Our pasta, prepared daily in the restaurant, is a favorite for all of our customers. Our commitment to quality can be seen in our selection of the freshest ingredients from local producers and our attention to quality and detail. We at Osteria Romana pride ourselves in offering traditional Italian family recipes made with the finest ingredients.
Every meal is prepared fresh upon order. The pasta, fish, chicken dishes are all delicious. Our specials are exciting. Modern twists on classic favorites, like our signature hand-made pasta with wild mushrooms and a brandy truffle sauce, are what keep customers coming back."
The food and service are always excellent one of my favorite spots
Love this restaurant for a night out! Service is excellent and the food is very good. Great wine list at affordable prices!
As always, magnificent entrees and superb appetizers and desserts. Monday night’s with half price bottles of wine and our favorite waiter Ron...... you can’t go wrong!
I wish I was told in advance that they will have a Christmas Eve reduced menu and not the full regular dinner menu.
The room was we were in was not to standard, electric heater ,hot and cold at times.
Service and food was ok.
Osteria Romana always has outstanding dishes served by an outstanding staff. We picked a quiet table on a quiet day, so no problems with conversation. The server knew that we were not in a rush to eat or leave, so she worked accordingly. My guest and I spent more than two and a half hours there and it was totally enjoyable, the food, the atmosphere, and the service. I highly recommend Osteria Romana.
Consistently superb. Attentive, knowledgeable and friendly wait staff. Very accommodating to changes in menu options. Lovely decor with seasonal decorations.
What a delightful discovery on a cold, early winter Sunday evening. This freestanding place has a great warm vibe and is one of the best 'Italians' - indeed, restaurants - in the area. There was no defect, whatsoever.
Wonderful brunch, with a great raw bar:)
Went here for my 25th birthday brunch. Got there alittle after 11:40, and waited 5 minutes for a waiter to come up. He took our drink order and our waffle/omelette orders. We went and grabbed buffet food which was good. Got back to the table and the waffles/omelette had arrived! The omelette was incorrect. My friend stop a waitress and told her there were mushrooms in her omelette and she is allergic to them. They took it away and made a new one. The omelette they came back was also filled with mushrooms. Very upset about the mistakes. However the mimosas were great. Definitely got our moneys worth of the mimosas!
We were at Osteria Romana for an early lunch. I had requested a quiet table and the corner table was reserved for us. The restaurant was not very busy at that time, so we had an easy and long conversation. The food was excellent, the server very accommodating, since we were in no hurry, and we stayed for three hours. I would highly recommend Osteria Romana for its ambiance, its food and service.
First time here and it won’t be the last. Food was excellent. Veal saltimbocca and swordfish superb. Service was a bit slow but it was extremely busy and our waitress kept us informed. Desserts were excellent. We will be back!
Osteria Romana is consistently an exceptional fine dining experience. The waitstaff are courteous and friendly, the atmosphere is relaxing and conducive to conversation. The menu is extensive and has something for everyone. Even the bread that is brought to the table before you have ordered, is delicious, served with garlic cloves in olive oil. Recently, I had swordfish, which was a special menu item- it was superb! I highly recommend this restaurant and have been enjoying their offerings for years.
Everything about this restaurant is worth five stars, I loved it. The food was amazing and the service was great. I’ll definitely be going here again!
Cute place, food just OK
The food was good except for my risotto with wild mushrooms which I thought had a little too much of salt. The service was good. Want to try their Weekend brunch
Great food and atmosphere
Always a great time and tasty specials. One of our favorite places to go.
Real nice spot for a Sunday brunch. If the weather is nice, ask to sit outside. They have an omelette and pancake/waffle/french toast option to start and then you can help yourself to the buffet. Raw bar is excellent plus they have salad, turkey, roast beef, roast lamb & ham. A pasta offering as well as sausage & meatballs. Pair that all with bottomless mimosas & bloody mary's and it really is a good meal at a nice spot. Only drawback is they don't start Sunday brunch till 11am.
Food is amazing. Great wine recommendations. The wait staff really knows the menu! Ask for their homemade pasta!!
Always a delight! Great food, beautiful presentation and delicious, friendly professional service.
Amazing as always. We always have the best food and the best service.
Server dropped dirty fork on my husband staining Pants. Manager right there and just started wiping down table pushing crumbs off table onto my husband and another guest. Food was good
Our 1st time here, we had outstanding service and the food was very good. Its very nice inside but is a bit noisy no matter where you sit. The manager was nice enough to move us to a quieter table but it was still loud. I think its too close on a very busy street. They did have a patio outside that looked nice and cozy. We did have a great night and also enjoyed talking with the manager, chef, and staff
Outdoor patio pleasant, a bit of traffic noise, delicious food, good service
Good food on a nice setting. Reasonably priced.
Until my last visit, I would have recommended the restaurant but my last visit was very disappointing. I ordered mt steak medium-rear and it came out VERY well-done. Sent it back and when it came back, it was more medium than medium-rear.
Additionally, my $30 steak was chewy and tough. I doubt my family will be visiting anytime soon.
Great food, and lots of it! Friendly professional service.
We all loved our meals, including my Italian stepmother who is an excellent cook and very hard to please! Highly recommended and we will be back! (this was my 4th or 5th visit - happy each time)
Have been wanting to go here for some time AND it was worth the wait! Jen....our waitperson....was very helpful and attentive. Our food was delicious! I really appreciated the happy birthday serenade in Italian! The birthday treat was delicious.....as was the lemoncello!
I have been here several times and it is always an incredibly delicious meal! The host is a wonderful young woman- always a smile on Her face. Gian Franco was beyond amazing- he is friendly, engaging and made a good night with great food an extraordinary experience- hang on to him! He makes a lot of the ambiance. LI know Mauricio from the Norwalk restaurant- this continues to amaze! It’s a gem of a restaurant!
We love this place. Chicken Prosecco incredible. Seared tuna good on this visit but not the usual outstanding I am used. Always look forward to our night out here.
The dining experience was great. The service was perfect and the food was, for the most part, absolutely excellent. The eggplant rollatini was the tastiest eggplant we have ever had. My wife makes her own pasta and we both commented on how excellent the pasta was made and cooked. Perfectly al dente. My wife also makes bread and we both enjoyed the bread offered with the meals.
I enjoyed the selection of bourbons available as that is my favorite spirit.
The only criticism we have is the mushroom sauce was a little too salty.
Thank you for a nice evening and we will definitely be back soon!!
Food, as usual, was good. Beet salad is excellent. Wish the kitchen would realize that serving 1 breadstick is ridiculous. They will give you more if asked, but there is always only 1 lone breadstick on top of the slices of bread that is served for the table.
great! Food was delicious, service friendly. Only wish the outside of been open since it was such a beautiful night.
Love coming to Osteria Romana, wish they were closer to Brookfield but always worth the trip.
Excellent food and service! The food was absolutely to died for.
The food was very tasty and presented nicely and the pricing was reasonable.
Food at Osteria Romana is usually quite good. Had the fixed price menu which is a good buy. Ordered the filet medallions that came with lobster ravioli (1 ravioli!) Ordered meat rare - medium rare, but it came to the table medium. Our waiter, Ron, was watching me cut into the steak and knew right away that it wasn't done correctly. He immediately took the plate away and re-ordered the dish. Meat was perfect the 2nd time. Always nice to have an attentive waiter. Desserts are not the greatest. Two selections offered on fixed price - I got the chocolate cheesecake which I didn't care for, and husband got panna cotto which he said didn't have much flavor.
Osteria Romano scored a 5 again! We happened to catch Pasta Night on a Sunday with a price fixe at $29.99. Everything was delicious as usual - the appetizer or salad choices, two pastas, choosing your own style of pasta and your favorite sauce, as well as the dessert. Try it. You won’t be disappointed.
