I have been coming to the Milleridge Inn since I was a child and I have to say that the experience was very disappointing. My husband and I wanted to have a nice meal in a quiet area. The food arrived luke warm to cold, the popovers which were always fabulous were cold. My husband ordered a pina colada which tasted like coconut sherbert. We were never offered refills of our water glasses, nor asked if we wanted more bread. The waiter we had was very nice and tried to be accommodating, but the so-called matre d had such an attitude. The food is way over priced for what you get. We dropped $100.00 on 2 entrees and 2 appetizers, no dessert or coffee afterwards. The entrees didnt even come with a salad or anything. They were playing music from the 60's which is not conducive to a colonial atmosphere, nice instrumentals would have been better. I felt the wait staff attire was sloppy, the chairs were so uncomfortable. I could go on but you get the point. Even the manager acted so unprofessional when my husband offered a compliment about our waiter and he said "oh, that guy", what the heck does that mean! We will never go back there again. Sorry Milleridge Inn but you should really rethink your operation.
We have been coming to the Milleridge Inn since 1967 when we first moved to L.I. Now we are living in San Diego and we went to lunch with our family who still live on L.I. As always, we love the Inn.
The menu choices were numerous,, the food was delicious, and David, out waiter, was pittance.
Food and services where great but other help was poor, rude help other then waitress!
Not sure if I would recommend anymore. All the food was over cooked. My wife likes going to the shops outside but they are closed to early. We've been going there for over 25 years and we have seen it dying. Use to love going there but now we are looking for some where new to go
We have been frequenting this restaurant for 20 years. We always had a great experience. Not this time. The manager Terry Wilson was horrendous. He argued with us in front of other guests even though we caught him in a lie. He would not honor our birthday club card and called us liars and said it wss an old card. I understand if things change, but you should try to make it right to the customer. No offer of anything. He said we were perverted! Very poor customer service! We complained to the Dover group and are waiting a response.
Always a favorite after all these years
Onion soup and Salad good.
Pot roast, turkey and chicken dry, not enough gravy. Enjoyed vegetables. Port roast tough.
Best dessert was 7 layer cake.
Glass of wine expensive at $11.
If u want beautiful scenery with that “old school feel”, this is perfect. Adorable barn, little shops and pretty grounds. The food is terrible and the service is extremely slow even with a limited amount of patrons.
Recently went here for a graduation dinner with 7 others. The company was great but this restaurant is run down looking and needs to get an update. I have been coming here for many years and this time it just felt old and "sad". Service was ok - nothing special. And the food was equally just ok. For the price I would expect better quality. I know a lot of people fought to have the developer not demolish this restaurant and he agreed - but please bring it into the 21st century. And what's with the farm animals? Why are they necessary?
I was extremely disappointed I travel from Pennsylvania to meet family for dinner. The staff was very accommodating for my late arrival and I was grateful for that. The lobster was completely overcooked dry and tough. Sausage and pepper approximately 3 o’clock was only pepper no sausages in the pan. Time for dessert There were no cannolis left or cream puffs the server behind the counter was gone so there was no ice cream available either. For the reputation and the price I expected to be able to have everything that was available. I hope others enjoyed their visit more than me.
Went for brunch. Lots to choice from awesome choices.
Best Sunday brunch around. Only three suggestions:
1. Serve the lobster warm instead of cold
2. Include two mimosas instead of one
3. Include roasted vegetables
Overall, I would not call the Milleridge Brunch inexpensive. That said, it is one of the best I've experienced. The variety of food is extensive, including seafood (lobster, shrimp, crab, & salmon) a carving station, your typical breakfast fare and so much more.
I went with three friends, we sat for quite some time, as one friend is always late. We must've had the table for two hours. At no time did we feel rushed. The waiter, Michael, was very friendly, very attentive and completely charming.
I'm embarrassed to admit that we definitely got our money's worth. lol.
It is a very very nice brunch and have recommended it in the past and definitely will return myself and recommend it in the future.
During the holidays, the restaurant is beautifully decorated as well which definitely adds to the whole experience, although you may get rushed then as the place is packed. But on any given Sunday, it is a very nice way to spend the afternoon. And after you've finished stuffing your face, walk it off in the little shops on the property.
I always like going here because of the look of the interior. Food came out cold but, my girl and I aren't complainers. We ate it, yes we did but told the manager later. To her credit she was very apologetic and did what she could to make it right.
Excellent food and service. Always a fine experience dining here.
We had the roast duck, chicken francaise, and the salmon. All the dishes were awesome. The cheese cake and the 7 layer cake are definitely worth coming back for. They have a great wine selection. The service was a little slow, but with the food and ambience, the wait was worthwhile.
excellent brunch. Wait service was totally lacking
We have been going here for 30 years because of the ambiance, not for the food.
However this time the food was just horrible. My filet mignon was burnt on the outside and too dry, I asked for medium well not well done. My husbands prime rib was super fatty and frankly not visually pleasing.
The restaurant has always been very pricey, which is fine if the food is good. But this was a big disappointment, and unfortunately it was an anniversary celebration.
The restaurant itself looked very nice. The service was ok. The waitstaff came across as lethargic and uninterested. None of us were impressed with our dishes. The food lacked seasoning.
This was the third year that we have gone to the Milleridge Inn for a Passover seder. Each year they out do themselves. The waitstaff was attentive to our needs and timeframe. An excellent experience and highly recommeneded.
Excellent!! Good food good atmosphere good service
The best place for Sunday Brunch. Endless Mimosas, Bloody Mary's and Champagne, How could you go wrong?
We celebrated Palm Sunday during their brunch service. The buffet options were amazing and the service was spectacular.
I believe this is the best Sunday Brunch on Long Island. The Historic Milleridge Inn is the a really beautiful setting for a very good Brunch meal. Only issue is the per person Brunch price is a little higher than it should be to be considered a good value.
It’s just ok.
Beautifully decorated for Easter our birthday celebration was extremely nice.
Have not been to the MI I’m years. Took a dear friend for lunch, a nice quiet crowd and the food was delicious and the cinnamon loaf bread and popovers as good as always. Great food and value !!!
Very nice lunch no soup, dessert or coffee with special. About the same price without special.
This was a very nice place to celebrate my sons birthday. The waiter made a mistake with his order and the manager came right over and fixed it immediately. The manager then took the kids to the kitchen and let them pick out their own desserts. He went above and beyond to correct a small error and make the kids happy.
The lamb feel of the bone with great flavor. Popovers were amazing. Lobster Mac and cheese was delicious.
We would go back.
Milleridge Inn is still a treat due to the history and uniqueness of the venue. The food frankly is average and the service was fine, but we enjoyed the meal overall due to the overall atmosphere.
Everything was great from the service to the food.
We love the Milleridge Inn. The Sunday Brunch Buffet was great. There was a large selection of food & everything tasted wonderful. We were a bit disappointed in the Prime Rib at the carving station, it was a little over cooked in our opinion, but other than that, everything was fantastic.
The most amazing food at the Sunday bruch. I can not wait to go again! Highly recommend.
I was so pleased with the Milleridge last Saturday night.
We had 4 people. Everyone had a different meal. Everything from the soups to the deserts were outstanding.
I had the turkey which was on the price fix menu.
It was a huge portion and so well prepared.
I will hopefully return to try the sauerbraten next time.
Just wonderful. Extremely generous portions. Delightful staff.
Wonderful St. Patrick’s Day Celebration with Irish step dancers & bagpipes! Great food & lots of fun!
