Great selection of traditional Lebanese food and lovely staff. They have a belly dance session starting around 9pm which cranks up the volume but it's still alright - and entertaining to watch!
Been back twice now and will return in the future!
Rubbish experience. Food was cold and looks like a day old. There was no manager in the restaurant that we can complain. Very expensive food. never ever we are now going there.
Be prepared for belly dancing and extremely loud, blasting music... a bit inappropriately loud to enjoy a good meal. Wouldn’t go back.
The service was very slow overall.
Some how as soon as we ordered our meal
They started bringing our whole order within 5-7 mins
Maroush was recommended to us by a friend and it didn't dissapoint.
Starters included the best Lebanese sausages I've ever eaten. Went early so v quiet - which was great.
Mixed Swarma was lovely and probably too much of it. The sauces to accompany were very tasty.
Waiter spilt our wine when pouring was the only lowlight
The cocktails aren't great. Loved the kibbeh but the seasoning was lacking in the mixed grill.
The food was amazing ... we had the lamb shawarma, mixed grill, baba ganoush, kafta meshwi. All of them were brilliant, especially with the 2 sauces they provide. The service was good ... we are at the corner in the basement so it was sometimes difficult to get hold of the waiter. Ambience / environment is nothing home to write about, but it was comfortable enough for the family. We went in early, so had it quiet ... but it started filling up pretty quickly around 7pm. Overall, brilliant food and value for money.
The food is delicious but we were there for Sunday lunch and it felt a bit 'morning after'. Service was haphazard although they did apologise.
Very good as always
Fun night, great food and lots of it, excellent value for money
We’ve had an excellent meal and we loved the belly dancing and live music, we will certainly go there again
Reasonable, the food is average compared to most Lebanese restaurants I visited in London but slightly overpriced. Overall feels like casual dining rather than fine-dining
My first time in a Maroush. Excellent, authentic food. Attentive service. And a reasonable charge at the end. What's not to like.
Very noisy, food full of salt, way too expensive bills included items never ordered. Used to be my favourite place but m never going back
Met with a group of friends I hadn’t seen in a few years and was an ideal location for friends coming from Essex and Surrey to meet in the middle.
Went for set meals which took away the stress of ordering as a big group and we were able to dive into shared platters, enough food for us and good variety too
Live entertainment was a bonus to the evening which started with a live singer knocking out a few modern / well known songs followed by a belly dancing who worked her way round the floor.
Old fashioned- the place needs doing up And it’s dark but the food is very good and good value.
Over all , it was ok.
The ambience and the singer perfect. The food average
Loved the food, and the service was excellent. Friendly atmosphere, and not rushed.
Got the shawarma mix served cold as it was lying on the counter waiting to be picked by the server.
Mixed grill was average quality. I came from Atlanta and honestly even an average middle eastern or Persian or Lebanese restaurant there has better quality and quantity food to offer than this one.
Not too impressed at all.
Loved this place, would definitely go back again and again . The live music was fantastic, as well as the food and cocktails. Very reasonably priced. All our dishes came at once, so we could pick away at it while we enjoyed the live entertainment and have drinks.
The Food and Service was great the only thing that let it down was the decor was not in Lebanese Style and the washrooms were untidy with broken toilet seat.
Really fun experience with the belly dancing!
Food is amazing. Please try the garlic sauce and thank me later! The belly dancing was a nice add on. Reasonable prices too!
I love it. Still one of my favourite Lebanese restaurants. Speaking while the belly dancing is going on is always a challenge as it can be too loud but otherwise than that the food is great, very filling and an ideal place for supper clubs.
The food and service were both superb, however what did it for me as extra points was the huge complimentary plate of fresh fruits served at the end of the meal , bravo!
I'd recommend this to friends and family. Lovely staff and great good. Thank you.
Food was OK. Service was food and pollite. Live show began just when we were leaving. Could have add that something to the evening.
Delicious food. Unfortunatley missed the belly dancers, and the service was a little bit slow. But lovely otherwise!
I have always find Maroush 1 very comfortable and excellent dine out place.
I love the food and they have great command on the way they provide their services.
Excellent over all,
I love this place. Great food and friendly efficient service (Vladimir is great). We always go at Christmas and have a fun time with a bit of belly dancing.
My only complaint is that they always mess up the booking which makes me nervous as we are usually a larger group. This time I called to confirm a table for 10, an hour later they called to confirm a table for 8. When we turned up there were 9 chairs. It always works out but I always worry that one day we won't get our table.
Fine food versions of the typical. Extremely tasty and fast turnaround!
Excellent food and fun ambiance. Music and belly dancing too.
I enjoyed every moment. The staff were amazing. The live music to the belly dancers was great
Very nice place and kind people. Food really tasty and good
Had a fun time with my partner. Loved the live music. Food was great. Service even better. Will definately return and recommend.
I thank the staff for making our stay very memorable, it was great
Have wanted to come here for a long time so I'm afraid to say I was really disappointed with my visit to Maroush.
I had pre booked a table but they stuck us in a corner where we could see none of the entertainment.
The bread was lovely but served way before our starter so when the hummus arrived the bread was cold and hard. Two starters arrived but we had to wait for the third so we couldn't start together.
Main courses were small and meat overcooked. Rice was cold.
Pricey for what was offered we thought.
Only redeeming feature was the complimentary baklava and fruit although this was spoilt by the milky tasteless coffee!
A let down.
We returned after having been here 2 years go, so just wanted to re-live memories. Belly dancing was great.
