olea - New Haven
Everything was fantastic.
Wait staff excellent and well informed. Food innovative and delicious. Lovely ambiance.
Great atmosphere and delicious quality food. Perfect spot for a date night.
Great wine and cocktails. Most of the food - excellent. For my entree, I had the squid ink pasta - it was good but not the standout compared to our appetizers and my wife's entree (duck). I probably wouldn't order it again.
The cocktails had a nuanced taste - some of the best I’ve had. The ravioli special and the suckling pig were delicious, the vegetura rather bland, unfortunately. Overall, however, superb cocktails, meal, and wine selections. Service was delightful from door to table.
Excellent food and service!
Excellent as always . One of the best restaurants in New Haven
Best restaurant in New Haven without any doubt. Food is superb as is service.
Seated in a space by ourselves. A large cold looking room with white light. The large area we were in had many empty tables with a couple seated at a distant table. The wait staff were fine but difficult to understand. My husbands short ribs were good. My shrimp was ok. This restaurant was attempting to be something it wasn’t.
Was looking for a good tasting menu and took a chance for a birthday dinner for my boyfriend. It was OUTSTANDING!!!
My boyfriend is very particular about his dining experience and he was
I highly recommend this restaurant- food was superb, atmosphere was lovely (felt like I was in a Manhattan restaurant - mean this in the best of ways). Tasting menu was out of this world!!!! Great wine menu as well, love Spanish wine.
Overall experience was good and the manager herself was very nice and helped us customize our food based on our specific requirement. Only bad experience was our waiter who seemed rude and too rushed to even bother to listen to us
Consistently one of New Haven's absolute best restaurants.
Excellent food, service, and ambiance. The restaurant noted that it was my mother's birthday and even brought over a happy birthday dessert even when we did not order dessert. They were incredibly accommodating of my toddler despite it being Saturday night. We just moved from Manhattan and food was on par with any fine dining establishment in the city. Highly impressed and would recommend x1000
This restaurant never disappoints. The menu is extensive and there are always special seasonal additions. The wine list is a perfect compliment to the dinner selections and the service is beyond top notch. This evening we loved the tuna tartar and the grilled octopus appetizers as well as the beef tenderloin entire. Looking forward to a return trip soon.
Outstanding and unique food, great service and good vibes
Definitely lived up to our expectations. Wonderful food with attentive and an elegant setting. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Relative to other restaurants in this area Olea is in top three.
Love this excellent Spanish restaurant next to the Yale Museum of British Art on High St., adjacent to the Yale campus. A Monday night and it was buzzing. Our third visit this year and have never been disappointed with the high quality of the food, service or friendliness of the staff.
Exceptional food and excellent service. We are new to the area from New York City and it exceeded our expectations
Great address in New Haven. Food sophisticated and good. A bit too pricey. Deserts were delicious, don’t miss.
Wonderful ambiance. We were four people for 9 pm dinner. The service was impeccable and the chef who came out later was very charming.
Excellent food and service! The gazpacho is amazing, the crusted ravioli was divine.
Amazing service and great food. Friendly wait staff and great atmosphere. All around awesome restaurant.
Our second visit and this time we brought friends. It was just as deliciously oustanding as our fist time.
Olea continues to be the finest restaurant in New Haven. The chef is a true talent. The food is fresh, inventive and always delicious. Best of all there are always new additions and now a prix fix menu. The gazpacho and Iberico ham are delicious. The red snapper crispy and perfectly plated. The seafood risotto creamy and tasty the service is excellent. Always a treat. Again, . The best restaurant in New Haven.
As always, wonderful dinner and excellent considerate service. Our favorite restaurant in New Haven. Highly recommend.
Held a special reunion of old friends and we enjoyed an absolutely delicious meal, particularly the pulpo, ceviche, and croquetas as small plate appetizers, and fideuà, solomillo, and special arroz entrées.
Phenomenal in every way. Best restaurant in New Haven.
Olea is a wonderful experience; my favorite New Haven Restaurant. Great menu choices that are interesting and creative and an excellent wine list. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive.
This is a lovely restaurant with excellent food and excellent service. There was only one problem: the cochinillo, which we really wanted to have, was not available. This was on a Saturday night, and it’s one of the most attractive items on the entire menu. We were very disappointed. But we were nonetheless delighted with the overall experience. (One more thing: the pours on the wine and sherry were both stingy and uneven.)
Appetizers and entrees were outstanding. Our waiter kindly suggested the best wine paring and it was perfect. Just the right amount of food beautifully presented.
The desserts were “over the top” delicious.
We cannot wait to go back.
Always amazing! My favorite restaurant for food, cocktails and service. It is a step above all others. Menu changes with the seasons. I love trying new things here. I have never had a meal I didn't love. We usually enjoy their tasting menu, a way to get lots of flavors and a leisurely meal.
The food here is out of this world, every time. One of our favorite places anywhere.
Excellent service, diverse menu, delicious food beautifully presented.
Chef Manuel Romero has done it again! An amazing meal. I love that the menu at Olea change seasonally, and during this meal we had a variety of courses and despite having come here often over the years each course was new and delightful. We usually order the tasting menu and are always glad we did. This Chef has a wonderful gift for melding different flavors in new and delicious ways. The service was impeccable, always available but never intrusive. The original cocktails are always great. Cannot recommend this restaurant strongly enough. It is my absolute favorite for any and all occasions.
Beautiful space, our table was the best for a special occasion, the service excellent. The food delicious.
So yummy. The food is clearly a step above most restaurants. The Foie Gras is amazing!
The restaurant is modern and well decorated. The service and food was very good. The waiter was knowledgeable. The only downside is that the cocktails are expensive and VERY WATERED DOWN. If you are going for a meal, don't order a cocktail....you'll feel a little ripped off. Everything else was great.
The absolute best Spanish restaurant we've encountered outside of Spain! The food is amazing and authentic and the service is simply spectacular! We can't wait to go back!
Food and service were EXCEPTIONAL. We celebrated our friends’ birthdays at a great window table and our server thoughtfully brought out our desserts with candles.
