Bastardo is the latest fast, loud, and delicious joint from the Porteno crew. This bold and exciting Italian restaurant is nestled within the Holt St Precinct of Surry Hills, neighbouring it’s sister venues WYNO x BODEGA, Porteno, and Humble Bakery. You’ll know you’ve hit the right spot when you spy the La Parmigiana Pasta Extruder and vintage 1920’s Foosball table. Taking inspiration from home style Sicilian recipes and mixing in a fair splash of modern cooking methods, Bastardo perfectly integrates old and new world Italian. The curated wine-list is filled with mostly Italian wines, and incorporates both minimal intervention techniques as well as a handful of traditionalist wines to suit every boozy palette. Our staff are always happy to walk you through a map of Italy, one wine at a time.
