With the county mandated ‘occupancy minimums,’ It is nice to see when a small Dining Room like this makes no effort to ‘cut costs’ via an abbreviated menu and/or food preparation shortcuts. This was ‘quality meat (lamb) and the vegetables were fresh. (For example- it was a Saturday lunch venue....and the roasted potatoes were not ‘recycled’ / warmed up leftovers from Friday evenings venue.....as is done quite frequently at many restaurants.
The occupancy limits must be hurting a lot of restaurants. It is ‘recognized and appreciated’ when a landmark like this maintains its standards.
Staff was superb and food was fantastic! They even brought out a surprise amazing dessert for my birthday! We can’t wait to go back!
Even during these challenging times Mykonos continues to provide quality food and excellent service.
I tried a variety of items and they were all great.
We were comfortable eating outside in the enclosed and heated patio in front of the building in spite of the 45 degree weather. We had their exceptionally good taramosalata for a starter, along with a bottle of excellent retsina, and shared equally good octopus and shrimp saganaki mezzes as our main course, followed by a galaktboureko dessert. The seating arrangements were entirely safe, the service efficient and friendly, and the meal first-rate Greek cuisine as always.
The patio was nice, the heaters worked really well. The partial enclosure kept the wind out, so the heaters could do their jobs. The food was delicious, as usual, and the service was very professional, also as usual. We have eaten here for years and continue to support this place even during the pandemic. They have made the outside very comfortable even in the cold weather.
This lovely restaurant takes you away from your usual environment into thinking about Greece. I have been there three times, and this last visit we were recognized by the waiter and given a gracious greeting. I was accompanied by my son again, who enjoyed our meal as much as I did. The food is delicious, the service spot-on, and the wines delicious.
I enjoy getting away from the routine, especially now, and this restaurant has the appeal.
WOW! you are missing out folks!. I put Mykonos in the top ten. Really, the Ritz, Lewnes, Osteria 177, and L'Auberge Chez Fancois... now I'm just name dropping. Just don't reserve a table at our "time" please.
Absolutely wonderful food experience. We drive over an hour to get to this restaurant I highly recommend it
Great Greek (& other) wine selection. We split fried cheese starter. My guest had large greek village salad with shrimp for entree & I had shrimp with rice Garides Saganaki . We were too full for dessert. Very glad to find someplace where we could eat outside that had heaters and even blankets.
The Moussaka was pretty tasteless. Interestingly enough, their other restaurant, Nostos, does a fabulous job with Moussaka and presents it very well in it’s own dish plus it’s tasty. Service and Retsina were good.
as close to Greece you can get without leaving the country.
It was terrific as always! The food is delicious... we shared the cold appetizer platter and 2 other small plates.
Our waiter was delightful as he always is.
Our waiter was overly attentive and it bordered on being rude. We felt rushed.
Great! Authentic Greek food!
I have eaten lunch here twice this month. The food is excellent and the service prompt and very knowledgeable. It is nice to sit down to a table covered in white table linens and be served graciously. I highly recommend trying this restaurant, and the Greek food is superb.
Wonderful meal -- the Chilean sea bass was especially yummy.
Nice decoration, providing both indoor and outdoor dine-in options. The food was just okay and a little pricey, not impressed. The service was not good at all, we didn't really enjoy our dinner there. Overall it's a "can-go" place if you have no idea where to go on a Fri/Sat night with friends or a date. But we definitely won't go there again.
The food is delicious, the service is first class, and the overall experience is enjoyable. We held our modified rehearsal dinner here, and even though it was just 6 people the whole evening felt special and memorable. Thank you!
Amazing food! Can’t wait to return.
We had the very best server. Our last three visits we have had the good fortune to have the greatest waiter ever. He was super and the food was excellent as always
Several years of good food and service. Keep it up.
Told I did not have a reservation
Given a poor table but was changed when it was refused
Service was very slow
Charged a fee for using a credit card. When asked about the “service charge” I was referred to a small notice on the bottom of the window behind a plant which stated that a discount would be given for cash. It did not say that there was an additional charge for credit
I will not return to this restaurant again
The food was so very good and served with speed and visual appeal. We will return for more Greek delicacies. My son, a vegetarian was very happy with his choices as well.
We had an excellent meal. The meat trio consisting of chicken ,filet. And lamb chop was tender and flavorful. The whole bronzino was huge with crispy skin. We had the octopus appetizer and it was absolutely the best ever. However, our waiter never told us about the specials for the night.
Then there was a service charge for using a credit card. We eat out 3 night a week at many different restaurants and have NEVER paid a service fee for credit cards. It truly left us with a bad ending.
Food and atmosphere was outstanding. Only thing that I’m pretty upset about is the Waiter asked if we wanted a salad with the food we had ordered and we thought it came with the meal as sides. Ended up being charged for both salads and then later charged a service fee for using a card to pay and wasn’t informed about any of it. Feel very scammed esp with it being our first times there. They should have been better informative about everything and ended paying more than we thought.
This was my 2nd visit to Mykanos Grill, and like the first time, it was wonderful! On September 16, 2020 my husband and I were celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary and we went to Mykanos Grill for dinner. Our waiter was very attentive and took excellent care of us. My husband is somewhat of a picky eater, but he does enjoy Greek food, and he loved his chicken kebobs. I had one of the specials (grilled trout stuffed with spinach and feta cheese). It too was excellent! After our meal, we were brought a complimentary dessert (it was some kind of cake soaked in liquor), and it was very tasty. This restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, and is a great choice for celebrating a special occasion.
Very good Greek restaurant. I've many here many times for many years and the food and service are always very good.
As always, food was delicious and service was impeccable.
Fabulous as always. I love coming here and dining with friends the food is delicious and the service is wonderful.
A quieter, social distance-compliant Mykonos still offers a complete menu with wonderful food. Kudos for the simply prepared but always delicious branzino.
The cost of a greek salad with added chicken came with tax to $22 . Not worth it. The food is overpriced. If you want to sit outside and pay top dollar. I suggest do it at lunch where the prices are a cheaper for the same food.
As always, the food was fabulous! All done to perfection. Even in this time of covid the staff was able to bring forth "Greek Hospitality!" A wonderful way to spend an evening out for dinner!
Very nice place, feel like Greece, great staff, great food
Despite the County's poor consideration of their limited outdoor space which makes it possible for only 4 tables at best, this local find is still running on all cylinders. The food and wine and service as as good if not even better than ever. Highly recommended for their traditional fish dishes like branzino with Greek Style green beans and potatoes
Mykonos Grill is like a home away from home for me. Even during this pandemic, they are up beat and happy to see any guests and they treat you like family .
They were accommodating when I called to make sure we could get outdoor seating and when I asked about bringing our puppy. The server was nice but service was rather slow considering how few people there were, and I never got a water refill. There was no brunch or special menu for Sunday. My elderly, Italian parents are picky eaters and my dad said he wanted beef, so I ordered the filet mignon kebabs, cooked medium, and they were tough with a lot of gristle, so I doubt it was really filet mignon. For $32 for a few pieces of tough meat, some of which were inedible - it was certainly disappointing. I pointed this out to the server but nothing was done on the bill. A special of the day was Greek lasagna, which my mother really liked (I tasted it and it was good) but not worth $25. My shrimp in garlic was fine - not bad but not great. That's why I rated the food "good" in that one of the dishes was good, one was "fine" and the other not good. Really expensive for what it is.
My wife’s and my 39th wedding anniversary. We always choose Mykonos Grill for special occasions because it is as close as you come in DMV to a dining experience in Greece. This time the service was underwhelming and the food was not up to par. Disappointed.
Indoor and outdoor seating was well spaced for the current situation. Food was wonderful and service excellent.
