Musso & Frank Grill
The food and service are exceptional. Thank you.
Everything was wonderful in this historic space. My only complaint is that they discontinued their Liver Steak, a thick filet mignon-sized piece of liver, bacon-wrapped, and grilled. Instead I had Liver & Onions, which was terrific, but not the same. I missed the 'old' menu item.
Our group of six ordered six different entrees from the menu. All were excellent. The service was excellent, also! Our server was very attentive. we will definitely return again.
Great. Food excellent. Just expensive.
Prime rib inedible
If you have 3 or more ask for the room to the right of the front door.
A great experience, as per usual! First time having their Eggs Benedict. Delicious! Such a Hollywood treat!
Great service, great food and great setting. I would recommend treating yourself.
Almost as good as I remember from 40 years ago. But noisier and more crowded.
Delicious! Great service!
We celebrated our daughter’s sweet 16 birthday! We have been coming here for many years the food is always good as well as the service. Then after seeing the movie “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”. It makes going to Musso and Frank Grill more Nostalgic for me and my whole family...
This was my 3rd visit to Musso & Frank, and i was underwhelmed at best. Our server was nice but not very attentive, the food was good but not great, and place seems like it needs a good cleaning. I don’t know if I’ll go back. It’s totally overpriced for what you get. It’s a place to check out if you’ve never been, but that’s it (in my opinion).
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner experience. The drinks were delicious ( gin & tonic), the food perfect. My husband and uncle ordered the prime rib and were not disappointed. I ordered pasta with mushrooms, so so good! We will definitely be back!
I loved my time there! I took a good book and had a nice meal to myself. From the moment I gave my keys to the valet to the time I signed for the check, I felt very taken care of. Everyone was attentive and knowledgable about their establishment.
Love the old school ambiance
Musso and Frank’s is an experience. The food and the service is always exceptional including the valet parking. An LA icon, who needs Quinton, Brad or Leonardo!
Always an amazing experience and outstanding meal.
The ambience is very good with the historical atmosphere for over 100 years and the waiters are friendly. However, there might be not enough waiters in the restaurant as our request gets long time to fulfilled and our dishes got cold when served. But need to say the taste is quite ok.
This was my first visit to Musso & Frank Grill. Our server was friendly and knew how to speak Spanish (which was fantastic because we were hosting guests from Mexico). They have 3 hour Valet Parking (with validation) for $5.00 in back of the restaurant. One of the things that fell short was the French Dip Sandwich. I make a lot of sandwiches so I have a good feel for how much meat is used. There were two slices of meat on each half of the large rolls for the French Dip Sandwich. It was about 2 ounces of Meat in total. It was delicious, but I had the expectation that for a place famous for it's meat that it would be more than just a two slices on each half of the Roll - more like 12 ounces of meat. The French Dip Sandwich was $19.00. Maybe they should raise the price to $25.00 and give at least 12 ounces of meat. Everyone said the food was just good, not great. Our server did not come to the table many times and a 2nd Coke that was asked for was never brought to the table. Will I go back? - maybe if someone asked me to go there.
Horrible service. Second try within 6 months. Salad almost inedible. Won’t ever go back.
My friend and I dine at Musso & Frank Grill about four times a year. We always ask for the same table and always (thank goodness) get the same server. We plays start out with large Manhattans, although once in a while we have Vespers. Both are perfectly chilled. OK, it's only Noon, but only have one drink a piece.
We always swear we will order something different, but we never do. Spaghetti & Meatballs for my friend. Liver with sautéed onions and bacon. We always split a dessert. Yeah, you could say we're stuck in a bit of an eating rut, but what a wonderful rut at Musso & Frank Grill it is.
It was great to not only have a fantastic meal cooked to perfection but to eat that meal with historic Hollywood ambience was just amazing. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a warm friendly greeting that was very genuine.
As always, an excellent experience dining there. Great martinis, excellent food, Old Hollywood writ large, just a fun place to go.
A classic L.A. restaurant always worth a re visit. A bit pricy, but not by much. They were out of nightly special at 5:30, so you know it is a busy place.
Fun night! Great food and exceptional service!
Wonderful ambience, service, food—can’t say enough good things about this dining institution.
Thursday night special chicken pot pie oh my!
We have been to Musso and Frank Grill in the past and love the history and ambience of this iconic restaurant. We took a guest from abroad. Unfortunately the food was below par-we ordered Ribeye and filet mignon steaks which were good (not outstanding), the Cesear salad was average and the french fries (who could go wrong with fries, for goodness sakes!) were wooden hard. [suspect fries were made, refrigerated and heated in microwave). The brioche bread pudding was average. Overall the food could have been better and should not showcase a 100 year old chef.
Wait Staff were professional and attentive. Staff gave a little history of this iconic grill. Meat though tasty was a little chewy.
Good place for a date. The food was surprisingly tasty. I only say that because we specifically went to try all the old timey stuff on the menu but i guess there’s a reason it has survived all these years. Service was excellent. My only complaint was the actual location of the place- I just don’t like Hollywood- but you can’t really improve that..
The food was seasoned. Yet, they could use a Menu upgrade! People such as myself can enjoy the nostalgia experience! However, the menu is not ideal for a repeat...especially when there are loads of options! The Restaurant is on a lot of Tourist maps. This becomes the saving grace of the Restaurant for those seeking Nostalgia and are not too overtly overly concerned about Farm to table!
We love M&F. The service and ambiance are magical. We chose to go on Thursday, so that we could try the chicken potpie. It was beautifully prepared and served, but not as delicious. The fabulous fried oysters more than made up for the CPP.
Just one of my most favorite places to dine since I was 12!
So fun! Birthday for hubby
We celebrated my husband’s birthday at M&F’s. We ended up being a party of 12. I think everyone came because it was at M&F’s. The staff treated our large group with the same perfection I get when I’m here alone. EVERYTHING was perfect. I can’t thank you all enough.
Our server was very friendly, when he was at our table, however he was busy with other tables or chatting with other servers, and it was difficult to get his attention at times. Very frustrating. It may be a sign of inexperience.
My father owned restaurants. He is now retired. He has NEVER been satisfied with a restaurant meal. Yesterday’s lunch at Musso and Frank’s was the best meal he ever had. He even said, how come you haven’t brought me here before!?!
The food is absolutely delicious! We had the lamb chops and ribeye steak with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Highly recommend.
We love this old school Hollywood haunt. Amazing service and delicious prime rib and shrimp cocktail
Ambiance is just okay. I think it should updated a little bit but their booths are very comfortable and the service is excellent! Food is pricey, some good food but I've had the salmon twice and its always burnt on the bottom. Still would reccomend if you haven't been there.
