up we were given a disgusted face- Hey guys, WE are the patrons here. Nothing was well coordinated or timely. We waited over 1/2 hour to get our check even after asking for it right after dinner. The restaurant wasn’t very busy and now I know why. Food quality was poor. Chicken dishes were rubbery and partly burnt. Vegetables were over cooked and seemed like yesterday’s leftovers. Go to Amarones instead- it’s just a couple miles away. You’ll thank me.
I brought 6 friends with me for a birthday dinner, all of whom live in the area. My experience with lunches in the past was good, but this dinner definitely left us with a less than enthusiastic experience. The good part was a table in a section of the restaurant away from two louder parties. Wine was a little overpriced for our bottle (Pinot Grigio). We shared two Pancetta salads which were very good, but several of us ordered the grouper special which was underwhelming and overly spicy, accompanied by tasteless mashed potatoes and some steamed broccoli. The main problem was poor service -- our waiter was nowhere to be found between each course, we had to wait at least 15 minutes for plates to be cleared.
Hello, First off, we are so glad that you enjoy dining in with us for lunch! However, I apologize for your dinner experience on Thursday. We uphold ourselves to quality standards of service and it is unfortunate that your guests and yourself did not feel this to be true. As for the grouper special, I have already reached out to the Chef to inform him about it. I can also assure you that I will speak to the server as well. I will send my information to learn a bit more about your experience.
I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The potato-leek soup was amazing and the Bibb lettuce salad was refreshing. The table was split on the monkfish – one person thought it was great, but another felt that the tastes didn't quite mesh. Everyone loved the flat iron steak. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable.
We always enjoy dining at this restaurant. It is located in a hotel. We usually dine here for lunch.
Hi Joseph! We are so glad that you enjoy dining with us. Lunch is a great time, especially with the ayce pasta and salad bar! Fakrul is a vital part of our team and really does exhibit that patience is a virtue! Kindly, Megan Restaurant Manager
Always enjoy Pancetta. Love their mushroom ravioli...partner enjoyed the lasagna. Three leche cake for dessert refreshing.
Hello! Thank you for your loyalty to Pancetta! We are glad you enjoyed mushroom ravioli, lasagna and tres leches. It's always nice to end dinner with a refreshing dessert. We hope to see you again soon! Best, Megan Restaurant Manager
Overall, above average experience
Hello! Thank you for the great review! Hope to see you again soon. Kind Regards, Megan Restaurant Manager
Nice "upscale" setting for a Marriott. Good service, as no one else was in the restaurant. Food selection is limited, but there is a choice of simple and full dinners. If you get a salad prior to dinner, it can be shared with FOUR people. Food was actually good.
Hi Mr. Biomed, Thank you for dining in with us and for the review as well! If you're looking for some change, we will be happy to make any accommodations to a dish and we also have dinner specials that our server would be glad to tell you about. We hope to see you again soon. Kindest Regards, Megan Restaurant Manager
Mine and my wife’s food was absolutely awful. I got the chicken, she got the steak. All we tasted was a plate full of garlic and salt. One plus was that my wife’s steak was cooked medium-rare as ordered. Too bad it wasn’t edible. The restaurant itself was so dark I had to use the flashlight on my phone to even see what was what on my plate. We both took a few bites and left it all on the table. Whoever the chef is, buddy you need to get the garlic and the salt taken away from you. It was even quality salt, it was table salt. No way would we EVER eat there again or recommend this place to anyone. We will, however, tell everyone just how horrible an experience it was. Flat out ZERO stars for ambiance (zero lighting) and the food is in the negative, $80 later, not including the tip.
Hi Melissa, We sincerely apologize about your dining experience with us. We hold our cooks up to making the highest quality dishes and I am sorry that this did not happen with your meal. I have already brought this issue to the Executive Chef, as your experience and feedback is extremely important to us. As for the ambiance, we will be taking this lighting issue into consideration. If you would like, I would be happy to provide a meal on us. I will send over my contact information. Best, Megan
Met a friend for lunch, the mushroom soup was superb and we both enjoyed our salads. It was a very good choice!
Hello! Thank you so much for taking the time to write in to us! The Mushroom soup is a favorite of the entire team and I was delighted to see that you enjoyed it as much as us. We really look forward to the next time we are able to have you as our guest! Best Regards, James Cushinan General Manager of Restaurants
Needs more veggies on menu...not much for a vegan to choose from. The zucchini and squash I was able to order was drowning in oil. Not very appetizing. Salad was good. And so was the strawberry sorbet.
Needs to have a rice side, not risotto (not vegan) but a nice rice side.
Hello BlancaM! Thank you for the valuable feedback with our menu options and where we have some opportunities with more vegetarian options. I have shared this with our Executive Chef and the culinary team. As we are always developing new menu items, please let us know the next time you are visiting and we will be delighted to see if there is something we can personalize for your visit. We look forward to hearing from you! Best Regards, James Cushinan General Manager of Restaurants
After being seated we waited for a person to come and acknowledge us. Had too long wait for drinks. The restaurant was almost empty. After she did come to our table service was good. Food was excellent
Hello Rakk! I want to say thank you for providing me with this valuable feedback. I was able to speak with my team from that night about our first impressions and the impact we have in setting the tone for the experience. I'm sorry your first time with us was not perfect as it should have been and hope we can have the opportunity in making it perfect for you the next time you visit! Best Regards, James Cushinan General Manager of Restaurants
We always enjoy dining at Pancetta in the Marriott. Love the mushroom ravioli as well as eggplant parmesan entrees. Service great also. Very accommodating.
This was my worst dining experience ever, and the prices were exorbitantly high! If you can pass on this place, you should.
Very good, I loved it a lot. It was a family place and it served amazing to taste food. Just did not like the ravioli too much. Thank you!
The perfect unexpected Monday night meal with friends. My husband’s smoked tortelloni was just the right amount of al dente and my salmon was flavorful and moist sitting on a delicious bed of freshly sauté spinach and oh my goodness, the potatoes! No room for dessert this trip, but there are some amazing choices to be had. Our compliments to the chef as well as to our excellent wait staff — we look forward to returning soon.
Always enjoy Pancetta..excellent and friendly service.. delicious well prepared dishes. .lovely ambiance.
Always enjoyable in this lovely hotel restaurant. Cozy booth...delicious eggplant entree, great pasta entree, great service. Nearby home and a great go to anytime .
Excellent service. Great menu choices. Always enjoyable.
The primary attribute of this restaurant is the convenient location of the Glenpointe/Marriott hotel in Teaneck. It is just off of the NJ Turnpike and is an ideal place to meet people. The restaurant is decent but nothing special. There are much better restaurants but none with such an ideal location.
Always pleasurable. Today they had buffet going on but we were sble to order from menu. Also had live music...perhaps on Sunday...not sure. Nice energy.
Michael was an outstanding server, everyone was friendly, attentive, and extremely professional. We usually go to the Clinton Inn in Tenafly for buffet meals, but from now on it'll be Pancetta's. Awesome place, excellent selection of menu items, Sangria was included, entertainment was a really nice touch. Thank you everyone 💖
Pancetta has always been on top of the list when my family celebrates special days. My family celebrated my mother's birthday at Panceta, and the service we received was second to none with very delicious foods. Every time we dine at Panceta, we always feel that we made the right choice. I very strongly recommend this restaurant to all.
This place is in the lobby of the Marriot Hotel at Glen Point in Teaneck. We never knew about this place until coming across it on Open Table, but saw good reviews and decided to try it out.
The atmosphere is comfortable and the decor is nice, but being right next to the lobby entrance without a closed off wall to separate it made it feel a bit open, which is not necessarily a bad thing. As for the food itself, everyone enjoyed their meals, so the quality and taste of the food was pretty good. I got the Sea Bass, which was really good. Since we had a large party, we shared a little with each other to get a taste of different foods, so I can tell you that the gnocchi, garganelli, NY Strip, and the scallops were all very tasty, but the sea bass was better than all of them in my opinion. For apps, the meatballs and burrata were great, the calamari was good, and the bruschetta was okay. Wine options are decent and prices are not bad.
As for the service, it was good but not great. The servers were good, but it looked like there were only 2 servers and there were times when they could not be found. Not a big deal, but it definitely wasn't top notch service. It was good enough though and the servers did the best they could.
Overall, we had a good meal, a good time, and left satisfied. We would definitely return and highly recommend to those who like Italian food. The value is certainly there and the food is worth it alone. Overall 4 stars for a 4 star experience but 5 star meal.
Pancetta was absolutely delightful the second time around. Affordable wine selections and perfectly mixed cocktails. We were welcomed warmly and the service was first-class and friendly. Michael advised us that the salad I chose was large enough for two, and it was served just that way, providing a very personal touch. The salmon was delicious and cooked to perfection and my wine, which Michael expertly recommended, was crisp, cold and delicious.
My friends were delighted that we were able to recommend this neighborhood gem and can't wait to join us for another delectable meal sometime soon!
Bravo to all!
Always enjoyable...love their mushroom soup and eggplant park. You can't go wrong dining here ...service tries to please.
I brought a client there for lunch, and we were pleasantly surprised to find such a nice buffet option for lunch. Salad and pastas were delicious, and cheesecake was a nice ending to our meal. I will definitely come back again!
I hesitate to write this review because part of me wants to share this gem and part of me doesn’t want to ruin this place-it’s never crowded, the parking is great, the food is amazing and very reasonably priced.
We decided to go here on Valentine’s Day because we got married at the Marriott. We ate here twice, for the wedding tasting and then breakfast the next day, hadn’t returned and had always been meaning to return. We were married in 2015 and still today, everyone raves about how good the food was at our wedding. I can tell you from experience that is not the case at a lot of catering halls.
The staff here is wonderful, the place is nice and modern. This time, we’ll be returning soon!
Fabulous food, delicious wine and great atmosphere!
Fried calamari was chewy and undercooked. Veal entrée was very good, though. Everything else was just mediocre. Our waiter gave us dessert menus and the completely disappeared. I had to flag another waiter to take our dessert order. Then our waiter appeared with the check. All in, a mediocre, overpriced experience.
Our go to place for dinner neat where we live. Great service. They know us by now! Nice menu. Delicious food. Lovely ambiance. Try it.. you'll like it!
We dine here often...consistently enjoyable. Good menu...lots to choose from from great appetizers to delicious entrees. Excellent service...nice ambiance.
Always consistently enjoyable. Best mushroom soup...love ravioli pasta and eggplant rntree.
Glenpointe Marriott dining... always excellent service. Lovely menu. Lots to select. Love the ravioli with mushrooms! Food is delicious. . A treat.
As always..great food, service and ambiance. Best mushroom soup...love the cheese ravioli.. brushetta fabulous
Our Wedding Anniversary dinner coincided with a bodybuilding competition in the hotel. Thus the property was teeming with contestants, spectators and vendors. Despite the commotion the restaurant staff was very accommodating as we changed our reservation several times. Eventually, the suggestion was to dine in the bar to preserve a more intimate setting. Where we had a great time and the food was excellent.
The waitstaff was particularly on-point this visit. I'm going to say that Pancetta continues to be my "go to restaurant" for everything but seafood (their seafood is lovely; I just have a favorite seafood joint in the neighborhood). I'm really fond of this restaurant.
Perfect plates! Lovely food! I'll be back again and again! This is a great restaurant.
My husband and I were there for our anniversary for dinner, but it was only a so-so experience. The waitress was lovely, service was great. We did enjoy splitting the Pancetta salad, and my hsuband's entree (pork chops in a mushroom demi-glaze was very good, but I was disappointed in my sea scallops dish. I didn't really enjoy the Tuscan tomato sauce, there were almost no vegetables except for the potatoes the scallops were on. The most irritating part was the background muzak that Marriott has piped into the restaurant as well as throughout the hotel... very contemporary, loud, hiphop music that was not conducive to a nice quiet dinner in the restaurant. I complained, and the manager came over to apologize, but said he could do nothing else. We won't be returning here anytime soon.
Worst food ever.
Will avoid that place at any cost. The only good thing was the service. But the food will make anyone sick.
Bread - was at least 3 days before old and warmed on oven.
Salads - old and diacusting.
Pastas - i bet the cook forgot them boiling.
Sauce - no taste at all. It looked like old shoes.
Horrible horrible experience
I came here with my family for thanksgiving dinner and it was excellent so we decided to come back for Mother's Day! Very friendly and accommodating staff. The food is amazing as well.
