The food was phenomenal, and our server, Alex, was the best server we've ever had. I would recommend omakase to anyone.
From the servers to the food everything was excellent!
Ooka never ever disappoints. Alex is the next waiter!!
The dining room is amazing. Everything we've tried has been wonderful. The best sushi we've had in the area, and our new favorite sushi place. We tried the hibachi once and were not impressed. The food was just ok - noodles tasted like soy sauce.
Hibachi for seven. Great service, food, drinks!
Shannon, our server, was fantastic! She knew our needs before we did!
As usual the food and service was very good.
The food is always good. It was very crowded, more so than usual. We never got our edamame appetizer and the waiter had no idea that we had not received it. Totally NOT the end of the world but do believe that the waiter should be aware of what has been delivered to the table and what has not. I would always recommend this restaurant.
The best sushi you will find anywhere.
Incredible service every time we go. Harry is our favorite.
We were seated faster at the sushi bar and it was a great experience! We really enjoyed ordering from the sushi chef and watching him make our food right in front of us. He was amazing! The sushi is my absolute favorite. And the spicy tuna taco appetizer is delicious. The presentation is perfect. Ooka is the best!
Our favorite place Love the sushi along with everything the serve Dont need an occasion to visit Ooka
Spent Valentine’s here and the food was terrific!
Food and service were fantastic! It’s the perfect place for a special occasion and your sushi lover!
We had an amazing meal, I can’t say enough about how good the food was. Upon our arrival I was skeptical as to what we were in for. We sat down and right away I noticed the table was dirty. There was a blackish brown smear in front of me and I got scared then I opened the menu and there were stains on the menu and I got a little more scared. After a great intro to the restaurant from the waiter, Matt, I was a little more at ease because he knew what he was doing and what he was talking about. I then asked my guests if they noticed the floor was a little sticky which they both said it wasn’t just me. We ordered way too much food for 3 people and Matt made sure that we all got a bite of each dish even though some only came with 2 bites. Every single dish that came out was perfect. Every bite was just as good if not better than the last. The start of this review should not deter you from trying this gem on 309. Order everything and I mean everything, From A5 wagyu to Uni every single thing we ate was amazing. We will be back as soon as we can afford to go. Four hundred and sixty six dollars is a lot of money to spend on dinner for 3 but with one hundred of that going to wine alone it was well worth it. I can’t wait to go back and see Matt to ask him ridiculous questions that some how he knew all the answers to. I have told a lot of people about our meal and some have been there for the hibachi, we were in the restaurant but everyone I talked to that had been there said the same thing that it is a hidden gem in the suburbs. Try Ooka, you will not be disappointed.
Sat down for a few apps and sushi rolls. Loved the tuna tartare app and my wife and I were happy with each roll we got. Sea bass app that was highly recommended was just ok
Best Sushi in Greater Philadelphia Area! Try the Apple Jack Roll. The Monthly Maki Roll obviously varies month by month, but never disappoints. Wash it all down with a nice crisp glass of a signature cocktail or an Otterfest sake.
Visit here at least twice a month. Would be more if I didn't have to drive 20 miles to get there.
Always excellent sushi and service!
Excellent food and service. Sushi was fresh and tasty. I will return when I am in the area.
On Sunday, my husband, mother in law, and I had lunch here and enjoyed Andy's entertainment when he put on a show for us while cooking our lunch. He kept calling my mother in law: "Funny Lady" and really did a nice job with prepping the food. The food was tasty as well. When you go, ask for Andy.
Amazing food here! It never disappoints. Daniela was a wonderful server. She was super friendly and informative. We were out for a nice date night. And ate ALL the sushi! Nightly specials and cocktails were so creative and delicious.
Scallops were gross overpriced meal!
Fast and pleasant service, good food and atmosphere!
Sushi and other non-hibatchi offerings are very good. Habatchi food, presentation and overall quality has severely declined however. Stick with the left side of the restaurant for best results.
I waited a little to leave a review due to the fact that I was so riled up. I made the reservation for my birthday on January 5th. I brought my family and 2 friends. Overall the food tasted fine but for 4 adults and 2 kids our bill was $300. Ok, so the food was expensive. I agreed to it. But for the money the service should be on point. Soda and water refills were few and far between. Our plates were never cleared and I had to go to the bar to ask for our check. I shared a small carafe of sake with my friend. I asked for a dry unfiltered sake in a small carafe. We were given about 5-6 oz (small carafe with a hole in the side for ice) and it turns out it was $35. Seriously? There was only one other table in the restaurant. We were not needy. The server would disappear. It was embarrassing for me that my guests were not taken care of and made for a lousy birthday dinner. I have made a point to go to Ooka every year for my birthday (and as much as I can in between, often by myself). After a 10 year tradition I don’t think I will be going back to Ooka. If your prices are going to be that high your service needs a total revamp. Very disappointed that I can’t return to Ooka. Waste of money if you don’t have the experience to go with your food.
Every thing was great as usual. We enjoy dining there.
Took my brother out to celebrate his birthday and we had a wonderful time! We did the omakase and it was the best dining experience for both me and my brother. Thank you to the chef and servers for an amazing night!
Took my girlfriend here and it was awesome! Food was great service was great! We will be returning in the near future
They rushed us
We had a reservation and arrived on time, but had to wait about 40 minutes to be seated.
It is my favorite place to go for Sushi. My husband and I always go there for all special occasions and times when me want good food and service.
I brought my daughter and 22 of her friends to Ooka in celebration of her Sweet 16. The service, food, staff and atmosphere was outstanding. The manager, Ken and the server, Mickey, went above and beyond to make the celebration memorable. I could not have asked for anything more. I highly recommend this Ooka location!
Are service was decent and food was good but it was super loud and I felt like it was too bright in the dinning room and we were too close to the people next to us. Both me and my boyfriend felt like we were eating under a spot light and it was difficult to have conversation as we were further away from each other than the people in the other party sitting next to us. I prefer the Montgomeryville location for this reason but if I’m going to eat sushi in Doylestown it’ll be at 86 west. They have more intimate lighting and privacy suitable for a date night.
Good food as always. Service was a little inconsistent.
Good awesome. Omakase is the way to go. They showed one of our party who needed cooked food and the other needed gluten free.
Ooka (pronounced “oh-Ka” not “oo-Ka”) is always fabulous! Excellent sushi and the best atmosphere of all Montgomery County sushi restaurants to impress your guests! Both Montgomeryville and Willow Grove locations are excellent!
Went for a date night with my other half. Their sushi is outstanding. It’s our new favorite sushi restaurant!
INCREDIBLY SLOW at bringing food - kitchen needs to better manage process flow. Food was very good but we nearly left for the time it took.
