Macchialina Taverna Rustica
Came to have dinner on a. Friday night. Showed up at 8pm for 815 reservation. We had 2of three people there and there was 4 open tables. They have a rule not to seat incomplete tables. Our last person arrive and we were sat out side at the last table on the side walk. No above light very dark table. It took time to get a drink at least 15min to take just that order. Then 10 more to get the drink .The busser was more attentive then our server. I have been to macchialina a few times and the food always was outstanding. This night it was just ok. Nothing to wow. This was the first time that I have been here and wasn’t please, both other times I was invited to go and was amazed. Maybe it was an off night but was still a good meal.
Ok I don’t know who gave this place a 4 or 5 star but is is a DUMP. outside not maintained. Inside dark. Dreary, looks dirty and dumpy!!!! Wine list is awful. Food totally mediocre. This is a tourist trap. And outrageously expensive. It is American Italian food. I am Italian from Italy. I know good food. If you want to spend a lot of money on a dump in ugly location with mediocre food then go to it.
Delicious food and very good service!!🔝🔝🌟🌟
Delicious! Highly recommend the lasagna but everything we tried was amazing
Always excellent! The freshest pasta in Miami! Great flavors. Fun restaurant!
Love this place! From the food-to the wine- to the service. Always one of our favorite places to eat!
Cozy but tables are too close and had a loud party next to us. Waitress Ben was phenomenal. Definitely recommended!!!!
50 minute wait from a 9:00pm reservation we made. Took our order at 10:00pm didn’t get the salad until 30 minutes after. Very loud and small place, couldn’t hear the person I was with that was right next to. They have a parking lot right next to them that nobody could use! It was hard to find parking but we still made it in time. For them not to respect a reservation when they require a credit card be placed is baffling. Wouldn’t go back, wouldn’t recommend.
Unbelievable food, wonderful atmosphere, fantastic tasting menu with wine pairings. 100% recommended. Loved it.
Food was just ok. Overpriced and salty. So loud that it was hard to talk. Pasta dishes very expensive and small portions for a cheap commodity
My favorite place to eat in Miami and my go-to recommendation for out of town visitors. I rarely even order an entree as I get too excited about the pastas and appetizers. Sounds crazy but the Pomodoro is a must have (sounds 'basic' but is absolute perfection here), the polenta and stuffed artichokes are incredible, their salads are great, the beet mezzaluna is savory and sweet... you cannot go wrong with anything here. And the service is outstanding. Nice people, helpful and phenomenal food.
The vibe of the place was awesome. The place is cozy. Service was pleasant. Food was delicious. Music was loud enough to hear it and have a conversation. Love the place.
Delicious pasta, outstanding service and wonderful wine selection
Best pasta in Miami
I would only recommend with reservations on the following: Go ONLY on a quieter night of the week (not Thursday) as this was Pasta night for $10.00. We did not know this of course before making our reservations two months prior and only discovered it upon arrival. I would only recommend going here if you are seated at a table in the left side of the dining room, even if you have to wait longer. When we were greeted by the hostess and despite having a reservation, unbelievably the first words out of her mouth were “I will need the table within one hour and 10 minutes.” We were told afterwards that she was an owner. This is a very small restaurant and frankly it is too busy to keep up with the amount of clientele. They are extremely rushed, terse, almost frantic in their service. Pay your bill and that’s all they care about besides making fabulous pasta. We were seated at a picnic-style table to the right of the entryway but unfortunately this quickly became a holding area for other guests who were waiting for tables. To our dismay they kept bumping our table and stood right next to us with their backsides a foot or more away from our faces which was terribly uncomfortable, especially as most of these same people rear ending our table would unapologetically turn around and look at the dishes that we were eating. We had no recourse than to grin and bear it as there simply is no solution to the overwhelming number of people waiting inside short of telling everybody that they have to wait outside, but there too is another problem because the sidewalk is filled with outdoor seating....nor could we move to another table. We consumed our wonderful pasta dishes as fast as we could to get the hell out of there. The noise level is overwhelming to the point of being chaotic, and this is from New Yorkers.
drinks and food were on point. need to go back to try the half chicken
This place is incredible - peace peace
Martina is the best waitress
Bday - great food and service. Great atmosphere.
My favorite restaurant anywhere. Impeccable service, unforgettable food and an incredible wine program. From appetizer to dessert to coffee and amaro - nothing is overlooked.
Amazing as always!!! Thanks to Chef Mike and his awesome team!!
We make a point of visiting at least once a very visit to Miami.
Always the best flavors, you can taste the amazing quality. Let’s talk service, hands down the most attentive restaurant! The hostess Elidja is sweet and helpful. The waitress Kat is super attentive, knows exactly what to suggest according to your likes.
We were celebrating my husbands birthday and this place was AMAZING! The food, the service, the wine 🙌🏻 I can’t wait to go back again!
Loved it. Fantastic pastas and great service
Didn’t want to eat outside had to wait, no where to really stand due to the size of the restaurant. Food was delicious.
The best Italian meal I’ve ever had, and I’m a foodie! The house-infused grappa and specialty cocktails were scrumptious as well.
Unbelievable pasta. Thursday is 10$ pasta night, not to be missed. What a hidden gem away from the SoBe chaos. Will be back
It was my first time there and I am not someone who enjoys Italian food very much, but the food there was really good. I was pleasantly surprised.
Would rate it a 5 but portions are laughably small
Consistently good menu. Super tasty well prepared dishes. Never disappoints. My fav is lasagna, but to get the full experience, splurge for the tasting menu. They have a good wine list to compliment.
The food was great, the service knowledgeable, timely without interference. Highly recommend Macchialina as a go to/must eat location on Miami Beach. Daniel knows his stuff!
A lot of Miami restaurants are all about show and have no personality. This restaurant is not like that at all. The food is fantastic, and the service was SUPERB! Our server, Gabriela, rocked our socks with her personalized service and her amazing personality. I literally wanted to hang out with her while eating the yummy lasagna and burrata of the resto. SUCH A FIND. Must go back!
The food was delicious but the crowded, extremely loud dining room made it hard at times to enjoy it. We finally asked to be moved outside as you couldnt even have a conversation. However the waitress was super nice about it .
Amazing staff and amazing environment. If you haven’t been here before do yourself a favor and try the 5 course tasting menu.
Incredible food from start to finish!!! Every dish superb! A very special shout out to our waitress, Gabriella...she was amazing! Charming, incredibly knowledgeable and delightful! It was a perfect evening!
My friends and I really enjoyed the cozy ambiance and decor of this place! It was a great environment to relax and catch up over wine and pasta. The only thing is that I felt portions were too small. Yet, the tiramisu was amazing!
Just go. Best Italian in Miami. Go.
Great food and atmosphere. Staff was excellent.
