The food was amazing. I got the salmon with crab which was well worth the price. The Jamaica Paloma with tequila was good as well. The service however was terrible. The server barely
Came by our table, nobody brought us refills for our chips after asking, and our drinks were wrong or empty several times. The only reason I give this three-four stars is because the food was awesome.
It was hot in the back room. Fans were on but weren’t blowing enough air. The front room seemed to be cooler though.
The food was amazing! The service could have been better. I asked twice for tortillas and they came at the end of my meal. The restaurant wasn’t even busy. But to be fair, it seems there was only one server working the floor
Great food. Service was a bit slow and our waiter "disappeared" a couple of times. But the food was really good. Small place with great ambiance. I highly recommend!
Creative Mexican cuisine and great service. Pricey $18 with tequila upgrade for dainty and regrettably super sweet margarita martini. Lesson learned to ask price pre- and post-tequila upgrade.
Enjoyed my time at Mesa. The staff was very courteous, knowledgeable and accommodating. The food was served promptly and tasted up to par. The only negative was the dinner was a lil pricey.
I would recommend to go as a one time visit for the experience. If you want to go múltiple times, only do so for happy hour.
We went on a date night for my husband’s birthday. The restaurant was nice and quiet. We were not rushed, we got to have time to just sit and enjoy our food. I think we would visit again.
The service was superb, ambiance was charming, and the food was amazing!
Made reservations thru OpenTable. Wanted a table at 5 pm, app said earliest table was at 6:45. Arrived early and we were the only ones in the restaurant. The food was great, but next time I'll call the restaurant directly.
We celebrated Father’s Day at Mesa! We had a wonderful time and the food was wonderful! We will be back- again and again!
Food was fantastic as usual, Mole Catta and Cochinita Pibil were excellent. Wish the mole catta was a regular in the menu. Our waiter Jeremy was fantastic.
Brought an associate from Sydney Australia here who had never had Mexican food before. He stated that he would fly the 17 hours again just to have the Molè.
It is very good get ther as much as i can
The mole is super! My friend ordered a martini that was wrong twice.
Could be better. Tables in the back room wobble a lot and I feel like I didn't get my moneys worth food portion wise. Also, not huge variety of entrees to choose from.
The staff and food were great! Our waiter suggested the special cocktail and I’m glad he did.
This was a return visit and I’ll return again.
Cannot wait for our next trip to Dallas just for this restaurant! Seafood enchiladas were the best I have ever had and my husband loved the Mole! Everything we had was perfect. The service was great and we loved the atmosphere.
The food was amazing. I recommend the queso, black bean enchilada and seafood enchilada
Their chips were freshly made with spicy salsa and the margaritas were excellent.
Food and service were top notch. However, considering the portions appetizers and entrees, food was overpriced.
Best mole I can recall ever having! Everyone was very nice and the food was great.
Wonderful drinks and wonderful food. Service was excellent. Will return and return and return.
Jeremy provided my party with outstanding service.
I have Celiac Disease and this is is one of the few restaurants in Dallas where I can safely enjoy food.
Mesa is a solid Mexican restaurant that has it's ups and downs. Consistently up are the margaritas...by far the best in the city in years. Their mole is good, although on the sweeter side. Several of their seafood options are tasty, as well.
Great enchiladas, but overpriced
We've been going to Mesa since it opened and have watched the progression from a hidden gem to an energetic place to be. The food, drinks, service, and value have always been great. The molé is fantastic. I wish they still had the molé chicken with green beans, but the enchiladas are a close second. The restaurant has become too noisy for me and the tables a bit too close together up front. I hate leaning in and yelling to talk to my husband over dinner. But a lot of restaurants are like this now, so it's not just Mesa that I fault for this trend. We'll just remember to not go on a weekend next time so that it's a little more my speed.
Wife's seafood enchiladas were fantastic. I had the carne asada and it was one of the worst prepared meals I have had at a fine dining establishment. The carne was cooked as one piece of meat, I asked for a steak knife and was told that it was cooked to be soft. Meat, veggies, rice and beans had no seasoning or whatsoever. Meat had a faint taste of the oil it had been cooked in. Service was below average, very little attention to us as a party and we waited long stretches for cocktails that we ordered. I have been here a couple of times before and loved this place, this time makes me reconsider ever coming back.
The reservation was made for 7.30 pm. Our table was not available until 25 minutes later!
We were given a table at the back of the restaurant where a private party (around 30/35 people) was taking place. The noise was unbeareable! We could not hear each other, inpossible to have a conversation. We complained and we were given a table at the main room.
The food was good and the service excellent.Avoid the desserts, are not worth the price.
The called flan, was no more than a pudding with a lot of flour, not a flan nor a crème brulee.
The tres leches cake industrial made.
The food and the service are just on point, I wish I live close to the area but time is so worth it the drive. Ask for Jesus, he took care of us and his service was just amazing.
Mesa was great, as usual. It is a hidden gem!
The food tasted fresh. The service was great. I look forward to going back again.
Great food and service. Also, I forgot my credit card when I left and the staff at Mesa are graciously holding it for me. Many thanks!
I was surprised by a Valentine’s Day menu for the evening which was delicious. Will need to come back again on another trip to Dallas to try the regular menu.
Food and service was outstanding. Didn’t really like the portion sizes especially since the cost per meal was a bit high and food was awesome, but that doesn’t take away from the excellent taste of the meal. We had the mole and lamb chops. Both were outstanding and we highly recommend the mole if you get a chance to go there for dinner. We are definitely going back soon.
It was a very nice place to go to on Valentine’s day. The dim lighting, small tables, and food and music all really compliment each other into creating a romantic dinner for two.
Cool little place with great service, delicious food and very nice people. Great margaritas and Mezcal Mules. Will definitely be back.
The guac was perfectly seasoned and they have the best chips! We both had the tenderloin enchiladas and they were delicious. The drinks were good and we were even brought a little sample shot, which was very nice. The staff is attentive and my friend said she will definitely bring her husband back again. This was my 5th or 6th time and it's always great!
We loved the food and atmosphere!
The food is absolutely fantastic. We had flank steak and a mixed seafood dish and both were cooked and seasoned perfectly. I highly recommend the mole appetizer as well.
