Nobu Fifty Seven
Designed by David Rockwell, Nobu Fifty Seven evokes fluidity and the imagery of an Asian river with curves and details of abalone shell chandeliers, sliced bamboo stalks in terrazzo tiles, scorched ash tables and Japanese quilt fabric. Sake barrels imported from Japan tower over the first floor bar counter as diners make way to the upstairs dining room. Burnished woods, rich hues and soft lighting create an ambiance of elegance and refinement.

Overpriced food. Reception seems unhappy with their jobs
We had a wonderful experience at Nobu. We tried the Manila location and it was much better as the ingredients were all fresh. This location in New York did not disappoint. For was excellent and the server was extremely helpful and has a great attention to details.
Thank you for the wonderful meal.
Simply outstanding! Eating at Nobu was such an awesome experience. Every bite is bursting with flavor and the presentation is beautiful! Worth the cost! A treat for sure!!
They must get their sushi from a magical hidden sea.
This my 3rd time here and the last. I raved about the miso soup I had previously so I went there specifically for that and it was...salty. My husband ordered 2 tacos that cost $19 each. They were literally bite sized, 1 inch long. Seriously, the lime slice it came with was larger. We thought that was hilarious and still laugh about it! We and my 70 year old father thought the “club” atmosphere with 20 something’s in sequin miniskirts was pretty funny too. Not a fan of sushi or mushrooms, we couldn’t find anything else to eat. Spent a couple hundred bucks, left hungry, and are street hot dogs.
Great dinner! Sushi was delicious!
Great fast service and waiters were extremely helpful in navigating the menu for someone with food allergies. Will be back for another dinner.
Been to both downtown and midtown locations several times. Menu and decor of midtown Nobu feel tired and dated; and for a supposedly high-end restaurant, the restroom was disgusting... no ventilation and smelly (get some scents in there!) with used paper overflowing. They can ride on their name and the corporate expense account for a while, but even with a corporate expense account, I wouldn't take clients there again unless there's nothing around available.
The rest was perfect: the food, the service, the table.
Time together with adult children- good food- expensive
Very nice restaurant with great food. It's very expensive so it's for special occasions.
Bento box is excellent for lunch. Great value and ability to try multiple dishes
Wonderful experience, excellent food !!
Can improve on the drinks
The service and ambience was great but the most of foods are very salty. My 3 guests and I had the classic lunch box, the sushi of the first box was great but others are so salty, so we couldn’t eat all.
I like the downtown one better as the rice came in was cold and hard in the mid-town, not very fresh. dessert was amazing but the lunch signature Manu wasn't impressed, we had rock shrimp , Chirash, and beef as main course, nothing special.
The food took a long time between courses to be served
Delicious meal, server was amazing, and you pay handsomely for all of it.
Unfortunately the bathroom cleaning was horrible.
Normally very good, we’ve been here several times and usually enjoy. This time was off. They seemed a little overwhelmed. The creamy spicy crab dish came out blackened, way over cooked. At these prices , that never should have left the kitchen.
Great food & service. One of my favorite restaurants in NYC.
Just the best place for entertaining and amazing food! I could eat here overnight...except I'd go broke!
Wonderful! Nobu never disappoints.
Our waiter needed to be hailed down for every need. This was not the quality or value you would expect of is justified by the Nobu name. We were highly disappointed.
Food tasted off except for the crab tacos
Food was amazing and the service was exceptional. Loved each dish as we did the omakase. Will be back again!

Nobu is always outstanding! We had their signature dishes: the Yellowish Sashimi with Jalapeno, Spicy Rock Shrimp, Toro Tartar and Miso Cod with the Bento Box for dessert. Everything was fresh and full of flavor, delicious!!
The service was really bad, it took 45 minutes before we got drinks and after an hour we hadn´t gotten food. Because of this they started cleaning around our table before we got our maincourse (we had tastingmenu) and almost threw the food on the table. One in our company is allergic to mussels but they served all of us (including him) mussels after our maincourse, this could have gone very bad. In all - a very disappointing visit to what we thought would be a highlight on our New York trip. So disappointed!
Great service, fabulous food but WAY overpriced. Dinner for 7 was almost $1000. Silly money if you ask me, regardless of the quality. Paying for the name.
The menu is meant to be family style. So many choices! The staff is very helpful and spend the time to answer questions and share recommendations. Food was delectable! My favorite were the salad dishes with tuna and with grilled shrimp.
Loved everything about it
Some pieces of sushi were not very fresh. The waiters seemed scattered. All other food was so delicious! But not the usual Nobu quality.
No real complaints, but also nothing really special either. It is pricey - but not unwarranted.
Bellissimo ristorante con ottimi piatti. Personale cordiale e pronto a rispondere ad ogni domanda. Qualita del cibo ottima ma molto caro. Forse la musica era un po‘ alta di volume.
This was my birthday dinner at my favorite restaurant. It was exceptional! Service and staff were outstanding. Food presentation was incredible. Outstanding celebration!
