Nobu Fifty Seven
As the first uptown New York location for legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa, we opened with much anticipation in the summer of 2005.Nobu's co-owners are his longtime partners: renowned restaurateur Drew Nieporent, Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro, and Hollywood film producer Meir Teper. The restaurant showcases Nobu's signature new style Japanese cuisine with classic dishes such as Tiradito Nobu Style and Black Cod Miso, and the hibachi table. The restaurant received three stars from the New York Times.

Was great to get back there and eat... Have missed it
Food amd service was exceptional
We were Looking for servers. Forgot 2nd bottled water. Food was Ok. 2 Bento boxes $75 not good enough. Waygu tacos excellent. Disappointing.
I had called ahead to tell Nobu that this dinner would be my wife’s birthday celebration. They promised that if I ordered dessert, they would include a candle, etc. They failed to do so. Big disappointment.
Best dinner ever have our server Collette was amazing thank you
Comments are for outdoor dining only. Too much street noise and they can do nothing about it. but the food is still there and terrific!
The food was amazing. It’s expensive but worth it
Not much to say
Food is consistently good and fresh. We had the black miso cod and yellowfin tuna sashimi with a sushi platter. All signature Nobu dishes. The service was excellent!
Great food, and good outside seating. Great service.
As always, Nobu is on a league of its own. Can’t wait to be back regularly.
We love coming here. No on can beat the quality of food and service. We always feel at home here.
Eating outside was lovely and delicious
Great food , so so so service
The food was to perfection . The cocktails were delicious
The food was not that great this time around and the service was OK. My glass was cracked and almost cut my mouth. The waitress was lovely but service was slow. I just think this experience did not live up to Nobu’s rep.
Nobu 57 always exceeds expectations. Sushi was delicious particularly the salmon.
The server was very nice. Food was AMAZING!
This is the best food in the city. Tuna tartare with crispy rice. Waygu and foie gras dumplings. Butter lettuce miso cod. Eat at nobu.
Great service by our server. Excellent recommendations, good zake too. The terrace may need a little bit of better ambiance, some lightning maybe to make it nicer, more cozy, but music was good.
The food was absolutely delicious and the ambience was pretty relaxed with conversation buzzing everywhere. I also had a really big party and they maneuvered really well to accommodate us. They’re operating outdoor seating really well with the tables spaced out accordingly. They also have a QR scanner for the menu. My favorites were the toro appetizers, the rock shrimp, the miso sea Bass, and the miso cod OF COURSE. The dessert I enjoyed the most (not pictured) was the chocolate brownie. Sushi and sashimi was really good but I highly recommend going for the favorites I mentioned.
Great food. Good service. It was outdoors and Mose searing faces 57th st, which is quite loud at times. But that’s not Nobu’s fault.
We go to Nobu quite often but this time we had a badly situated table. At the very end surrounded by scaffolding. We felt very isolated from the rest of the seated guests. Our table was the only one that had scaffolding around us. Felt so uncomfortable. Lichee martini that’s always delicious tasted like soap. We asked to be moved but they couldn’t accommodate us even tho we made reservations way ahead and it was my husband birthday. On that exact day.
The food is mouth watering! The service outstanding! Everyone went above and beyond! Great dining experience all around
Nobu doesn’t offer meaningful vegetarian options. The options include raw cauliflower cut in bite size portion, half a protein bar sized tacos, and (not fresh) vegetables fried in tempura. You would be paying upwards of $100 to hangrily grab $1 pizza on your way back home.
Credit where due: they were generous enough to bring out bite sized dessert treats for my boyfriend’s birthday at the end of our dinner.
Although the food is delicious, the portions are ridiculously small. Outdoor dining in New York city is great right now but unfortunately Nobu’s location is not ideal since they are on a noisy street.
Rock shrimp 🔥🔥🔥
My wife had problems with the drinks which were not like they used to be. Mia Margarita and the Toro with caviar was like fancy cat food.
I had all very good.
Everything were so good but I think that place is overpriced.
The food was outstanding as always. The arvhce was impeccable.
Pretty average sushi for an incredibly high price.
This was my first time at Noble and it was absolutely outstanding definitely recommending this to my restaurant colleagues and friends.
Always great. We’ve been to Nobu 200 times and every time is perfect.
I was skeptical of the new "outdoor" setup at Nobu Fifty Seven but the ambience was actually quite charming and it was refreshing to be out on a beautiful night with great weather. The food was amazing and always and the service was impeccable. Looking forward to visiting again.
I LOVE NOBU...EVERYWHERE AROUND THE WORLD. Food and Ambiance and Service and music
