G's Steak Sauce
Butter Poached Lobster / Crme Fraiche / American Caviar / Petite Chive Sprouts
Twice Baked Potato
Mr. G's is a hidden Gem. I've been visiting for years and have never had an experiences short of outstanding.
Love Mr Gs
Food was excellent, but the service was inconsistent. It went from fawning and overbearing to where is someone?
Nice and intimate place
Came here after getting in late from a flight. Service excellent. Food amazing. Steak was perfectly cooked and lobster was the best. Good wine. Would come here again.
We LOVE their food, service, and ambiance. THE BEST!
We were so disappointed that they wouldn’t be open Saturday and Sunday so that we could eat there again on this trip.
We had to stay overnight in Dallas and this restaurant is one of my favorites. Highly recommend.
Service was outstanding.
Love this place. You feel as if you have stepped back in time. The only thing better would be Frank Sinatra singing to you while you dine.
Food is excellent. Service got slower as resturant got busier. Only 3 waiters for the restaurant.
The only other thing is we came for a nice quiet dinner, they sat us and the next 3 parties along the right wall all bunched up together and the rest of the restaurant was empty. So it was anything but quiet.
Restaurant was quite good - excellent steaks. However, the noise level was over the top. There was one table of about 10 diners who were screeching/screaming at each other. Having said that, it's not clear what the restaurant could have done in the way of noice abatement.
Excellent food and service. Perfect for a business meal or a date. We were staying at the hotel, so nice break from the hotel’s meeting food.
Mr. G's is, hands down, the finest Steak house in the country. We've been to more than a few others but none of them come even close to the ambiance, quality of service, and excellent, exquisitely prepared steaks. All the others might hit one one or two points but none come close all across the board.
This is our absolute favorite restaurant in the world. It’s stunning in every aspect.
The service is exceptional. From the greeting by Mr Ferguson, to the choreography of the entire staff, one wants for nothing. Timely service sees to be their speciality. I wanted a very slow evening without being engaged every few minutes - the staff exceeded my expectations.
The food is also exceptional. Foie Gras, crab cake - both perfectly prepared and presented. The salad was fresh and inventive. The steak (dry-aged ribeye) was cooked perfectly.
Definitely missed the mark. Steak listed as 18 oz bone in ribeye. No way it was more than 12. Ordered peas and carrots. They didn’t come. Prices way too high for the value. I’ve been to good steak places all over the World. This was not one of them. Quite disappointing.
A delightful surprise. This little place is elegant and relaxing - first class service and the food is outstanding.
Service was spot on. Food was perfectly prepared and plated. Steaks were so tender, they melt in your mouth. All this with Sinatra playing in the background. Perfect.
The lobster bisque was the best and very rich. We went on a Tuesday hoping the service would be better since it was during a non peak time. It took 45 mins for our salmon to come out and we ordered the twice baked potato with no bacon and bacon was added. Once the potato came out with no bacon, we were already done eating. It wasn’t a bad experience, but not worth the 40 min drive.
One of the best restaurants we haver been to!! Come back again and again!! Consistent quality and superb service from a staff that has been there for many years!!
Old school steakhouse and that’s a great thing!!!
Great food. Mushrooms were fantastic. I would return.
Very attentive and knowledgeable staff, quality wine selection at reasonable prices and very tasty food!
Trying to locate this restaurant was a challenge, but the visit was well worth it. The service was outstanding and all of our food selections were wonderful. The restaurant is located in the Hyatt Regency hotel which is situated on DFW airport property.
One table of people were loud and obnoxious. I guess they didn’t understand the protocol of fine dining. I would have given the restaurant more ambiance stars if it wasn’t for that table of people.
Great restaurant, good staff, we had steaks, which were perfect. Would happily go back there.
Excellent as always
This is our second time and we enjoy the service and the food! The filet is excellent and the lobster Bisque is the best I have ever had and comes with a little bit of caviar! So good!
Standard top level steak house. Prime steaks, both wet and dry aged. Very traditional feel with low lighting, white table cloths and a Maitre D that fits the classic mold--friendly, confident and in control. Prices are good as well. the steaks are a little less expensive than most competitors and include one side. The sides are individually portioned.
Great service- outstanding steaks- and wines.
As always a fabulous experience. Food, service and ambience excellent.
Fantastic dining experience! A must when flying out of DFW.
Mr. G’s is excellent every time we visit. Every course was outstanding, and service was impeccable.
The service was excellent & the quiet, cozy and relaxed atmosphere was a welcome respite from the busy lobby. The prime filet was expertly cooked. The Maitre'd is the best!
We never expected this level of dining and service at an airport restaurant, but we were pleasantly surprised. A quiet atmosphere with subdued background music set the tone for the meal. Our appetizers and entrees were delightful- steak for one and the fish special for the other. A modest but well thought out wine menu complimented the food. A great meal if you are staying at the hotel but worth the trip even if you are not.
Wonderful dinner with friends. Service was excellent from the moment we showed up. We had a small one with us (1.5 yo), and where other restaurants at this price point may have “suffered” a small child, the team at Mr G’s cherished him. Our host was charming, our servers gracious and the food was wonderful. From the crab cakes and mushrooms (appetizers) to the seared snapper, filet, ravioli and chicken (entrees), we were thoroughly impressed and well-satisfied. I was particularly enameled of my seared snapper, a daily fish special. Highly recommend!
The waiter was great and everything came out fresh. But whom ever packed my take away food just dumped and mixed everything together. They also laid my to go boxes sides ways making the sauce and juices run out. Extremely upset when I got home.
Very Nice! Great food, wonderful service, nice wine selection. The Foie Gras was devine, and the steak was cooked perfectly! I feel like it is truly a hidden gem. We will definitely return!
Be sure to tip the maître d’,... he embodies the spirit of Mr. G! Read the history. Can’t wait for my next cancelled flight out of DFW!!
