The one thing about Modern Barn ways was the noise level. It’s a festive place which is lots of fun. Now because of COVID and space between tables it’s a quieter place, which is also great for family dining. It’s a different and great experience. Please support them and go. They are vigilant about safety.
As always the food was consistent and very good. Additionally, my kids are picky eaters and the kitchen had no issues accommodating small tweaks to their dishes. Well done and good luck.

We celebrated my friend Vicki’s 50th birthday! We loved the warm ambiance and the service was A+++! The drinks were spectacular! We enjoyed Nonna’s meatballs. I loved my chicken Caesar salad! Vicki loved her Arugula salad. The decadent birthday dessert was so delightful and a wonderful surprise! A huge thank you to Bill Livanos who made sure it was so fabulous!

The food is always amazing! The atmosphere was pleasant and staff were very pleasant and attentive. Highly recommend!

Our server seemed to forget a lot of things we had asked for. The food was okay, wouldn’t say it was great. The ravioli truffle pasta was a small portion and pasta seemed to have been hard. The bill can’t be compared to how much food was received or presented. Not in a good way.

Delicious food and amazing atmosphere

Food was wonderful, service exemplary. This is our second time there and we will certainly be back! Beautiful restaurant with high ceilings, and the holiday decorations were lovely.

We had two tables in the tent as we celebrated my daughters 18th bday. The temperature was perfect and the air circulation was great. Spacing between tables was appropriate. Service and attention was excellent. Food was delicious!

Great to be back. We were in Tampa which is definitely lacking in the culinary world. Moderne Barn was beautifully decorated for the holidays and we enjoyed sitting in the tent which was a nice surprise. We had our standbys since it has been a while. The tuna poke and pan roasted chicken. Awesome! I don’t know how they do it but that chicken is so crisp and juicy all the times. Wife had her favorite pork chop and arugula salad. She loved it. Missed you guys, so wonderful to have an outstanding meal again.

New years eve so place was nicely packed but socially distanced and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Lovely seating where we were upstairs. We loved the festive spirit and the service was great but rushed and brusque until the end when they were happy to let us sit. Hostess did seem rushed, preoccupied and not too friendly. She helped out a lot with table cleaning and generally seemed a bit on a mission to get this over with or get people in and out fast. Food was good but I must say our 3 portions of duck breast were all completely over cooked. So, tasty but drier and tougher than should have been. We love the place though as food is generally tasty and it is just a beautiful place to be. If you sat in the tent it must have cost you all ambience. Would always go back but never order the duck breast! Don’t sit in the tent!

Consistent quality of all aspects over many the years

Thoroughly enjoyed Modern Barn for dinner on Christmas Eve. Although a little pricey the food, service atmosphere all wonderful. Will be going back!

3 of the 4 ordered Short Ribs. 2 out of 3 were perfect, but the other was a very fatty piece (no fault of the chef, but the meat itself). It was pointed out to the waiter who brought it to the chef. The cost of this dinner was gratis. A very nice way of handling things. I'd go back again and again to Moderne Barn. That you for your part in a wonderful Christmas Eve.

Anniversary

Modern Barne has become a meeting place for our friends from Long Island as we live in Rockland County. They take excellent precautions during these times so our comfort level is high. Vincenzo is an amazing mixologist and a great guy to talk to. Once seated, we had plenty of table room and space around us. The table service is great. The pork chop and pasta dishes are amazing. Appetizers also never fail to please. And the baklava!!! OMG We love this place.

We were a party of 4 for 8pm. We got there early and they sat us right away. We did wait a little before someone took our drink order but besides that everything was wonderful. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for the holidays and the food was delicious. We had a really nice time and our waiter was really nice.

We went to Moderne Barn for my husbands 50th. We all shared dishes from the appetizers to get a flavor of different things. The octopus, tuna app, meatballs and ribs were all delicious.The octopus was tender, the meat on the ribs fell off the bone, the meatballs were light and seasoned beautifully. The sides were excellent too. We shared Frites, a mesclun salad and the Brussel sprouts. It’s a true testament to an excellent kitchen when such diverse items are all crafted so perfectly. My only complaint and it would be very minor is that the Brussels sprouts themselves were too soft. But the flavor of them was so good it was easy to overlook it. We just order brussel sprouts whenever they are on a menu so we are more critical when they don’t have the right texture. Desserts were the sundae and the bread pudding, both fabulous. Additionally, all staff were masked, menus were paper (although I’d love an online option) and seating was very spread out so you felt safe while dining. I had been here with clients a while ago but my family had never been and they loved it too.

My boyfriend and I decided to try this place after a hike at Rockefeller state park. We went for brunch and the food was perfect. We went early and it was nice and quiet. We ordered The morning after pie, pancakes and burger which was all so delicious. The service staff was super friendly and nice and there was enough space to spread out. We felt very comfortable. They also have it beautifully decorated for the holidays. I can’t wait to come back and try for dinner!

Went over Thanksgiving Holiday with my brother and sister in law who live in Armonk. We had been there one time before and it was very good (food, service, etc.). Not sure what to expect during Covid pandemic, but we were pleasantly surprised at the food quality, the service, and overall experience. When next in Armonk, it is a must.

we were able to sit in an area that was completely open yet warmed by heaters - perfect. if this is important to you, don't be discouraged by the enclosed tent in the parking lot. we almost didn't go in. in between the tent and the restaurant is a small patio that is completely open.

Weekend brunch. Quality of food , service experience never fails to impress. A long time favorite.
