Since Momed BH has closed, Momed Atwater Village is now our go-to place.
Lunch. So yummy!
I used to love Momed & frequented it. A few years later, it was still ok but expensive. The grilled octopus remained a reason to dine.
In recent years, the restaurant got expensive ... fine dining is expensive.
Tonight’s meal was terrible. The Moroccan shrimp were overcooked to rubber. The pita bread was heated to a crisp & that wasn’t what was intended for it.
The cost for 3 was identical to Hippo in Highland Park or Osen Izakaya in Silver Lake which are terrific. Momed no longer is.
The food was absolutely delicious, and each dish I traduces something out of the ordinary. We especially loved the eggplant nikra (sp??), the crispy artichokes, the meatballs, and the Moroccan shrimp. We’ll have to go back to try everything else.
The service was outstanding. Our waiter was very nice, and attentive without being intrusive.
It was a relaxing space, with tables far enough apart that we couldn’t hear other conversations, and the decor was casual, yet special.
I would recommend this restaurant unreservedly.
Excellent even with a large party ongoing while we were there
One of our favorite places in LA. We make a point of going for brunch every time we visit. Wonderful open space, great vibe and friendly, accommodating service. Very kid friendly for brunch. Food is lovely and the cocktails terrific!
The food is always excellent and for some reason it feels like you've left LA, even with trains occasionally
going by. Staff is welcoming and attentive.
Always the most fresh high quality food prepared beautifully
Restaurant is almost all outdoors. Very small actual indoor space. Waiter would not provide separate checks. We asked to speak to the manager and he then said he would divide it up at bill time. In fact he did not, and there was a delay as he had to figure out what each of us had ordered. It basically ruined the meal.
The food is good, but I think overpriced for what you get.
Trains are on a track just behind, and I mean 5 feet behind, the restaurant. There is a screen which prevents you from seeing the train. The first train was frightening but then as we became accustomed to the constant din of trains it got better. When a long freight train came by the noiuse was deafening for a few minutes.
If you do not mind overpaying and are splitting the bill with another couple and do not mind overpaying, the food and ambiance is pleasant.
We always enjoy this local gem. They’ve steadily improved the atmosphere and menu and we love it!
Perfect place to meet up with friends and family to enjoy a great meal
This is my favorite restaurant in LA. The food is always exquisite and the atmosphere is ideal--tranquil, beautiful space.
Come for the Greek wines and stay for the delicious mezza and the chilled out vibe. I've been coming here off and on since they opened and always enjoyed it, but this last visit, the food made a big jump in deliciousness and the wine list improved.
Always a great time there -food is great -I LOVE the cleopatra salad , mojo potatoes & Meze dips sampler. Chill vibe , very casual.
Always a fun choice for an evening out with friends. Great service, fresh and delicious food, and great cocktails!
Just discovered this gem in Atwater Village and had a truly wonderful dinner. Patrick, our server, was terrific and walked us through the menu making various recommendations which turned out very well. Will definitely be back.
3 of us shared 5 items, all delicious!
Fabulous fresh food, nice wine list and delightful service. I highly recommend it!
A few of my friends and I had our yearly meet up while we were back home. Momed was the perfect place to enjoy s meal on a patio and had a wonderful selection of vegetarian options we all shared!
Our waitress seemed disinterested in us and we felt like a nuisance, waiting 20 minutes in between table visits. Even though the ambience was nice the menu was very overpriced. Wait for the happy hour menu if you must go. Recommend sitting at a table, If you want to be super uncomfortable sit at the bar on the hardest bar stools in the world!
Came back to MOMED with last visit about a year ago. Reservation time of 6pm meant the sun was still up on this summer day... and the flies were too. Too many flies which did not dissipate much even when we asked for the overhead fans to be turned on. The restaurant needs to figure that out. Food was good but overpriced in my opinion ($32.50 for lamb tanguine), service good to very good with server Emily attentive. Ambiance always nice there, the bar crowd got quieter noise wise. Maybe I'll come back in a year. Or two.
Restaurant was understaffed and hostess and owner we're not helping them out to make things better for the guests. Once there were more than 4 tables seated, food started coming out extremely slow (had to ask ourselves twice per entree) and not cooked as ordered. Quality has gone down since I last was there a year ago, unfortunate.
We went here on a Monday night and it was quiet. Our server was fantastic and walked us thru the menu and we shared a lot of the plates, and all of them were delicious.
It can get very busy (and loud) here on the weekend, but the food and vibe is worth it, though I'd avoid a weekend night if possible.
Delicious food. Great service. The coffee blend changed since last week. Was burned and a little thin. But I don’t go for the coffee. The food was delicious and the portions are just right.
it's a secret how awesome this space is and how great their food is. brunch!
As always, a lovely experience. This was a special occasion for us and Momed did not disappoint. Some very nice changes to the menu since we were last in and we both enjoyed our cocktails.
Momed is one of my favorite restaurants. Great food, never boring. Modern Mediterranean brings a fresh twist to what could be normal Mediterranean classics seen many times before. The outdoor seating is great, and the occasional train is not a big deal. We've brought many friends since we first found Momed and they all loved it.
I love Momed and was glad to have to be in the area to attend a play! We were next to a noisy table of 4 but the food and drinks were amazing. Our server was exceptional too. Love Momed!
Momed is killer cool in an amazing setting. Food/wine of matching quality. I really enjoy this place.
This was a great place to meet a friend from Silverlake for lunch. Fantastic patio area and shaded. Very comfortable seating and lots of space between tables. My only complain is the salads, which were plentiful in size, weren't very inspired salads. But perfectly good. Just not outstanding.
The restaurant itself seemed out of place when we first approached it and I never would have thought of coming here, but my friend recommended it and I couldn't have been more impressed! The restaurant's ambiance is very clean and relaxing and the spaciousness of the restaurant was perfect for brunch (though they serve lunch and dinner throughout the week too.) They had Blood Orange Mimosas which was very good! All of their drinks and menu items just had that little "something" that made their menu unique! Their food is middle eastern/Armenian based but you will find some traditional brunch items. We started off with the Momed plate which was great - we all loved the eggplant ikra and avocado hummus and their pita bread (which is their own recipe) came in white and wheat options and was AMAZING even on it's own. We shared 4 entrees - the khachapouri, the cinnamon French toast, the pancake (started with a B, can't spell it) and the hangover meatballs. For something savory definitely go for the khachapouri and go for the pancake for an interesting honey/fig combo though the other two were great and worth trying as well! Would definitely recommend this if you want a delicious brunch and you're looking for something refreshing and different! 10/10 would recommend anyone to try this place out.
We will definitely return
the food is delicious and the room is really nice. I will definitely be back!
The menu is so versatile. All the dishes describe very tempting. The food we ordered was delicious and will absolutely go back again.
I am constantly recommending or bringing new people to Momed. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is conducive to conversation.
I have been here many times and have previously enjoyed it, however, I feel the quality of the food has slipped quite a bit. The Brussels sprouts were over cooked, charred and dry. The roast chicken was likewise very disappointing- also dry. I thought the entire experience would be redeemed by the previously spectacular syrup cake dessert, which was swooningly good in the past, but it was not to be. The ambiance, as always, was wonderful and the servers were attentive and knowledgeable.
Food-amazing! Staff-excellent! Ambiance-perfect! Looking forward to visiting again soon!
A customer spilled red wine on my husband’s cream colored shirt. The manager could not have cared less and totally minimized the incident. Didn’t offer to pay for dry cleaning or offer small compensation, like a drink on the house for next time. So I wrote a letter to owner who didn’t respond. Not the classiest place.
The restaurant is in a lovely setting and serves healthy and tasty food.
Ran out of grilled artichoke at 7 pm. Mary’s chicken dalad only average. Octopus excellent.
