Nobu Fifty Seven
As the first uptown New York location for legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa, we opened with much anticipation in the summer of 2005.Nobu's co-owners are his longtime partners: renowned restaurateur Drew Nieporent, Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro, and Hollywood film producer Meir Teper. The restaurant showcases Nobu's signature new style Japanese cuisine with classic dishes such as Tiradito Nobu Style and Black Cod Miso, and the hibachi table. The restaurant received three stars from the New York Times.

Always hands down the best food along with service! Liam was my waiters name, my second time during the Covid having him serve me, always on point and never lets me down. I will be coming back soon! Thank you Nobu 57 for an awesome experience as usual!
Dined here for a special occasion during Covid restrictions. Overall wonderful experience!
Excellent Experience. Will definitely be back soon
Luved eating outside social distancing done well
Not worth the money. A lot of japanese restaurants in Manhattan is just as good or even better. Maybe the menu has to adjust becos of pandemic but their Tribeca one is much preferred, more like a Japanese restaurant. If you like to dine in a disco type of ambience this may be for you. Also you dont get to choose your preferred name brand on sake as they only serve Nobu brands which is a bummer. Will not reutrn for that kine pricey dinner. And, they said they want their table back in 1.5 hr!
Another great pandemic lunch.. if you've been missing sushi the lunch packages are great.
We were seated in the outdoor “tunnel” area (space that connected the restaurant and the adjacent building). It was very noisy whenever a bus passed by and there was a garbage smell. The food quality and taste was not the same from when I remembered from dining earlier. For example the rock shrimp part of our bento box was not crispy and was clearly cooked earlier.
It just wasn’t a pleasant experience nobu our in LA / Orange County is much better as is the one a caesars in Vegas, Miami is good as well
Having dinner out in a hallway wasn’t fancy but the food was too notch along with the service.
Nobu 57 never disappoints! We indulged in all of our favorites: Sashimi salad, yellowtail with jalapeño, rock shrimp tempura in ponzu and creamy sauce, spicy tuna on crispy rice, and black cod miso wrapped in individual lettuce leaf cups. The pineapple martini was divine as were the sake drinks! The meal started off with edamame and Shishido peppers and ended with the loveliest yellowtail and scallion handrolls, spicy tuna and salmon sushi pieces and ikura and salmon sushi. Every bite was dreamy. We will be back The minute we can score another reservation!
I wasn’t impressed at all. A good place to show off and feel good about yourself
Even with the burden of outside seating, Nobu 57's service, food, ambiance, and overall experience never disappoints. Since it had been more than eight months since our last visit, we ordered lots of favorites. Like the Tiradito, Wagu Tacos, Spicy Tuna with Rice, lots of sashimis, and much more.
It was heaven.
Not Covid safe
Was great to get back there and eat... Have missed it
Food amd service was exceptional
Lamb chops were fabulous
We were Looking for servers. Forgot 2nd bottled water. Food was Ok. 2 Bento boxes $75 not good enough. Waygu tacos excellent. Disappointing.
I had called ahead to tell Nobu that this dinner would be my wife’s birthday celebration. They promised that if I ordered dessert, they would include a candle, etc. They failed to do so. Big disappointment.
Best dinner ever have our server Collette was amazing thank you
Comments are for outdoor dining only. Too much street noise and they can do nothing about it. but the food is still there and terrific!
The food was amazing. It’s expensive but worth it
Not much to say
Food is consistently good and fresh. We had the black miso cod and yellowfin tuna sashimi with a sushi platter. All signature Nobu dishes. The service was excellent!
One of my favorite restaurants in NYC. It's not the same as pre-covid in term of ambience, but nothing really is anymore. The food and service were great as always.
Great food, and good outside seating. Great service.
As always, Nobu is on a league of its own. Can’t wait to be back regularly.
We love coming here. No on can beat the quality of food and service. We always feel at home here.
Eating outside was lovely and delicious
Great food , so so so service
The food was to perfection . The cocktails were delicious
The food was not that great this time around and the service was OK. My glass was cracked and almost cut my mouth. The waitress was lovely but service was slow. I just think this experience did not live up to Nobu’s rep.
Nobu 57 always exceeds expectations. Sushi was delicious particularly the salmon.
The server was very nice. Food was AMAZING!
This is the best food in the city. Tuna tartare with crispy rice. Waygu and foie gras dumplings. Butter lettuce miso cod. Eat at nobu.
