We ordered a variety of dishes to share and loved all of them. A minor thing was that it would have been good to get bread with the muscles to soak up that fabulous sauce! The service was excellent- helpful and personable. It was a little noisy due to a large full table nearby, but the atmospheric set up meant it did not impinge too much. Loved it! Shared ribs, chicken, fish and sides between 6 of us. Then shared desserts. They even made a special gluten free & dairy free dessert for me, and set it on fire! Great food, great wine, gorgeous ambiance...however let down by tardy service. Gorgeous bottle of wine, well recommended, was sparinging poured and glasses removed before wine finished. First of all the service was outstanding.....very friendly and quick to deliver our meals. We ordered the pork, Mac and cheese croquettes, brisket burger, sweet potato fries (deliciously crunchy) raspberry and lime pie and banoffee pie. It all tasted really amazing! The only thing I wasn’t impressed with was the brisket. It was really dry, chewy and stringy. I’m assuming it was cooked a bit too long. Could have just been the piece of meat they used or just an ‘off’ night maybe. Kodiak Club in Fitzroy is Melbourne’s only bourbon bar. It’s effortlessly cool, run by a tight circle of friends and it serves modern American bar food to complement the exceptional drinks menu. After bourbon, Kodiak Club is famous for its Buffalo chicken wings that are tossed in hot sauce, but the burgers are also exceptional (try the Willy Dawg), as are the nibbles like the chubby nuggets or poutine crinkles. You’ll find Kodiak Club Fitzroy right on Brunswick Street and we don’t know of much American fare in the area that’s better or more refined. Kodiak Club is popular, obviously, so it’s definitely best to reserve a table ahead of time.More
