I think that they are still getting their sealegs under them and are also a bit shortstaffed. It took quite a while to get drinks and then the food. Our server, Ashton, was adorable, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu and everything, so i don't fault him. The food was AMAZING!!! I wouldn't hesitate to go back for sure, but i would make sure that i wasn't on a timeframe (we had concert tickets). MoreOpenTable Diner -
This is located in a little shopping village in St Louis Park. There is underground heated parking which is a nice feature during the winter. You do not even have to go outside to get to the restaurant. The place seemed almost empty but the good was excellent. The waitress was very prompt and always made sure our water was full. You may want to ask for ice water as she just brought us a Ball glass jar and filled it with water. The ambiance and feel for the place was that of a sports bar but it was huge. We sat in the booths which were huge and could easily fit 3 on each side, maybe more. They have many different “punch” style alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. I got the punch of the day which was very good. Bourbon with cranberry something and apple cinnamon and rosemary. There was quite a bit in it but I don’t remember the exact. We ordered the Cholula butter wings (4 wings) and they were amazing. I think the quantity is a little light for the price but we made happy hour so it was cheaper. I got the knockoff burger which was awesome. I didn’t even have to put ketchup on it as the flavor was great. My wife got the al bama chicken(or something like that). It was huge and the flavor was great! Each came with a side and we each got the fries which was a healthy portion. They were served in cast iron pans which is unique and a nice tough for a rugged look. There is bowling and other games as well, but no one was really playing anything while we were there so it wasn’t too loud! Overall, we were extremely satisfied and we will back in the future. Everyone at Joan’s was awesome. We sat at the bar for dinner. Everything arrived quickly. Each course was paced well. Joan was happy to chat with us. Kelly and Dan the servers were always available. Chef Susan came out later and was interested as to how we liked the meal. Can’t wait to return. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Solid menu, good food (LOVED the steak tartare), lovely ambiance. Outstanding service— beginning with the hostess, ended with our server and everyone in between. It makes a difference when you are greeted by each and every employee you pass when you walk to your table. Truly. MoreOpenTable Diner -
