Oka Kingly Court
The menu showcases a selection of homemade hosomaki, Uramaki, Nigiri, sashimi and Plates alongside an abundance of carefully chosen authentic Robata grill dishes like bulgogi beef, yakiniku rib eye steak, kimchi chicken, Mongolian lamb and miso black cod. The drinks list includes Dewazakura ‘Oka’ Sake, Japanese ‘hibiki’ whisky along with specialty cocktail menu which use ingredients like lemongrass, lychee, fresh wasabi and many more.
Just had a nice chilled date with my girlfriend, but I have been here plenty of times before and think it’s brilliant. Great quality food and the service we have had has always been excellent. Not a massive menu, but there still a great selection to choose from.. Dragon rolls and the beef are my recommendations. Great spot to go in such a central location.
I visited on Tuesday with a friend and we had a great time. The sushi was delicious and the waitress made some excellent recommendations for us. The only downside to the restaurant is how close the tables are together. You do feel a bit on top of each other, however as my friend pointed out, who has spent a lot of time in Japan, it made it all the more authentic!
Great food, good location on second floor and nice facilities.
Missed out on higher score as they forgot to give us menus. And never gave us requested tap water.
Cosy evening for my birthday. Great service, and the food was very good though not exceptional. And that is quite alright given the type of place this is. We enjoyed ourselves, and it looked like the other guests did the same. Will definitely be back:-)
The restaurant is cosy and quite small and was perfect for a catch up session with a friend. The food is amazing especially the miso kimchi soup and the tuna sushimi. The service was good, although I suspect that language barrier would explain the slight lack of comprehension over humour. The South African white wine is very good.
Food was fresh and not too heavy. Will come back
Food was amazing and service was excellent. Attentive waitstaff and so kind. We were celebrating a birthday and they brought ice cream with candle. Will definitely be back.
Manchmal zuviel Mayonnaise. Sehr enge Sitzplätze, ist aber typisch für London. Service sehr aufmerksam.
Alles in allem - lecker und zu empfehlen
The food was good and the service was quick! Nice situation and a good experience! To recommend!
It's a nice sushi place. Not amazing, but still reasonable.
Delicious fresh sushi, friendly staff and cosy atmosphere.
Good Sevice , really good food
I have been going to Oka for many years as it has been my favourite restaurant, sushi is great quality for money and the cookie dough is also amazing. Unfortunately, this time round the service wasn't great, we received one sushi roll at a time, with waiting times between. Usually you would get a few sushi roll plates and be able to alternate between them, but not this time. Our dessert came before the last sushi roll that we ordered and it took over 10mins for the sushi to come after our dessert which was upsetting and when mentioned to the waitress she just said our sushi will come soon, all whilst the ice cream was melting on our cookie dough. At the end after we paid, the waitress just disappeared and I had to go get my coat myself. I was very surprised, as most of the time we come here service seems ok, but after my experience I am considering looking for another sushi restaurant to go to instead.
Great sushi, fresh and so delicious!
Dragon Roll is exceptional.
We come whenever we are in London, brilliant Asian fusion. Unpretentious, pleasant restaurant, nice staff.
Food, good. Service, okay. Space, bit tight.
Second time having been to oka and would recommend to anyone!
Was a very tasty dinner! They offered good recommendations. Very fresh and tasted very authentic.
Loved the location as well but layout of tables would be better
Pretty good sushi at not ridiculous prices for London. Cocktails were very good.
Service could have been quite a bit better, drinks sat empty for long time every round and staff are well trained at avoiding eye contact forcing you to shout excuse me if you want to order. This would not have been a big deal if a service charge of 12.5% wasn't added to every bill (even single / two person tables).
Nice food, nice place, nice service! Complete. The place is small and cozy, book before is important.
Sushi was good as always. Great place to go if you are in central London.
Great place for having Sushi in a cozy restaurant in a very nice Area of London!
Maravillosa comida, todo muy fresco y el servicio excelente.
It's a great place with pleasant staff. It is small and you are packed together and it meant conversation at times was tough due to noise. However it is in the great Kingley Court and you almost expect that. We didn't share dishes and the portion size was good for a main course.
Excellent, tasty food. Friendly, helpful service. Highly recommended
All our food didn't arrive at the same time. I wasn't in love with the interior design of the restaurant either.
On the other hand, the service was relativity fast and fantastic location.
Great place, fantastic food, wonderful people in a super nice setting. And the staff is not afraid to advise you in your choice.
Lovely restaurant and the food was absolutely amazing we said it was some of the best sushi we’ve had. The staff were a little slow when we first got in and had to load up flagging someone to get our first drinks. Restaurant is pretty small and gets busy so booking is a must. We would definitely return to Oka for a meal and have already recommended it to friends.
A triip to London without a visit at Oka's doesn't feel complete.
The food was excellent and the service was fast and attentive, but not suffocating, they get the balance just right. It is only a small restaurant and the tables for 2 are quite close together, but the staff were so helpful and gave us a lovely table right next to the bi-fold windows on a sunny day, which was perfect. Great food, would definitely go back.
Slightly noisy but do not let that put you off. Amazing sushi and wonderful staff make for a perfect pre theatre setting. I cannot recommend enough! This place is amazing.
Great lunch out with my daughter
One of the best sushi in London. Quick and kind service, always a pleasure to dine at Oka.
I found the food to be small portions and very expensive for what we had. Left the restaurant needing to eat somewhere else!
Ambience was good. Very compact restaurant with not many tables. Cute little location in Kingly Court. Lovely on a summer evening.
Never fails to disappoint.
Impeccable as always. Keep coming back for both food and service 5*
The jalapeño roll and the kimchi chicken are divine. I go back at least once a month for these two dishes only. The rest of the menu is also outstanding.
Delicious food, easy to over order and over eat! Not cheap ..
If you are going just by yourself for a quick bite then it's okay. However, due to space not being big, the management is trying to cram as many tables as possible and there isn't much space to move around. The food was okay and fresh but quite expensive for what it is. I didn't appreciate the 12,5% charge either when there wasn't much service to it anyway.
Second time I’ve been, unfortunately wasn’t as good as the first time! Waiting staff not as good and waited far to long for a drink.
