Nice place very good value good service very good food
Great location. Great menu. My guests and I enjoyed dining at Nile’s.
Very dated, but near empty during our brunch. Service was the highlight. Good food, not exceptional. Would go again if I needed to eat near Penn station.
great place to start your night at great drinks good wholesome food with a perfect atmosphere
Excellent food. Service and ambiance. Will definitely go back
Great value for money. Close to penn station and Madison Square garden
This was a great place to meet. The food and the service were excellent. Great value.
Service was good, food was just okay, nothing special. Best thing was the orange and beet salad. Restaurant was extremely noisy.
Went for lunch. Prices are reasonable. Food was delicious. Service was great.
Service was great and the ambiance was great. However, my meal was on the salty side. Didn’t really feel like there was anything noteworthy about the Sea Bass however I did enjoy the Tuna Ceviche.
Great place for dinner before going to MSG. good food, but very noisy.
Food was over cooked
Filet minion ordered rare came out well done.
Chicken over cooked and dry
Service terrible. Waiter was terrible
My wife and I each had different salads and we enjoyed them.
I had Chilean sea bass which was delicious and my wife had scallops
which she which also was delicious. This is our go- to restaurant
for an event at the Garden.
Great price for great food. Lunch special was super easy, not too big or small of a serving and fairly cheap for Manhattan. Will be returning!
Comfortable seating, tables are nicely spaced. Service was excellent. Interesting cocktails . Menu had varied types of appetizers and entrees, as well as specials. Food was nicely presented and delicious. We all ate different entrees and were pleased. Attractive dining room without being pretentious. Good portion size. Given location, a great place to meet friends coming from different parts of NYC area. Only negative is the noise from the bar area. While the bar is separate and in another area, the noise can travel. But certainly able to have a conversation with ones dining companions.
Sehr gutes Essen, sehr aufmerksame Kellner.
Besser reservieren, war nach 7 p.m. sehr gut besucht.
Daughters 18th birthday during our stay in Manhattan. It was a lovely visit to Niles. We visited on a Monday night so maybe quieter than a weekend night. The food was gorgeous, Good sized portions. The restaurant had remembered our daughters birthday, when we added this to our online booking and presented her with a complimentary desert and sang happy birthday to her. Thank you very much
Had a great pre-show dinner before concert at MSG. The bar was nice area to wait till friends arrived. The food was excellent and pricing was reasonable for NYC. Would definitely go back for dinner!
Very convenient for LIRR and NJ Transit commuters to meet for breakfast and lunch in a quiet place to discuss business.
Great brunch offer
It was very good. Great for MSG location. Food was good service good and ambiance very nice. Value good too. Will go back
Great service and food selection. Loved the decor. Kind of on casual chic Art Deco ish. Not too shabby but not pompous. Our meal was amazingly delicious
Great food and attentive servers. The swordfish with mango salsa was delicious. The bar area was quite loud, but the dining area not so bad that you couldn’t have a conversation. I would return next time I’m in the neighborhood.
Much too noisy
We had a great experience at Niles. First, they were very accommodating regarding our reservation because we were traveling a long distance and through rush hour. Then the wait staff was patient as we waited a few minutes for our daughter to arrive from downtown. The room was comfortable and our waiter was pleasant and helpful. The menu choices were varied and interesting and what we ordered was delicious. We had the romaine lettuce and the beet and orange salads, the sea scallops, tuna, and salmon entrees. It was also a convenient location for catching a show at the Garden, which we were. So, all in all, we enjoyed the experience and would gladly go again and recommend Niles New York City to a friend.
Great spot near Penn Station and MSG. The place was a bit too noisy for lunchtime business, which was the purpose of our lunch. Sandwiches were great and a generous serving, as well as fries. Service when available was good but a bit spotty as we could not find waiter as promptly as we would have liked.
Though this restaurant tends to be very quiet (front bar is lively), their food is consistently excellent. This time I had the jumbo shrimp starter with pan-fried scallops as the entree - both were perfectly cooked, flavorful, and delicious.
Drinks tend to be more expensive than average - even for mid-town - think $11 for white wine spritzer - but overall this is an wonderful spot for a quiet dinner.
NILES NYC is perfect for a business lunch. Terrific food... loved the Lobster Bisque and good lunch entrées as well. But room is quiet and good for business. Very convenient--right across from Madison Square Garden and Penn Station.
Service was very attentive but allowed space for my meeting.
Very close to Penn Station, to meet up for a bite to eat before hopping on a train. The food was very pretty, but I was disappointed at the high sodium content. Overall a pleasant experience, the wait staff was attentive as were the hosts.
Great location for dinner before event at msg. Only reason for going. Food is ok. Plenty of choices for apps main course and desserts
I picked this places on a last minute whim. My daughter and I were going to MSG and didn't want your typical bar/pub type place. So I booked Niles (after reading some great reviews) and I have to say, it was a VERY pleasant surprise.
Niles NYC is the perfect restaurant to have a meal before or after MSG events. The food and service was great! Unfortunately it is a bit noisy but would definitely go again!
Really enjoyed our lunch and location to MSG. Good price and good food, as well as service. Really enjoyed our experience.
Went for brunch at 11 AM before our 1 PM concert at the Garden. Nice atmosphere but the amber LED lighting was a little difficult to adjust your eyes to against the white walls. We really liked the pictures on the walls as they added some color and depth to a not so big room. The food was very good. We ordered two of their omelettes off the brunch menu. They were delicious. The complimentary brunch cocktail was a nice touch too. Making a reservation through the Google site didn't work correctly. If you make a reservation, go directly to their website. Even with the reservation gone missing, the hostess was able to accommodate us on a busy Sunday morning.
Food was very good. Service was very slow. Asked for a refill of coffee and the waiter charged me for a second pot of coffee
The food, ambiance, decor, lotion, service were all exceptional.Would highly recommend this place for lunch.
We waited for 50 minutes fot our main dishes! The food was delicious but the restaurant was so dark and had an awful colorful lightning that we could not actually see what we were eating
Food was excellent, service was on point, and drinks were well poured. Portions were just the right amount to save a little room for dessert. Over all very enjoyable and a fair value for midtown. Definitely would recommend and go back. This was our first visit to Niles, recommended by a friend. 👍👍👍👍👍
Perfect location for commuters coming through Penn Station - clean, good business atmosphere and the food is pretty good for breakfast time.
Not much to see at all on the outside as it is tucked away inside a hotel, and you would miss it if you were not looking for it, but the food was surprisingly good for a hotel restaurant.
Fresh ingredients, food was prepared well. My wife had a seafood pasta which was cooked perfectly and the best dish we had. My son had the Margarita Pizza which was very good and freshly made. I had a tuna ceviche which also was excellent.
A very lively scene all made for a great dining experience. The restaurant was a little loud though as the acoustics were not great so be prepared for the noise. Wait staff were pleasant and very attentive.
I would definitely come here again.
