Macchialina Taverna Rustica
Delicious food, great wine list. Had reservations but still had to wait a good 25 minutes.
Enjoyable, but don't know if I would go back
Place was a great find. Food was delicious and a place we would surely come back to on our next trip into Miami
Favorite italian dinner in Miami (Perricone's now closed 1b).
Outstanding local italian ...Amy the hostess) front of house person accommodated us even though I messed up the open table reservation . Been talking about our dinner for the last few days . An unpretentious gem in South Beach thats not to be missed!
We tried 2 new appetizers on the menu, tuna tartare and the polenta ..OUTSTANDING! We had pasta as our mains...I loved the pasta with clams husband had the pasta with the meat sauce/meatballs(he said amazing) . I normally salt my food but not here ! The flavors were so complex, so delicious! Aside from the fabulous food
The bartender suggested a wonderful bottle of wine and our kind beautiful server was so hospitable. Last but certainly not least our hostess provided an amazing table..the very best!
We can’t wait to return ..(and we have been there often)it’s a special dining experience with such a Kind knowledgeable staff. Thank you for taking such great care of us!
Awesome food! Awesome service!
Limited menu. Food okay. Burrata only had one piece of bread sliced in half and toasted. They added sprouts to the burrata which kinda got me angry cuz we don’t eat them. It was an odd addition. Overall, it was an average meal.
First time there and it was worth walking 1.3 miles to get there. I had the lasagna which has short rib in it, and loved it. Wife had bolognese
And thought it terrific.will visit again when here on vacation.
Birthday dinner while visiting Miami
Food was amazing! We did the chefs tasting menu!
Restaurant seemed to overbook reservations, leaving a crowd of people waiting for a table and not much room to stand. Food was excellent as was the service. But expecting patrons with reservations to wait for a table more than 10 mins is not ok
Fantastic food and service from Cooper the bartender. Will go back on my next visit to Miami. Went for the 5 course tasting and was not let down.
Waitress was extremely pushy trying to upsell the menu - felt like a used car lot not a restaurant.
Food was fantastic. Service was perfect. We love this place.
Good food. Small portions. Left, hungry. Ate
Again, an hour, later. Next time we will probably order more food per person. At that point it gets kind of expensive, but the food is very good.
Couldn’t have been happier
The place was packed. The food was tasty but not a wow. They don't advertise themselves as a Tapas place but the food portion is clearly that size while the price isn't. Both my date and I were hungry after eating an appetizer and an entree. They even charge you for bread.
Deeply disappointing experience. Small portions of uninspired pasta that is overpriced (25-28$$). Limited menu. We had to ask twice before tasting menu was explained to us. Waitress didn’t let us know there were specials. We only found out by overhearing list of specials from neighboring table after we ordered. Ordered bread -extra cost- never came until we asked. No butter, no olive oil, tasteless. Our Entree were delivered 20 mins apart. Very strange service. Will not return.
Very good food and service!
The noise level wasn't bad, we sat outside. We absolutely LOVED the food and our server was amazing as well!
Food is always amazing! Great ambiance. Definitely recommend a reservation!
Great place, excellent food and service. Recommend you get there early, very busy after 7PM
Best Italian in Florida. A locals only secret spot.
Macchialina has been one of my favorite restaurants (and probably favorite italian restaurant) whenever I visit Miami. The pastas are homemade and superb. The service (Kat is our regular server) is greta and so friendly, and Amy at reception always makes us feel special despite only able to visit a couple of times per year when we are in town.
You must try macchialina!
Server rushed and rude. Pastas all much too rich. Disappointed overall. Wines too expensive.
We went for pasta Thursdays. Started with grilled bread and the antipasto which was delicious. Ordered spaghetti pomodoro, cacio e pepe, short rib lasagna, pappardelle with mushrooms, and pasta with frutti di mare. Hands down best plate was spaghetti pomodoro. It was perfection. Second best was pasta with frutti di mare, then the cacio e pepe. Pappardelle and lasagna were both good but the lasagna sheets were overcooked and mushy. For dessert we had tiramisu, bread pudding, and zeppole. The tiramisu was not traditional but very delicious. The bread pudding was ok but the cream was amazing. The zeppole were absolutely the best I ever had. It was a great experience and the customer service was a pleasant surprise.
$10 pasta on Thursdays is a most go. The pasta is great and the size too.
Food was good but not exceptional. Portions are small and overpriced. Desert was delicious!
A great Miami beach gem. We had a reservation on a busy Saturday night last weekend. The hostess-Christine-helped us with our table request immmediately. Our server-Gabriella-was extremely personable and helpful. She guided us through the dinner and made great suggestions for both food & wine. All of the pasta dishes were outstanding and the finsihing dish-the branzino was fabulous. The dessert course finished the great night. I would highly recommend Macchialina and suggest reservations. The dress of the customers ranged from casual to nice casual. The restaurant is very small with cramped tables New York City style and very noisy.
Food was incredible! One of the best meals I’ve had! Music didn’t match what I expected. Music wasn’t bad, just not Italian. I would definitely go back!
Everything was terrific. The restaurant was recommended by 2 friends and they were spot on. Great place !
A true gem!
Loved the food, exceptional service, great atmosphere!
This is one of my favorites when I go to Miami. My wife and I have enjoyed it every time we have been there (about 4 times). This time I felt the food wasn’t as good as the last few times. Could’ve been and really hope it was an off day.
Wait staff excellent and very knowledgeable about the menu on offer and wine choices. Great venue for genuine Italian cuisine, will definitely revisit next time we are in Miami
Gabby was amazing as usual. Food was great.
Had the Sunday “red sauce” dinner!
Ben our server was amazing!!!!!
We dined here on a very busy Sunday night at 7:00 p.m. We chose the outdoor streetside tables because it was a bit tight and quite noisy inside the restaurant. But that said, we did this because the option was there, and would have been glad to remain inside also. We chose the Chef's Tasting Menu and were treated to a fantastic five course experience. Food is wonderful, creative, and delicious. I highly recommend this menu item and Gabriella as a server! Enjoy!
The best Sunday Dinner ever.
Not acceptable. I can’t remember if I ever had such horrible service. We were there for 2 hours and kept waiting for our food to come out. The manager apologized for their shortcomings but didn’t do anything about it. We wait 30 more minutes and finally left without eating.
