Nick & Sam's Park Cities
This was such a great dining experience. Great service and the steak was cooked to perfection and delicious. I went to Del Frisco’s Grille a few nights before and it does not even compare! Nick & Sam’s for the win!
Food was fantastic....steaks cooked perfectly. Service from Keke was outstanding. First time there....we will be back!
This is a beautiful restaurant, and with the Nick & Sams moniker, I was hopeful. Unfortunately, the ambiance was all that was impressive. The service was average, the food was average, but the price tag was high. With so many other choices, I can't see coming back.
I never thought any of the dishes were really flavorful in a good way- my steak was quite charred on the outside, the brussel sprouts had a pretty strong taste of rubbing alcohol, the Cesar salad was mediocre, and the mashed potatoes were plain. I thought it was very lack-luster for such an expensive meal and was pretty disappointed overall.
I thought the place wa since. The servers were nice but slow. We had The crab cake as an appetizer which was good but the sweetcorn salsa that came with it was salty and over spiced . The sea bass was well portioned okay but not worth the price. The side dish portions we are ample for two persons. So although it was a pleasant meal I would give it an overall three.
Hands down on of the best restaurants my girlfriend and I have ever been to.. We will be back soon!!
Went for Valentines dinner and the whole experience was great.
Celebrated our 2nd anniversary. The manager, Creighton, was very thoughtful- he knew I didn’t drink and made us complimentary “mocktails” so that we could toast and bought our dessert!
Food is great! We had poor service on Valentines. Wanted a peaceful/romantic experience and felt like we were treated as if we were at a business dinner with a bunch of men who had already had three drinks apiece. Waitress was loud and unaware of date night!
The food was very good and the service was great. However, they seated a couple who carried in their dog next to us. The couple kept taking turns taking the dog outside walking next to our table. I suppose it could have been a service dog but I am not sure if it was for both people because it was in their laps equal amounts of time and in their arms in and out of the restaurant. I won't go back. At the least they should have seated them in a corner of the restaurant. The restaurant was far from full and there were other places to put them.
The food was below average. Steak came out rare when ordered medium, and the entrees were overall cold/not enjoyable. The appetizer egg rolls were the highlight of the meal.
The calimari and lobster sushi rolls were great. My filet mignon was cooked perfectly. Atmosphere was nice but pretty noisy. Overall good experience
If you’re looking for the quality of the original restaurant you will be disappointed.
Nick & Sam’s Park Cities has become one of our favorite restaurants. The Deviled Eggs are great for a starter to share and their Caesar salad is a must. They have an amazing steak that is half Wagu and and half Angus that is not to be missed - it literally melts in your mouth and a side of mushrooms goes perfectly. If you’re having a Birthday celebration, they bring out a giant lit cotton candy cone that is truly spectacular!!
Really nice lunch spot...not super loud or busy
Wonderful menu and the food is so fresh and delicious ! Great waiter !
Excellent service and the food was outstanding! Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive.
This place is excellent. It gets 4 only because it took 3 tries to get my steak right. Overcooked twice. But they were all over it. Manager not only made it right. But comped the entire meal for both of us. Food And Drinks.
Food quality is excellent. And the service was outstanding by Nicholas and Jamie. Ive eaten at the Nick & Sams restaurants numerous times. The experience is always great. This was an anomaly but it represents the experience I had on this night.
Ill definitely go back. The fact that they took ownership of the mistake then bent over backwards to fix it says alot about their process. We didn’t wont our meal comped. A dessert would have been appreciated, but I give the manager that evening 5 stars for his excellent service. He insisted on making it right and that is customer service 101.
Dinner with the boss. Had one of the special filet mignons and it was truly spectacular, especially with just a touch of hollandaise. Excellent grapefruit martini. Dining was very very loud though, partially because we were near the bar and patrons were particularly enjoying the happy hour.
Ghost town but great cuisine. Maybe business will pick up soon.
Not impressed at all. My steak was tough and service was very slow
Ordered steak medium well asked to butterfly it and they said not needed for the steak one it was rare for it a second time still rare! Great place and ambience and normally good food but they struggled to get it right tonight.
Great! And they squeezed us in because we made reservations at the wrong location.
We were seated at the chefs table. The food was great and we had a fun evening.
Fun place for New Years! Love everything about this place!!
New Years Eve, and it was packed. Wife had the filet, I had the salmon, and both were cooked perfect.
Ordered a bottle of wine - our server seemed a bit of a novice at this type of restaurant and started to uncork a screw-off bottle. Had to ask for bread. Maybe she was just overpowered with the crowd. It was
a enjoyable evening, and we even got NYE hats and balloons - the crowd was having a great time. This was not our first visit, and we'll be back again.
We have our family New Year’s Eve dinner and it was a great experience! The restaurant was very festive as well. The staff was super friendly.
Firstly - Nick & Sam's "Park Cities" is Nick & Sam's Grill. By removing "Grill" from their name, they swindled us into thinking we were booking the real Nick & Sam's. So much so, we showed up there for our reservation on New Year's Eve which we booked a month+ in advance. This false advertising is apparently rampant as the hostess had a sheet to cross reference and say "you're booked at the other Nick and Sam's." Again, NOT referencing that it's just the Grill. And being NYE, they were not willing or able to seat us at the real Nick & Sam's.
On to the GRILL. Menu: limited. Atmosphere: OK. Food: not great. I ordered the Sea Bass. Something I've always read you can't ruin. Well the Grill found a way. Not only was it overcooked, ironically it arrived cold. Room temperature cold, not even warm. My wife ordered the lamb chops which the waiter said chef-recommended medium-well. So we ordered them that way. And they arrived more blue than rare.
Our sides were ok. The mac & cheese was fine. The creamed spinach was fine... but they first brought us creamed corn (very bland) instead of the creamed spinach. We were mostly finished with our meal by the time the creamed spinach showed up.
ADVICE: Stop tricking people into thinking this is not the limited Nick & Sam's. OpenTable doesn't reference that this is the limited "Grill". The email confirmations don't reference this is the limited "Grill" and the text messages don't reference this is the limited "Grill."
New Year’s Eve — we come often and I understand tonight is a special night / the restaurant may be busier than normal. However, we had an early reservation (6:45pm) and had to wait at the bar for 30 mins for a table (not a big deal, but my wife is pregnant and can’t drink so obnoxious / unnecessary when such an early reservation is made). Once we were seated, service was fast but pushy and obvious they were trying to maximize the $/table. I get it / understand, but this is not a top notch destination, more of a local restaurant, and they need to understand that it’s local patrons keeping the doors open...not the same draw or appeal is the original Nick & Sam’s. Either way, love this restaurant and will go back, just wasn’t impressed at all with the service this evening
The room was so loud, but our waiter talked so softly he was hard to hear. I wasn't aware this wasn't the same Nick & Sam's I'd been to previously, but was surprised they didn't have a Gluten Free menu like the other location.
Overall good experience, but much prefer the other location.
Dinner was amazing... great steak and great service.
Great service and the food and ambiance was excellent. Good wine list. Highly recommended!
We went back a second time for the cotton candy “petit fours”— an extraordinary crowd-pleaser!
My husband specially wanted to dine here because he loves the pizza. The pizza oven was broken, so we couldn’t have pizza. Not a good visit
We took our daughter out for her birthday which was also Christmas Eve. The restaurant was crowded and we had to wait to be seated despite having a reservation.
Our waitress, Kiki, was very good but could not overcome the failures of the kitchen staff. We wanted to add lobster to our meal but were later told by the manager that they somehow miscounted and there would not be enough lobsters for us. Poor planning?
We placed our orders, sans the lobster, and received steaks (much later than it should have taken) but none of the side dishes until after the steaks were completely finished. To add insult to injury, the sides weren’t, exactly what we ordered. Kiki recognized this and quickly alerted the kitchen.
The bar was also slow to get our drink orders out.
They tried to make up for the mistakes including “comping” our meal but what we really wanted was for our daughter and the rest of the family to have a spectacular experience.
I know holidays are stressful times in the restaurant business, but this was a clear lack of preparation and training. The system just fell apart under the holiday stress. I thought I would try Nick and Sam’s in uptown but based upon this experience, I don’t know...
We love Nick and Sam's PC, but the service on Christmas Eve was terrible. Terrible even for a busy churn and burn holiday dining experience. We spent 3.25 hours at the table. 7pm rez, left at 10:45, and not because we were chatting it up. We didn't see our waiter for 45 minutes at one point. Two steaks arrived incorrectly prepared, we waited 40 minutes on dessert, we really wished we hadn't ordered it once it arrived.
We did like the saxaphone playing santa - but by the time we left, he was long gone. :(
It was Christmas Eve, so that needs to be kept in mind. Lots of families dining out added to the ambient noise. The cocktail I ordered was tasty, but not strong. The menu is not ambitious, but the food was well prepared. The waitstaff was rushed and a little distracted, but friendly.
Just ok food. Early seating crappy front room location. Nothing outstanding. Off my list
Wendy (our server) was excellent and excellent food as well.
