Amazing service and food!
100% as always. A true Hollywood treasure. So sorry you had to shut down again but you will be back soon, and so shall we!
Great service and even better food. I'd definitely visit again.
Great classic atmosphere and great service. You would not feel out of place in a tuxedo but casual is the norm. They were hospital level COVID protective and clearly taking the health of their customers as very important. It was a litte to easy to go over the top on the bill, but they were not to blame for that. The food is priced very reasonably for such a high end resturant.
I’ve been coming here for almost 50 years and it never disappoints.
In my opinion, the best steaks and best martinis in Los Angeles.
The greatest servers in the coolest ambience with genuine Hollywood history.
There’s no other place like it !
Quite simply, the best.
Our server, Brian was top notch. My friend and I had the prime rib. It was DELICIOUS.
I’m glad I live three blocks away!
Great service, lovely people. The food was tremendous.
Musso & Frank is one of my favorite restaurants in LA, they have always had my heart but after the duck confit they now have my soul. And to visit the first weekend after the Covid-19 closure was very special. Everyone was so nice & happy & eager to be back at work. The bartender was very liberal with my Rob Roy. Here’s to the next 100 years!
My husband and I discussed what our first choice was for a restaurant when restrictions were lifted and we’d concurred on MUSSO’s. When we saw the notice that they were again open for dining we jumped at the chance to reserve a table. They have gone above and beyond to make all its returning guests feel “Covid” comfortable as well as providing their gracious service and exceptional dining experience. At our table was a card saying thank you for the patronage, and everyone from the valets, busboys, concierge, sommelier and our waiter were sincerely grateful to be back and expressed that in their service. The entire menu was available and though we are cooks, it was so nice to have a prime rib, liver and onions, truffle mac&cheese, and their NY cheesecake without the excruciating process of shopping for all the ingredients, the cooking and cleaning. Thank you Musso’s for at least giving us a respite from the quarantine and providing a short “holiday” from the kitchen. Plus, with traffic being so light, our short commute from the Westside was icing on the cake! Praying that you never have to close again!
It was so good to be "out" again, and really special to be made to feel so special and appreciated.
For three years I have made sure to frequent the incredible establishment that is Musso & Franks : it is one block from me here in Hollywood and has always been a place to have kind conversations about the film industry, history, cuisine culture and the ethics of studio heads, starlets and architecture. The food though is one of a kind and made with a New York approach but honors the local Californian portions and cuisine. 101 years of editing a menu to where it is today, it's amazing to see these dishes come to life. Peppercorn sauces, wedge salads, hollandaise sauces to die for and such honor has been made with restaurant protocol since the re-opening this weekend. We appreciate you doing the right thing. The service of Edwin is always fantastic, the kindness of our server Victoria and the famous barmaster, Sonny gives such a powerfully, bright love yet realness to all concocts for us! Love you 'Neighbors!' Musso & Franks is above all, consistent and reminds us as directors & actors here in Hollywood to do the same for each other! Thank you for being an excellent neighbor and I plan on always making this restaurant part of my life as we enter a new time to appreciate what we do. Thank you, Musso & Franks, I'm so glad to be 'home'
First time eating here. Loved the food & place! 😄
Amazing place. Our go to date night restaurant. Good is amazing!
A wonderful time with family. An honor to sit at Charlie Champlin's favorite table.
Good steaks, great brussel sprouts. Fries okay. Au gratin good. Great martinis.
Came on 2nd day after reopening from covid and I felt like they took all of the precautions very seriously, which made me feel comfortable as a diner.
Each person received a packet of hand sanitizer when they first sat down, all staff were wearing masks and servers and busers that approached the table regularly all wore masks + face shields.
The best dining experience! You must get the Martini's.
Our night at Musso and frank’s was absolutely wonderful. The food was magnificent and the service was outstanding.
We truly enjoyed our dinner at Musso they treated us like royalty! We loved the movie Once Upon A Time In Hollywood and have been going to all the restaurants featured in the movie, and Musso & Frank Grill was one of them. We were seated in the Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio booth.
So happy that MF has recently re-opened from this COVID shutdown. The staff was very nice AS USUAL! and they performed all the "safe" distancing and other new temp rules. The drinks and dinner were fantastic , and it was my GFs BDAY, they brought out some spimoni. Thank you, it was great to go out again, and sit comfortably with friends for dinner.
Musso’s is LA and LA is Musso’s. Go, support them, bring back the world.
Everything from the parking attendants to dessert we’re phenomenal. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Food and ambience was superb. I highly recommend Musso and Frank Grill!!!
We had a 5 star experience here on their first night open since closing due to COVID-19. The service and staff are what made it 5 star for us. We were visiting and staying at the Roosevelt and when I saw they were reopening, I was able to nab a 10PM reservation.
We were greeted warmly, and the staff were properly equipped for COVID-19 precautions. They put us in a lovely roomy booth... the dining room with a rich, dark, days-gone-by vibe. They presented us with a really sweet card thanking us for coming in on their first night re-opened. That by itself made it special.
We ordered champagne (Palmer) and a ton of food - Caesar salad, lobster thermidor, prime rib, fettuccine Alfredo, Brussels sprouts... and of course desert. The food was so tasty! Neither of us being huge 'fettuccine Alfredo fans' we still ordered it given the history of their recipe. Seriously, it was probably our favorite thing. It was SO good and the pasta obviously handmade. I have literally never had fettuccine Alfredo THAT good. For desert we could not decide and we told our server to pick. He did NOT do us wrong. He brought a lovely looking piece of classic cheesecake. Now mind you, neither of us are cheesecake fiends but O-M-G if this was not the best cheesecake I have ever tasted. Super light and scrumptious. He told us that apparently it is the only desert they do NOT make in-house, as years ago Frank Sinatra a common patron told them to order it from this place in San Francisco.
I could go on about our experience here last Friday evening... but hands down the staff here is what made it over the top special. We were so well taken care of.
Musso & Frank is the king of all Hollywood restaurants. When people ask me what kind of food they serve, I say Mid-Century Continental, because it’s the last of the great restaurants like Chasen’s, Romanoff’s, , The Brown Derby, & Ciro’s. There are dishes you simply cannot find anywhere anymore. They‘ve kept that fine dinning tradition alive for generations. And when I dine there I know that I’m helping make that happen as well. The food is always fantastic, the drinks superb, & the service never anything less than first class. When you go, do yourself & everyone else a favor and dress for a nice evening.
My favorite restaurant ❤️🍸
Everything outstanding, as usual. Special thanks to Craig, Peter, Manuel and the kitchen staff.
Musso and Frank cannot be topped!
Last Friday night was our first visit to Musso & Franks and we absolutely loved it! The atmosphere is old school cool, loved thinking about the movie scenes that have been filmed there over the years. The service was excellent and our steaks were grilled to perfection! Sad to hear that restaurants are closing down again in California but we will definitely watch for them to reopen!
Been going here for years. Always the best experience which is why I take my closest clients there. Never disappointed.
This is a must go to restaurant!!! We went there for my birthday on March 15th. We were seated promptly and greeted by our server right away. They even gave me a birthday card and a dessert! The food is impeccable for taste and presentation. Get the creamed spinach! You won’t regret it! I only wish I could stop gain before I he’s home!
The steaks barely required cutting with a knife! The melt in your mouth, and the service was top-notch, class all the way. I will definitely return here!!
Great food and cocktails with the Hollywood of the past vibe
My family’s& l had an amazing time. Staff was so attentive, food was awesome & I’m looking forward to my next visit. Prices were affordable. Martinis, you gotta have one. 😀
They were on the eve of a mandatory closure, but their entire focus was on providing us with exceptional food and service. A wonderful staff: We hope they all can be sustained until the coronavirus is defeated.
Fantastic experience as always! Delicious dinner and martini.
This place has old school charm. A majority of the waiters have been here for close to 20 years. The service is impecciable and the food is top quality. The martini's are perfection and come with extra on the side. Musso's is where you want to go when you want to treat yourself to something special.
I recommend at least one visit to this restaurant. I have been to this restaurant twice before and have ordered different items each time. All have been good.
Best meal!!! I’ve been many times and never have been disappointed. Everything on menu is great. We had strawberry-rhubarb cobbler for dessert which was a special for the evening. It was fantastic! Thank you.
Fun place! Great combo of old world and younger crowd. Food was very good!
Consistent and delicious. While the restaurant is now 101 years old, the quality of fish, meat and sides has not diminished. We had the crab cocktail, shrimp cocktail and sand dabs. All of the seafood was fresh and tasty. We also ordered the daily special-- chicken pot pie-- and enjoyed it immensely. The steaks maintain high quality at a fair price. The red-jacketed waiter offered insights, timely service and great manners. We'll be back many times . . .
At 100 years old this is still one of the best in LA. The best part is that the kids have discovered the GREAT martinis and terrific food.
The service is by professionals and it's really fun.
I have lunch there as often as I can.
Great to see this old standard more than surviving it's thriving.
