Permanently Closed - Palomino - Seattle

Booked a reservation for lunch with a client. It was embarrassing. Restaurants that accept reservations for the day they are shutting down are just evil.
When we went to have our dinner at Palomino's we discovered that it was closed. We came from out of town and was disheartened to find that it was no longer open... Open Table didn't notify us of this as a matter of fact they kept sending me emails regarding my up and coming reservation up and including the day of the reservation.
Dinner and a show, Randy Rainbow. So sad today, Sunday Sept. 29/19, Palomino will close its Seattle doors for good.
I truly love Palomino’s food offerings & the always lovely service! I always come away happy & satisfied whether eating in the Restaurant or the Lounge. The staff is well trained, courteous & works 2gether as a helpful team. Thank U & Bravo!
We met friends at Palamino Seattle; it was excellent. All enjoyed the appetizers and entrees.
Restaurant staff had a signed birthday card already at the table when we were seated. The waiter personally recognized her birthday, and they also gave her a complimentary dessert. This exceeded expectations by far and was genuinely appreciated, and a great example for other restaurants.
The ambience was perfect, with the lighting accenting the interior design. Menu was varied and original, presentation was excellent, as was the food quality. Wonderful experience.
Always a great experience. Wonderful ambiance, terrific service and food. We have been there 20+ times and have always had a great experience.
Food was amazing. Service was impeccable Paul gave us excellent recommendations throughout the night. It was not too loud and atmosphere was great!!
We will definitely be back !!!
They are always friendly, welcoming and strive for you to have a great meal
I ordered the steak frite medium rare. The steak was served medium too tough and overly cooked. The fries were excellent though! Price is reasonable by Seattle standards.
Dinner was ok, crab in the seafood Louie didn’t smell as fresh as I expected but was fine. The other two meals were perfectly fine and enjoyed by my family.
The staff was wonderful. We mentioned it was our anniversary when booking and there was a hand made congratulatory note on the table. And, we were given a large slice of tiramisu to take with us when we left.
I took my 8 year old granddaughter for a nice dinner before seeing a musical at the Paramount. It was a terrific experience for her, she loved all our food and we were treated wonderfully!
This is one of our absolute favorite restaurants and the food, as always, was exceptional. My mom got a free dessert for her birthday as well, which was wonderful! The only issue, and it was a minor one, was that the service was not as great as it usually is. Our server seemed either overwhelmed or distracted, and we had to remind him multiple times for small things (bread, extra utensils, etc.), and he took a while to check on us. He was very nice, but that was a minor frustration. Otherwise, everything was perfect, as usual!
Ordered expensive sword fish which was dry when served. On the other hand the other elements of the dish, asparagus and couscous (?) were delicious. Excellent service, helping four of us get to theatre on time.
An awesome experience as usual
Amazing Service & excellent Ambiance & Food!
Love our server Breeee! delicious pre-show dinner.
We both had the Asiago-crusted scallops with risotto. Fabulous. Good bread, attentive service, overall a wonderful experience.
I took clients to Palomino for lunch. It is a downtown restaurant and so it is a bit spendy, but the service was absolutely perfect and a good time was had by all.
The space is attractive, however, because it is open to the atrium of the building, it was quite warm and humid where our table was located.
The food was disappointing. Fish was over cooked and not flavorful. The drinks were good, as was the service.
Good food good service.
Pleasantly surprised in downtown Seattle, great food and service for the $.
Although we were there for lunch on a Sunday and there were very few people there, the service was terrible. The server was rarely seen at our table and never came back to ask how our food was. This is the first time I have been unhappy with the service.
Lovely & attentive server. Good Food. No complaints. Decent dinner.
The manager was very helpful but our food was cold, undercooked and lacked flavor. I was very disappointed and will not go back.
Nice enough place and, good service / staff. Three meals plus apps ordered. All were fine except the seafood (mussels & swordfish). Neither were fresh, and sword was overcooked. Granted, the price was slightly lower than a top tier restaurant in the area but, fresh would have been nice. All else was an acceptable value for the money.
It worked really well and we all enjoyed it
We eat here often but I’ve noticed lately that the food hasn’t been as good as it has been in the past. My husband ordered a filet and it was pretty tough. My scallops were more tasty after I pulled off the thick breading and the risotto was just ok. They also started putting sheets of paper on the tables like a table cloth—makes it look cheap. Our waitress was fantastic! She was friendly and did a great job of staying on top of serving us.
Love this place! Terrific Seafood! One of my favorite places to eat in Seattle!
Have always enjoyed the Palomino. This time we felt a bit rushed. Ordered our food along with a salad. Salad arrived and within a few minutes the entree's arrived. By the time we finished our salad the food was cooled off. Hopefully this was a one time problem because we do like their establishment.
They are located close to theaters which make it convenient place to dine before a show. Our server was overwhelmed though by the number of tables so service was slow, but the food was still good. If going before a show plan extra time.
Palomino never disappoints. Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was quiet.
Our server Bree is amazing! She remembered us from our previous visit and she’s going to be our go to server from now on! She is attentive, knowledgeable and delightful! We were fussy eaters and she made our special requests for substitutions easy. She makes the dining experience perfect!
It was wonderful! We went before a play at the Paramount, and our waiter named Paul asked us if we were going to a play that night, and what time it was starting in order to make sure we got out of there on time. It was half price a bottle of wine that night, which made it a great value. Our food was delicious, and Paul was very informative and helpful. We will ask for his section next time we go there.
Always our perfect pretheater lunch! We love the choices and look forward to it!
Excellent service, delicious food and great variety for lunch!
We were very disappointed in our experience. Our filet mignon was more like a greasy diner steak you’d pay $12 for. They charged us $40. Fried onions on a steak with fried blue cheese? Way too heavy. No vegetables, asked for medium rare and got medium. Overall a disappointing experience, we left very unhappy.
Had a lovely table courtesy of Gizelle, fantastic service courtesy of Bella and excellent food and wine! Very highly recommended for sure! Thank you Palomino for a lovely last night in Seattle!
Lunch with friends prior to play at the 5th. 11:45 AM reservation arrived on time food not delivered until 12:40PM. 2 soup and salad; 1 pasta and salad; 1 salad. Could not understand the long wait time. Our waitress took our order and then did not see her for over 45 minutes. An acknowledgment of the delay would have earned her a larger tip. Poor service.
Noise level very high.
This is our second attempt to have lunch prior to going to the theatre. Have marked this as a last choice for lunch in Seattle. Too bad because the food was good.
