Just introduced a friend to the restaurant and she loved it. Perfect place to meet for lunch/dinner..very good food and lovely room. A favourite!!
This is one of the best, if not the best, restaurant in the Sloane Square area – you can tell immediately that the ingredients used are top-notch. The service matches the quality of the food
All in all, a class act in a class area
Lovely birthday lunch
Really good daily set lunch menu
Staff lacking any charm but otherwise very good
The waitress who served us covered me in water not once but twice- she evidently hadn't managed to execute serving wine and water by holding the bottom of the bottle. The Vitello Tonato was huge for a starter and my guest commented that it was awkward to eat and just far too much- it didn't look particularly appetising. The whole experience was just OK- not special or remarkable in anyway and the staff need to smile more and be a little less hurried in their manner.
As always a delicious lunch and very attentive service
I loved the starter ( Galician Octopus) less impressed with the main course Hake.
My husband loved the main course ( ravioli) less happy with starter (Tuna).
We both loved the deserts we had and the coffee.
Wine was also fab.
I had a leisurely lunch with my sister. The service was excellent lots of attention when needed but a good pace between courses. Delicious food for all 3 courses but the ravioli were exceptional. Not my first visit and it’s been consistently good over several years.
Appalling service. Had to order a drink 4 times before it arrived just before I had finished my meal. Very standoffish staff with no apology whatsoever
Amazing place & service. Delicious meals.
We sat outside, great setting and food too.
Last dinner in London! Was the best way to say goodbye !
Lunch with my family, really lovely x
Lovely place for a quiet lunch or meeting. The antipasti platter was wonderful
Too expensive for what it offers. Hosts were unkind
Dry tasteless pasta. Average service
Love Manicomio food wine and service all excellent specials too
Love the cafe too
First time at this restaurant! As we knew the weather forecast was for sunshine we were able to book an outside table which was perfect! We went for A la Carte only because I thought the set menu choice was rather limited? This is not a cheap restaurant but the standard was very good! Food was excellent- waiters could have been a bit more cheerful ?
As good as ever. I had a fabulous rib-eye, cooked to perfection!
I like it here because it’s not noisy in the restaurant area.
The food was incredible and the service was excellent! I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Great to be back and the specials were memorable-truffled tagliolini
Overall good food (though the vegan stuff was a bit boring-though of course vegan stuff usually is) plus excellent service in a great location with a welcoming friendly vibe.
Service is terrible . Food is average . Food was cold by the time waiters brought in to the table . Squid was over cooked .
We really enjoyed the delicious set lunch - lovely choices, well cooked, presented and served in the very attractive outdoor area.
Great people and amazing location. The outside seating is a must-do in the warm season!
Every time we eat at Manicomio it gets better and better. The food is of the highest quality, simply and stylishly presented in a no nonsense way. The outside eating area has to be one of the best al fresco spaces in London and the inside looks fresh and modern after its upgrade. The service is excellent and attentive without being overpowering. I recommend it highly for an informal supper out or meal for many for an occasion. The prosecco is delicious too!
Disappointed that my set menu didn’t have the prawn starter so I had to settle for the (cheaper) melon.
Other than that a great restaurant.
The restrooms are a disgrace
Delicious and delightful
Had the set menu. We initially thought the price was OK, but upon receiving the food we were really disappointed. The quality was good, but the portions were truly tiny.
Amazing experience! Staff were amazing! Incredible food! Best pasta I have had in forever. We will be back.
Made a birthday message on the desert without even needing to ask. Was wonderful!
Also best tiramisu in London
First seating time for eating inside the restaurant on this Saturday was 6.00pm. As we were the first eating inside (the large terrace outside was quite busy) the restaurant was empty so the service unsurprisingly was good but the ambiance was a little subdued. We both started with the octopus salad which was very palatable followed by a rabbit and lobster linguine. The rabbit pasta dish was very good however the lobster dish was a little disappointing, no real depth of flavour although it had quite a generous serving of lobster.
We were told 3 times that we had to leave by 2pm and yet the food was slow coming out. We were not lingering. Such backward customer service. We only had main, dessert and coffees. Sadly not up to scratch. Food delicious as always.
I’ve eaten here for lunch and dinner recently - both times it was a warm day and so sat outside. It’s a lovely space and a rare treat to be able to sit outside when not on a main road. However, I find the set up a bit odd - 90% of the very large outside space is for smokers, with a small area for non-smokers behind a glass wall. We were crammed up against the wall by the till because we had specifically asked for non smoking. It should be more balanced so everyone can enjoy the space - the best tables are definitely in the smoking area.
The food was very good both times, but the service is patchy - some charming and attentive staff and some much less so. I have allergies and the kitchen were excellent at dealing with this - no trouble at all - but one waitress who served the food was so dismissive, that we had to call someone else over to check with the kitchen. The kitchen had created the food beautifully free of gluten, but it was a bit of a drama to get the reassurance we needed.
If it wasn’t for the penned in non-smoking area and the patchy service, this would have got full marks for food.
Worst combination of over priced with secret cover charges etc and then the worst service - we saw two other table staff openly fight with waiters, we had to ask for everything from menus to wine - and even after asking for our wine it took two more requests to get it. The food was mediocre and was not worth the inflated prices. For example a cup of fresh peppermint tea was £4 - for some hot water and mint! You’re paying for the cafe culture and the sunshine - have a drink but go elsewhere for food
Friendly and helpful service. Excellent food and a good selection of wine.
Service was amazing by some servers and really below par from others - being told we must leave our table by 8.15 even though we had booked but in contrast to another server really taking note of everything we needed. Went for the set menu where the servings were generous and food was good, not amazing
Good food, great outside table. Service a little hit and miss as they seemed very busy, albeit individual staff members were great.
