We had the 3-course set menu and were just about to choose a bottle of wine when the waiter advised us that a free bottle of house red, white or bubbly comes free with that choice, that was a nice surprise and the wine was quite good. All the food was perfect, beautifully cooked and prepared. Service was good overall except they forgot to give me a steak knife before presenting my steak and I had to ask for it. the place is good and the atmosphere awesome. I loved the food. Make sure you try the persian drink: amazing. It's very expensive, but everything is very expensive in Australia. I guess I need to get used to it. The inside of the restaurant is very characteristic. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Thank you so very much for moving away from the limited & boring Tapas Menu..... we were so disappointed with this menu and did not dine nor drink there once .... and we love The Sandbar. The previous menu though simple & basic was extensive and impressive and the standard of food plated was consistently excellent which retained our regular custom. The new menu is vibrant and exciting, the food insanely good. (Though the standard chips were ‘old’ and not fresh considering how busy you were). Would love to see a few items on a specials boards..... a pasta? 2 or 3 more vegetarian dish options would be wonderful. The service and staff were the best thus far, professional, polite and considerate, especially Fredrica and the tall gentleman with dark hair, apologies I missed his name. ..... too busy indulging!!! Please bring back my Mango Majito.... such a refreshing and awesome cocktail ..... a little promotion would certainly invoke customer awareness and sales.... (this love affair began in Maui, Hawaii). Dining & Drinking at the Low Bar (overlooking the restaurant seating) was sorely missed on the evening..... it’s a cool, hip and versatile area, hardly worth a potted plant stand! 😂Sorry! Hell ... now I’m on a roll. You have a great place in a great location.... on the fenceline of the hub which gives a refreshing oasis from the tourist mania whilst still monopolising the fact but the picket fence, though slightly funky somewhat interrupts the ambience and connected flow to the beach across the road thus severing that flow back into the restaurant. .... Only my opinion!! However, the evening lighting and candles are subtly romantic and quaint!! Thks!! See you soon Daisy MoreOpenTable Diner -
This is a lovely restaurant atcircle on cavill. The service is good, waiting staff helpful and friendly. Portions are amazing. My garlic mushrooms starter was enough for 3 people. My son ordered half a rack of ribs, huge portion very meaty. The rest of the party had steak all cooked to perfection. Well worth a visit. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Staff were exceptional. We came here two nights in a row for dinner, we were greeted very politelyand seated down. I order scotch filet stake it didn't come with a sauce so the chef wipped out a very tatsy mushroom sauce at no extra cost which was extremely generous. Lovely staff and delicious food! It will be a hot spot for us next time we visit the gold coast MoreOpenTable Diner -
