Wonderful dining. Cozy and delicious.
Great food!
I really enjoyed their fried dumplings and the glass noodles with beef. My friend did have a complaint about her food but the manager gave us a free dessert, which we appreciated. I would recommend for a moderately priced dinner with friends.
Food is really good, service is awesome. On the expensive side. I paid $30 for samgyeopsal that is good for only 2 people.
A little expensive yet authentic korean food
I m using this place more than 20 times. Very nice, great food, good location, Service is always exceeding the expectation.
Something new and interesting to try in New York City. The service was outstanding and the food was excellent. Authentic Korea BBQ for the first time was not a disappointment.
Poor service- we had to ask several times for things we had ordered and our starter came after we finished our entrees. One entree was missing and came halfway through the meal. Water was not refilled and nothing was comped even though we had such bad service.
amazing the food is so wonderful and a great value
Great space, excellent food and an attentive and friendly staff.
Excellent food and service. Our server helped us choose delicious apps and entrees. The fried dumplings were the best I’ve ever had. We will certainly be back!
A little frenzied and just so so but a life saver on a rainy Saturday evening when ippudo has a 2 hour to wait
Glass noodles were delicious. Decent Korean BBQ, juicy beef. The waiter explained about sauces and flavors. Good overall. They have extensive variety of Korean fermented veggies for sale.
It is too arranged for Amaricans from authentic Korean food. It is over sweat and far from orthodox cusine. But their service is more than normal and very kind. Especially, Kimchi is not fresh even if the name has Kimchi.
The service was excellent from all. I love the explanations of the various food choices. John was an amazing server.
Food was excellent and loved the ambiance. Tad on the pricy side but great otherwise. No regrets coming here.
Would not recommend this restaurant.
Delicious food, lovely service.
Very sweet and accommodating staff, delicious food. They have all your Korean bbq standards covered, and executed just as well as in K-town. We have been looking for a go-to in this area, which is full of tourists and boring food. We went as a big group and the pricing was very fair for the quality we received. I suspect it gets crowded for lunch, but at dinner it was very comfortable space.
Good food, clean. Expensive, poor service and no working credit card processing (informed after receiving a $200 bill)
Was very skeptical walking in. We have been to other Korean BBQ places in Queens & Manhattan, so we know what we like when we order.
When you walk in, it looks like a fast food or takeout joint, but then you walk downstairs and its a formal, sit down restaurant. Originally, we were seated at a table without the stove (which upset us since that was what we would be ordering. I think they should have asked, instead of assumed). We ordered two BBQ dishes- the pork belly & beef (I can't remember which one! Both dishes were AMAZING! Seasoned so well and absolutely delicious. The lovely lady cooking the meat also took the time to talk to us about the food.
Will definitely be going back!
I found this little gem right across from Nintendo NY, where I'd been shopping, and was too pleased to find a well-priced Korean BBQ on this side of town, that had the BBQs available all day. The fancy restaurant is through the building and downstairs (but there is an elevator, if you can't do stairs), and it was really confusing when we first went in because the upstairs hadn't fully opened yet, so there was no one to tell us where to go. Once we went downstairs, though, there was someone waiting to greet us.
The food itself was delicious, and we were even able to order drinks (bubble tea) off the upstairs menu. Someone handled the grilling for us and explained all the foods, so it would be great for someone who was inexperienced with korean. Food was super delicious, I got the BBQ for 2, and that and a starter was absolutely the perfect amount of food for two very hungry tourists!
The food was delicious, portions were generous, service was poor, although our server was very nice, she forgot to take our drink order, did not refill water glasses, and a party six people waited 25minutes after our meal was finished for the check. We were going to order dessert but never given the opportunity to place the order, we paid and left with our uneaten portions on the table and not offered to wrap our meals. No short rib burger offered in dining room downstairs. Disappointed.
Very good food and great service.
The staff were very attentive and friendly. We had the Korean BBQ and since it was our first time, one of the staff grilled the meats for us. We had an outstanding experience during our visit.
Living in osan South Korea for almost two years coming to his amazing place was like being back in South Korea. Amazing food amazing service! If you haven't been there GO!! Can't wait to go back!
The abundant sides were all delicious and very fresh. We ordered a seafood pancake, fried rice, and two proteins for three people - more than enough food. We were offered additional sides too! The service was helpful when ordering but seemed to disappear later on. Interesting choice of Michael Jackson music in the background! I would definitely return.
Recently I took a trip to visit the Nintendo Store with friends in New York and this spot was literally across the street--and offers Korean BBQ, it was a perfect fit for our group! We had the chicken, pork belly, and prime rib, and all were delicious! The restaurant itself was beautiful, clean, pleasant service, and relaxing atmosphere. The head server was very kind to our group of 5, and accommodated our meal requests perfectly! Can't thank him and the staff enough for such a wonderful time, and a delicious first Korean BBQ experience for my friends. Will definitely visit again!
Authentic Korean BBQ in mid-town at
Koreatown or Flushing prices.
Food was very good and reasonably priced, even though there was no lettuce, fewer sides of Kimchi and no desert that one would typically expect to get with a meal like this.
Overall decent food but overly priced for the amount of kalbi you get to grill. Service was efficient and plenty of complimentary condiments and Bayley hot tea. Really wished they gave more beef in their order for $36
It was a great experience. My husband and I aren't expertise at Korean BBQ and our server/hostess was wonderful. She let us know what the meats and side dishes were and showed us how to put things together.
Went with family that came in from Iowa and wow what an experience! Authentic Korean BBQ with all of the side dishes that make dining in a Korean BBQ Restaraunt great. The quality of the food was very high and extremely fresh. Can't wait to go back!
My co-workers and I had a great time dining at New York Kimchi on a recent Thursday night. We had a group of about 10 people and son of family who owns the establishment could not have been more accommodating and hospitable. We ordered kalbi and samgyupsal to start and ordered individual dishes such as bibimbap and soon doo boo ji gae which my co-workers devoured. The consensus best dish was cheese duk bo gee (spicy rice cakes) which was given complimentary by the owner's son. We finished our meal with some mochi and really could not have been given a better time. Totally recommend this spot for those who love Korean food!
Where should I begin... This place was beyond our expectations. The service was amazing. We were beginners with KBBQ as we mentioned to our server, he explained briefly the popular items and how it works. We went with most of his recommendations and everything tasted amazing. More food than expected but hey we weren't complaining. Overall the experience was warming, filling, and again amazing. Definetly not out last time going there.
Food was ok, does not compare to my Korean BBQ experience in Korea so I had to grade tough. Too little food for the price when I ordered a double order.
Did not have the same server for the whole meal, hard to bond with the server when this happens; dining experience is less personal.
Home made Kimchi was very good. I liked the fact they also served a mild flavored variety as well as spicy.
We do our usual "day before Christmas Eve" jaunt into the city to do Bryant Park Christmas Market and then over to Rock. The challenge is finding a descent place to eat between those two that is within walking distance and can accommodate a group of about 14. This is both and to top it off, reasonable prices and good service.
Good place for Korean in midtown
Highly recommend. The food was fantastic. Atmosphere kind of feels like a school cafeteria.
I have been coming here for lunch once a week. The price is much cheaper than dinner. And food is very delicious. Came with big group for dinner once also. Not bad either.
