Excellent food, quick, friendly (without being corny) and very knowledgeable service, intimate and unique atmosphere.
Another great anniversary meal, Food was very tasty and interesting combinations. The Carmenare wine is just delicious. A little gem of a restaurant with dedicated staff, already looking forward to our next visit.
Delicious fresh food and excellent service. Great idea offering 50cl Jung’s of wine, just enough for three courses.
A beautiful meal, attention paid to every detail and fabulous attentive service. I would like to see a clear vegan option, however staff were flexible and creative and did provide me with superb vegan dishes.
Lovely restaurant, have been several times and the food is always good. Good interesting choices on the menu, nicely presented and tasty. Prefer to eat downstairs as there is more atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and we are returning shortly to enjoy another meal.
Nice relaxing local restaurant. Food outstanding. Service friendly and professional. Would certainly recommend and would definitely return.
Un accueil chaleureux. Une assiette constituée de produits délicieux. Un endroit où il fait bon se poser le temps d'un repas.
Great food , atmosphere and also service was excellent
Great food & friendly service which is quite impressive as restaurant was full.
Second visit did not disappoint. Starter was good with interesting flavours. Main courses varied interesting and full of taste but piece de resistance was the desert menu. They were superb really enjoyed our choices. This is a friendly good restaurant which I have enjoyed on both my visits
The most lovely evening , staff were very informed of the menu . The menu was a great selection of Scottish dishes . Wine list was good . Over all a lovely evening . Will return .
Food was brilliant, service was excellent cannot fault it
Second visit here and same as last time the food was undercooked. The pork belly had to be forcibly attacked in order to break it up. The waitress was very efficient and the ambiance was nice, subdued and cosy.
I was made very comfortable, it can be awkward dining alone in a new place, but no16 was recommended and it didn't disappoint. The service was excellent as was the food and wine. I will definitely return the next time I'm in Glasgow
Excellent food and service , will definitely be back, just a little cramped
Cut of beef too chewy..... I know this can be hit or miss but don’t use the cheaper cuts, not enjoyable....puddings are strange combinations again some work, some don’t.
This is a special occasion place as it’s high end and classy but on the expensive side for me. We were allocated a table near the door for 2 hours so the evening was marred slightly at the dessert stage as a queue began to form at the door.
Everything else was lovely but we did feel a bit rushed!
Consistently excellent food and service make Number 16 one of the best places to eat in Glasgow, the menus offer modern presentation of quality Scottish ingredients. We have yet to be disappointed after multiple visits, the most recent was for lunch with friends and the set price lunch menu offered excellent value for the quality. It is quite small and very popular so book ahead! **note: the fried heritage potatoes are a must order item!!
All round great venue. Highly recommended for anyone into good food
First time there! We loved it! The atmosphere is really nice and calm. It's perfect to spend a nice dinner with your S.O. or your friends. The food was well presented and very tasty we had burrata and rabbit as starters and then beef and pork as main! 😋Dessert was delicious! the staff is amazing, they are very professional and friendly! Recommended! We look forward to coming back!
First time at No 16. Food was lovely. Very fresh and a nice combination of flavours. Recommend Goats cheese starter.
Staff were very nice. Wouldn’t hesitate to return.
Great food and service, as always! Lamb dish was a highlight.
Fantastic food and exemplary service. Wine list exceptional and a interesting variety of main meal to choose from. Wish we had time to visit again.
First class in every respect as always. Good food, good ambience and excellent service. I have been coming here for 11 years and hopeto do so for years to come. My favourite Glasgow restaurant, second to none.
Lovely lunch to celebrate a birthday. We all enjoyed the food very much and the staff were so helpful especially for one of our party who has some special dietary requirements. Would highly recommend Number 16 as a great Glasgow venue.
Excellent food and friendly service. Just a really relaxed and pleasant experience all round.
The food and the one are special but it is the staff that truely make this an amazing experience.
We are extremely grateful to them for making it such a wonderful night
Excellent lunch. Variety, quality, service and value-for-money
My partner and I had a meal here on our first night arriving in Glasgow. We had some really unique food, things we wouldn't usually eat. It was amazing quality and the staff were really friendly. Would highly recommend for anyone to try this restaurant. A hidden gem is what I would call it!
Amazing food, friendly helpful staff, fantastic restaurant, hope to go back.
very great，and the food is delicious. I love this place
Wonderful meal ( I recommend the lamb) and service with wine list to cater to all tastes. Thank you
Portions were incredibly small but that was a blessing when the food was horrible.
Starter - soup. Garlic oil had been poured all over it. It was all I could taste.
Main - chicken supreme. Was in fact a boiled chicken ballontine. If the menu had described this dish properly, I would not have ordered it.
Pudding - crepes. In fact, this was slivers of artic roll - it was nice in the 1990s and it’s not improved with time.
Coffee - Menu said it was served with homemade chocolates. Again, the menu was incorrect.
Used to love No.16 but if it’s gone downhill. Won’t be returning.
Absolutely loved our meal at Number 16. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was outstanding. Loved the intimate nature of the restaurant. We got to sit in the upstairs and were able to look down and watch some of the action in the kitchen which was a lot of fun. Everything we had tasted fresh and the value for what you were getting was well matched.
Excellent food and lovely service, First visit but we will definitely be returning.
Great place and lovely people, excellent food, I recommend +++
As usual food and service was excellent a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere would have no hesitation in recommending this taste menu.
No 16 consistently provide excellent food, well prepared and presented. New menu has great flavour combinations and portion size is spot on for lunch.
Staff are knowledgeable, friendly and efficient
Will definitely go back
Fantastic food. Great service. Will be back for sure
The Chef at N. 16 has a real flair for combining flavours to make modern versions of traditional Scottish food that taste amazing. The serving team were attentive and friendly. My wife and I had an excellent lunch. Highly recommended.
