Alta Trattoria is a neighbourhood treasure. The food is unique to the Piedmont region of north-west Italy. Despite being a frequent and enthusiastic Italian food eater, I encounter many dishes and pasta combinations that I have never before encountered. On previous occasions I have dined with a group and that allows various snacks and mains to be ordered and shared. Not so easy with dinner for two for my latest visit. But I needn't have worried! The La Sinfonia, "a symphony of pasta" set menu was offered allowing for snacks and 4 different pastas in small serves, including 2 that weren't available a la carte. Everything was delicious, but it's the service that takes Alta to the next level. Low key, professional and friendly the staff were absolutely terrific. Not cheap but great value and the decor, which includes some lovely art works lends itself to a low key mid-week dinner or a special occasion. Love, love love Alta and would highly recommend it.

Cellar is excellent for a small to mid sized group. Service friendly and attentive. Wednesday steak night is a bargain

I honestly couldn’t fault anything. The service, quality and food was all perfect! My partner and I had the ‘Date Night’ special and we were very impressed. All the food was so fresh and flavoursome and the tiramisu was AMAZING. We will definitely be back :)
