Quality has dropped significantly since their opening. Dishes were over seasoned, or over worked, and there was about 30 minutes between each dish leading to an over 2.5 hr long dinner.
Excellent food and an excellent night! The chicken was the best I ever had and everything was hot and fresh!
The food is incredible. The service is great, and I can’t wait to get back again!
So excited to dine here for an early birthday dinner celebration in LA ( we drove 4 hours just to eat) and was a little let down by a few things and dishes. Little loud but cool lay out, we don't know exactly what it was but every once in a while there was a horrible smell that wafted by and lingered for a few minutes not sure if it was where we were sitting which was in the back last table next to the coat rack across from wine room. The penicillin was good but the casino royale and cosmopolitan were not that great. Their online menu hadn't been updated so the cocktails we wanted were not available to order. Our first order of naan with added caviar and whipped lardo were delicious. The only bad thing about that dish was they we didn't get to finish the lardo, our waitress took the lardo away even after me putting it off to the far side of our table and she didn't even ask if we were done, she just took it. We were both in awe and couldn't say anything quick enough lol so that was $12 gone. Our octopus dish was delicious and flavorful and tender all except the tentacle too hard to chew. The famous black cod lived up to the hype so delicious and unique in flavors. The dry aged duck was just a tad bit over and sauce really didn't add much. White chocolate pie and chocolate mousse desserts were good and appreciated the complimentary truffles and candles. Our waitress was ok not bad by any means but not friendly either. I think the restaurant may have had a lady sommelier there and she was actually more friendly and attentive to our table as was the bus staff. Overall glad we got to try this restaurant.
Otium is a lovely restaurant with beautiful decor and nice service. We asked for a quiet table and they were attentive to our request. There does seem to be some coordination issues between the bar and servers. We were already getting food before I received my cocktail, which we had to ask for 2 times. Again, at the end of the meal, my coffee was served 5 minutes before my husband’s amaro came. The caesar salad would have benefitted with more faith in the taste of the little gem lettuce, but rather had too much cheese and was over dressed. However, the nan with chicken liver paté and truffle butter was excellent.
This is a good restaurant, bet needs some tweaking before it lives up to its aspirations.
Otium was really on its game tonight. The food was fantastic. The new menu items like the stone crab and chestnut pasta were wonderful. The service was excellent. Great meal.
Great restaurant for a special occasion. You won't be disappointed. The food is always amazing as is the service.
Absolutely amazing food and thoughtful, attentive service. Every dish was just as flavor packed as the next.
I made a reservation. I was seated immediately. My friend had arrived before me. Our waiter answered all our questions. My friend ordered the trout which was naturally sweet and buttery.
I ordered the Octopus pasta. I loved the range of flavors and textures with the Napoli chilies. Our drinks were great. The service was wonderful. Thank you.
Burrata on toast with quince needs to be tried with your hands to achieve the contrast crunch and nice taste of the quince.
Food is really good. Especially, their steak is so good!
Otium has a small menu, and though the servers say they can accommodate dietary allergies, I found their selection for what they're willing/able to modify to be very limited. As well, the dishes that had the components I couldn't eat, it was as if the kitchen never saw the request for separation because everything touched. Thankfully I am not as sensitive as I was a few years ago, but I would caution anyone who has allergies or restrictions to avoid Otium.
Great service and abundant delicious food!
Reliably wonderful and so creative for brunch. But can the construction ever be finished? The view is so yucky for such a great place.
Tasty and enjoyable. Lunch is much more straightforward than dinner —Sandwiches and salads. But very good.
Took out our son and his friends for a fun end of senior year first semester dinner! They loved it!
Great. They put us at a beautiful table in the corner with gorgeous views. Service and food were great.
Not sure I will go back. High prices for limited menu. Sandwiches have only one kind of bread. I’m allergic to it. Service was excellent. No parking validation. Ready to find other restaurants.
Wow, what a wonderful restaurant! It may now be one of our favorites!! The food is unforgettable and perfect and the setting is stylishly fun and our server, Matt, was THE best!!
The food was terrible, the timing, the wine list, etc etc
The place looks good, but you need to spend 300 in a decent bottle of wine, all the food taste was vey bad, the bred, the chicken, the meat, bad bad, too much ingredients turning in horri
