The relaxed, modern atmosphere which seats about 90 guest's makes Maroush Gardens a wonderful location for a quiet lunch or a romantic dinner for two - you can almost feel the warm winds of Beirut on your face if you close your eyes and let the smells & sounds take you away
Great experience as always!
Out of town visitors.
We ate here based on the proximity to the apartment at which we were staying as well as the stellar yelp reviews and it did not disappoint! The food was the best Lebanese we've ever had and the portions huge. Very family friendly - definite must go when in London
The food is delicious. This is my second time at Maroush and it never disappoints.. highly recommend if you appreciate good food
Fresh food and great chefs. Also would recommend if you are vegan! Lots of choices here!
Food is delicious (but hidden costs on items we understood were on the house). Service from our lovely waitress and waiter was good. The manager, however, behaved woefully. Chewing gum and shouting at patrons is not advisable. Will not be returning.
The service was slow the quality of the food was far below par with other Maroush restaurants. Won’t be going back in a while. Food expensive for the quality.
The food was great as this type of cuisine usually tends to be, I highly recommend the grilled prawns. I think our biggest gripe was the service, it just wasn’t as tentative as it could have been. We were almost irritated at some moments. This was a passing through moment as we were close by but will most likely not revisit.
Food was tasty as always, not amazing but very good.
Service is friendly for the most part but you don’t feel overly special.
Seems to have lost a bit of its edge in comparison to previous visits over many years. May try somewhere else next time.
Food was lovely and lots of it. My friends who were visiting from Canada loved it!
Appalling service - had to ask for wine and water several times. Then ordered some more food explaining we were in a hurry and they forgot to order it, so we had to go without. We declined to pay the service, but they didn't even ask why.
Shame as I remember the food here always being good - but with four venues maybe they have over expanded.
As a family, we love Lebanese food, and it is always very good at any Maroush. We feel, however, that the service has slipped gradually since the first Maroush opened in the Edgware Road. The company could do with sharpening up their staff training.
Food was decent but the service was indifferent.
My husband and I went to this restaurant years ago and we found the service a little brash back then but the food was nice. Now that we have young children and we were meeting some friends for dinner I thought we would try it again.
However we will not be visiting again as the service was even worse and incredibly slow. The starters were mediocre and the main course was awful and it was really overpriced so very disappointed in the whole experience.
The food is exceptional, and authentic. The staff are very attentive, yet you hardly notice they are there. Very relaxed atmosphere; music not too loud. More importantly, I was pleasantly surprised when was presented with the bill. Would definitely recommend it.
Good classic food with unexpected free Lebanese dessert!
I booked Maroush on 23/12/17 for an early dinner for 8 on 24/12/17. It was supposed to be a birthday dinner for my granddaughters after a day spent at the Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. However when we arrived at the restaurant, they had no knowledge of the booking even though I had received confirmation via email. They were kind enough to accommodate us but it caused embarrassment to me in front of my guests.
Food was generally very tasty although prices are highesh for mezze. Good wine selection but house wine could be improved. Presumably pricing is to cover "free sweets and fruit" which was tasty and refreshing. We enjoyed the atmosphere and very good service. Would go back.
Fantastic the owner couldn’t please us more
Beautiful restaurant but looks a bit tired. Needs an upgrade or refurbishment
I am a regular to Maroush
However, i found the manager could have been a little bit friendlier when asking for a different table and especially that table remained empty till just before we left!
The staff are friendly, i do think they require more staff for quicker service!
I will definitely go again though.
Waiter taking order wasn't especially helpful. What I got - some dry chicken and a little hot sauce wasn't what I thought I'd ordered.
Partly my fault but not my finest dining experience. Those with more experience of the cuisine will probably enjoy it a lot more
We had an early dinner at Maroush Gardens and were quite pleased. The food and service were both first rate. Portions were large so we had trouble finishing our main course, but did, because it was so delicious. The starters were also very good, but since we have small appetites, I might skip them next visit.
Gorgeous food every time!!!
Service is beyond the best. Lovely people, exceptional food. My favourite restaurant!!
Best Lebanese on Edgware Road with great service and very welcoming staff
For fifteen years this one has been our neighborhood (Mayfair) standby. We are never disappointed withits varied menu and excellent service.
I’ve tried many of the establishments on Edgware Road but the Gardens remains my favorite Lebanese in the city. Yes, the décor is terribly out of fashion but the quality of the cooking is first rate and the service can be friendly to the point you feel part of the family. In particular, Hassan welcomes me like an old friend. Also, as many Edgware Road restaurants are dry so if you like wine with your meal, the Gardens is one of your best bets. If you appreciate Lebanon’s wines, as I do, they have a good selection of the top producers.
Our table was easily booked with Open Table and, on arrival, it was ready for us. Service was excellent, polite, friendly, professional and well-paced.
Happy to serve three set meals for four people (which proved ample). Food was delicious and varied.
More expensive than we would normally expect but we are not used to London prices. Otherwise difficult to find fault.
Good flavoursome food. Breads amazing. Grill dishes, one between two ample.
Poor service, good food but overpriced for what it is (you can get the exact same food at maroush express basically, for half the price)
Ambience, which should be technically what you are paying for, is just not good: loud (including really bad "happy bday" songs!), feels rushed, feels like a chain
I went there with some friends and they didn't let me sit because they said we are full and we don't have your reservation. It was really an horrible experience, they made me so shy with those friends.
Excellent food and atmosphere, highly recommended. Good selection of Lebanese wines too.
Very nice, really enjoyed it, wasnt that shocked with the bill either. Loved the fruit and Salad u get throughout, made it so nice. Will be returning.
Friendly staff. Excellent food and service. Very hospitable
Poor value for money. The most expensive chicken shawarma I've ever had at £14. There is also a cover charge which I was only made aware of by my wife after leaving a tip. Go next door if you want a kebab.
We had a very enjoyable meal, I'd never been before but the waiter was very helpful. Will definitely go again!
The food was ok but the service was terrible. The waiters were rude and kept hurrying us along. They removed plates and glasses from the table without asking and before we were finished with them and then didn't repond when we called them to bring them back. We had to ask several times for them to bring us water. When we asked for the bill and then chased them as they took ages to come to us, the waiter was very rude about it.
It is a shame as the ambience is lovely and we have dined several times at the other branches of this chain and have never had a bad experience but we most certainly will not be returning to this one.
As ever Maroush Gardens is just a cut above other Lebanese restaurants. The food is simply excellent - great choice and great quality. The bread is just perfect - as it should be - fresh and puffed up with hot air, not pitta from the local supermarket! Great place will return again and again.
Worth a re-visit. Lebanese wines were very good, contrary to my expectations.
