Overall, a very nice culinary experience. We were a party of four and had the 7-course menu with wine pairings. The presentation and taste of each of the dishes were exceptional. We were also impressed that the Chef himself served several of the dishes and engaged in conversation with our table following the meal. We wanted to give "Top Air" a 5-star rating, unfortunately the Sommelier's wine service didn't match the exceptional presentation and quality of the 7-course menu. The Sommelier's wine service was somewhat low key/subdued and didn't meet the level of we would expect from a 1-star Michelin restaurant. Three of the 7 wines paired with our food were average (in my opinion), each of the 7 wine pours appeared to be less than 0.1 liters, and when we asked for an additional pour on a couple of the wines we really enjoyed during dinner, we were charged for another glass of wine. Since you're already paying a premium for a wine pairing, many Michelin star or other high-quality restaurants we've dined at give you a normal (or, in some cases, even a slightly above normal) wine pour and/or don't charge extra if you ask for additional pours of a couple of wines you really enjoy during the course of the meal. Overall, the Sommelier's service left us with the impression we were being squeezed for every last "drop".....in this case the Euros in our wallet. MoreOpenTable Diner -
