We were a bit disappointed that one of the two daily specials (the duck confit pasta) was already sold out even though it was early in the evening (7 pm by the time we ordered the food) with the restaurant almost empty because of the pandemic. The food was very good, the service attentive and friendly while respecting our request to enjoy a pre-dinner glass of wine before ordering our food. Two of the three people in our party were enjoying their joint birthday, and even though I mentioned this to the waitress, they were not offered a free dessert as had been the case last year at another restaurant.
Had a great night! Great food! Friendly service!
Would love to come back! Wham bham shrimps were out of this world!
Pretty bad to start with as they didn’t have the reservation I made online ahead of time, luckily it wasn’t full so they could accommodate us. After that the food and service was great
Customer service should be improved especially front desk when you already booked for a table online, but still have to wait on the line!
We arrived 10 minutes early and they could seat us. Our waiter was attentive and addressed food allergies. It was a busy Friday evening...but the experience was still excellent.
Overall, a nice experience. The reason for a 4 star on service was because the main course was brought before the appetizer was finished, which was a lapse in detailed attention. Enjoyed the quiter ambiance, which is often an issue in restaurants.
my steak was hard, thick and not tender at all and the waiter never changed it for me he said he would
cook it to tenderize.
I did also not like that you have not warned us that there would be a small menu for Valentine's Day.
Regular night at Milestones is always packed and full of people, same goes for Valentine's Day. But for some reason we were forced to choose from a special Valentine's Day menu which was really basic and nothing too out of the ordinary. Everything was pre made so the service was rushed, our appetizer and our food got within the first half-hour we sat down. All the time we were there we felt like they wanted us out so they could sit other people right away. Will not celebrate Valentine's Day at Milestones again unless they change their approach
service were good except our server forgot our appetizers. He also described the dinner feature (seafood sirloin) as a great deal for 32$ because you get a 7 oz steak, lobster and shrimp with veggies. The feature should not include lobster because what I got was barely a forkful of lobster claw that looked like it was struggle to extract. The lobster meat was the world’s smallest serving.
This location is nowhere as consistent as the other Ottawa locations. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
Parking close on street (snowing). Table with street view. Excellent server with good
recommendations and restaurant info. 3 of us all enjoyed our meal selection. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Our table was ready when we arrived, and we got out in time for our show. The food was very good, and the portions were generous. Even the coffee was decent. Our waitress was freindly and attentive. Overall, an excellent experience which we would recommend. We will be back.
The food was good and served hot as expected. As for ambiance the lunch crowd was limited to say the least. I’m sure it livens up in the evening.
The milestones atmosphere was nice but everything else about our experience for Sunday brunch was sub-par.
Right of the bat we were told we couldn’t order about 70% of the brunch menu because they ran out of items. Then my mother in laws coffee cup came and was filthy with precious coffee leftovers and grinds. It took about one hour for our food (3 plates of eggs and 2 salads) to arrive at our table, and on top of that the Hollandaise sauce was awfully split and oily.
Overall, it was not a great experience and we will be going elsewhere for brunch in the future.
Not for brunch during WInterlude. But another time I would
The fries that came with Steak Frites were the most disgusting thing I have ever tried to eat. Not cooked (raw) in the middle and soggy. Side salad or whatever it was amounted to warm lettuce and a few red onions, not sure if it was warm intentionally or not.
Waitress brought new potato fries and was lovely when I brought up the issue. New fries were still undercooked but better.
10/10 would not go back to a Milestones restaurant again.
I always find Milestones to be reliably good. The food is varied and tasty and the service excellent.
We were disappointed. We went there every year for our anniversary and they always found a way for it to be special for us. This year it almost felt like we were rushed just so they can flip the table for another customer. Also, even though we wrote in the notes on our reservation that it was our anniversary. The server did not even know about it until we were paying for our bill. Overall, it felt disappointing because we know how great this place can be to go to.
The number of items on the menu has been reduced substantially within the last year or so. Not much selection anymore. Also, every dish we ordered had a different recipe that was inferior compared to what we've been accustomed to receiving over the last 5-6 years of coming to Milestones. Still enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant but the music was loud and annoying. Will not be returning.
When we arrived the hostess offered a high table with stools. We said that we would like something else (there were at least two tables where dine rs had left but the tables had yet to be cleared). The hostess respond that there was no note about those tables in the reservation. I explained to her that we had eaten at that restaurant several times but this was our first time in that room. I also noted that there were only three of those tables and it would never have occurred to me to mention them. The hostess cleared another table and twice more said tha there was no mention in the reservation. By now she was obviously annoyed.
Milestones is one of our first choices for dining out. Usually very good in all aspects. We booked an early sitting for 4 New Year’s Eve. The place was almost empty as we arrived early yet the 4 of us were seated at a small round table suited for 2. Manger was asked for better seating but we were dismissed as apparently all the other tables were specifically assigned??? Through our dining, several larger tables for 4 remained empty so we question the managers explanation. It was remarked to us that we should have requested a better table at the time of booking but never before have we had to consider that as a option. The seating was very uncomfortable and disappointing although the meal was plentiful and typically good quality. The managers dismissive attitude really detracted from our experience and we will likely consider other options going forward. Word of warning though, ask for a nicer table when booking ahead! Cheers
There are a few new menu items of which one is the great steak frites. I especially enjoyed the fried root veggies instead of the regular fries. The only drawback is eating in the bar area because they close off the dining room when not busy.
Excellent service on a very busy night. Thank you for accommodating our Vegetarian friends with regular menu substitutions beyond the Special Event menu, and for keeping fresh pints flowing during your excellent Happy Hour. Even with a full house, the acoustics still allowed us to have a great conversation without raising our voices. A great time was had by all and we easily made our comedy show before the infamous Landsdowne long lineups. Thanks to everyone who made out moments at Milestones memorable.
It’s such a perfect location! The atmosphere was quiet but still lively enough to feel comfortable. We had a very attentive waiter which made all the difference. The food is just great quality and creatively served.
Great food, relatively quick, priced right compared to other high-end restaurants.
The burger was not worth 18$. The fries were cold. drinks were alright but nothing special. Overall just not worth the price!
we are routine customers and need to make you aware of our most recent visit.
The service was extremely slow and my son’s steak was cold when it finally came 5 mins after everyone else’s.
The service was also poor when it came to customer service.
Food was barely acceptable. As for ambiance the windows nest to out table were very dirty.
Lovely food, nice atmosphere, pleasant service, a great evening.
They shut down dining room when business is quiet. Bar & Dinner patrons were all put in the bar area which can be noisy. Food was very enjoyable. The mediterranean chicken & steak frites were perfectly cooked. Staff were very personable & efficient.
My mother told me that if I don’t have anything nice to say then say nothing - enough said
Great service. I like the new menu - lots of interesting choices. We arrived after the lunch rush and the only seating offered is in the bar. I don’t like the ambience or TVs on with sports. Not what I’m looking for at a nice lunch.
We ordered drinks as soon as we sat down however our main course arrived and still no drinks. The quality of food was average at best and we felt like our server had too many tables in her section to keep everyone happy. Overall it was not a great experience.
When you pay good money you want value for it. We have been to this location 3 times now and we are always disappointed compared to other Milestones. I ordered the salad which is suppose to have strawberries and pecans. I got 3 slices of strawberry thinly cut less than one whole strawberry and no pecans. When I asked for pecans for my salad I got pecan dust in a very small serving. I ordered chicken with my salad and barely got a quarter of a small chicken breast and you charge extra for this. We spent more than $100 (2) for our meal and it seems like the restraurant is try to skimp on the servings. Not sure I will go back to this location because this has been the experience each time. Very disappointing!
We had a great date night at Milestones - Lansdowne! The service was excellent, the food was phenomenal and the atmosphere lively. Will definitely return! Recommended!
The seafood pasta was ordered with a different sauce of garlic cream which was a perfect balance. We felt insulted because they wouldn't accept an expired app coupon although the waiter took it with our choice & nothing was said until the bill came.
Great view from their patio! The service was excellent and the food, yummy!
My wife and I have always loved going to Milestones our whole relationship. And this time we went for our anniversary. I still enjoy when we go, I just find maybe we aren't the demographic being targeted anymore. Theres a lack of simple appetizer I would order and the meat sizes offered keep shrinking.
We were chastised by your company for not showing up at the reservation, when in fact we did. I gather that the hostess did not mark our name off the list. My husband’s meal which was the prime rib, it was very very fatty. Not worth the price. My meal was excellent. Unfortunately that night there was an electronica music festival. Which caused a lot of loud bass pounding throughout the entire evening. The service was excellent though
Our server was amazing it was our daughters graduation and she brought a slice of complementary cheesecake with a sparkler took photos for us and was always checking if we needed anything else frequently ! Great experience
