Lucille at Drury Lane
Very nice, clean restaurant. Service seemed slightly slower than expected. Food was very good!
Every thing was great. 2 thumbs up 👍🏾 👍🏾, thanks
Great food with lots of variety. Waitress was friendly, quickly removed our dirty plates, and kept our champagne glasses full. The section where we were seated was nice and quiet. The restaurant was very nice and clean. We didn’t take our kids because we weren’t sure they would find enough foods to eat, but after seeing the selections, we know they would have enjoyed it. We had a great time at the Valentine’s brunch. We definitely plan on going again and taking our kids.
I have recommended this brunch to many because I believe it is worth it. The food selection is phenomenal. Just make sure you pace yourself because you will want one of each.
We enjoyed our experience very much. We're already planning our next high tea experience at Drury Lane.
We went to the Galentine's Tea. It would have been great if the sandwiches were not completely
dried out and the bread had started curling. The sweets were fine. The scones were dry and crunchy. The champagne was good just a bit sweet for my taste.
Our server was wonderful.
Our wait time between courses took too long, we Couldn’t finish our main course or dessert at our table and had to get doggie bags.
Staff kept telling us they would hold the show because so many people were running late. This was a bold face lie, the show started at 8 sharp and we missed the beginning number.
I will not dine at Lucille again.
Though my wife and I and our friends were aware of the limited Valentines Day selections and the larger price we decided to try it anyway, given the convenience to the Drury Lane theater. However, the experience disappointed in several respects. Most noticeably the service was so slow as to delay in the start musical. We were told the seafood tower appetizer contained raw oysters, which left only the charcuterie selection containing too much cheese and sausage, with a too-spicy relish. The salad was satisfactory, though my wife's dressing was not served on the side as requested. Both the barramundi and chateaubriand entrees were tasty, though our order was mistaken by either the server or the cooks and my wife had to wait an extra ten minutes for her meal, as they brought her the beef rather than the fish she ordered. In consequence our dining was a bit rushed, followed by a rather long wait for the check. Overall not well executed, but not our usual experience at Lucille and for that reason we would still recommend the restaurant to those attending the theater. We hope and expect our next experience will be a better one.
Ashley was our server for valentine's day. She was such a sweet and attentive server. All the waitstaff and Manager Zach were all smiles and very accommodating. Never a disappointment!
Unfortunately we would not recommend or return to Lucille. Dinner was a set menu for Valentine's day and the value did not match the price - $65 per person. Expect 'banquet' style cuisine. Food items arrived late and were either lukewarm or over salted. The poor servers were understaffed and struggled to close tables out in time in order to make the show. Our server was very sweet and cannot be faulted for management's oversight.
Went before a show. The food and service were terrible. Way over priced salmon that was bland and tasteless. Very few people in the restaurant but some how everyone that came after us got their food way before we did. I would never recommend this restaurant and won’t be back.
We made lunch reservations here because we were attending the show and were very disappointed. Three out of the four entrees came to our table severely undercooked. The roasted chicken was raw and bloody at the leg joint on one order and the breast was red and bloody in the middle. My wife’s shrimp
In the pasta was raw as well. We sent these three entrees back and had to hurry through our meal when we finally got our food in order to make the show. No apology or visit from a manager offering a way to make up for the poor kitchen service. The restaurant wasn’t even busy yesterday. VERY disappointing!
After years of being a season ticket holder, I would never consider eating here again. An explanation from the restaurant manager would have been nice.
Very disappointing experience at Lucille. I was there with a group of 7 prior to a theatre performance.
Ordered a savignon blanc- sorry, out of this. How about a chenin blanc ?- out of this. O.k. let's try a beer- nope out of that one, How about this alternative- so sorry, out of that too. O.k. great let's order food- Lobster Bisque - out of this, the Halibut - nope out of that too. How can a restaurant be "out of" so many items? The food we did have was fine and the server did the best he could - although it seems to me that if you hope to keep business you might have a manager come to the table to make this type of situation better. Needless to say, with so many other options close by in Oakbrook, it's unlikely we will choose this restaurant again when we attend our next play at Drury Lane.
Dinner before play. Lovely space with excellent service- sensitive to show times
They have a nice brunch, and food is good and plentifull. The selection is good, but not as it was a couple of years ago when the buffet was bigger.
Food well prepared, but could use more gluten free item. Cost is high and might be over priced for the buffet
Love the variety of food and the quality is always amazing!
It was a family get together before a play downtown. Food and service was great but it is getting a little pricey so our visits have go down in numbers
Small menu, but understandable given it's so closely aligned with the theater (as opposed to being a standalone restaurant). Excellent service (they'll even hold your leftovers 'til after the show...just don't forget to pick them up like I did!), and the steak was melt-in-your-mouth amazing. Great experience all around.
Disappointed. A very limited menu almost everything a la carte. My husband’s prime rib did not even include mashed potatoes. My halibut with potatoes & asparagus was but one of the few entrees which was a full dinner. The alcoholic beverages were very overpriced. I thought patrons would be more dressed but most looked like they just stopped for quick dinner. The servers seldom smiled. Not at all what I expected. We attended the play but will not dine there again.
Fabulous food, service and ambiance. The fresh bread is amazing.
We were put in the back room because of an event for the cast, crew and their families. I was even called to confirm reservation and not told. Food not as indicated on menus, Vegan Wellington never states it has a beyond burger in the middle. I had the Rigatoni Bolognese, I’v had better pasta at Olive Garden and Sabarros.
This is the first review I have ever written on Open Table, good or bad.
Very beautiful ambience and friendly service. It was my mom’s 93rd birthday and they treated us to a champagne toast. That was a nice surprise. We wanted to purchase a slice of chocolate cake but unfortunately they ran out.
The location is convenient if you are going the theater, but it is not a good value. Pricey for mediocre food. Waitress got my order wrong twice.
We went after the play. Not our first time here. Always beautiful. Good service and excellent food. Would like to see a larger selection of entree on the menu though.
The ambiance was very nice. Spacing between tables was good. We had reservations on a Sunday, 3Feb2020, just after they opened for dinner but the waitress was not as good as she could have been. She forgot to give the horseradish sauce for the gentleman having the prime rib, we had to ask the busboy to bring it. The refill on coke was not brought out until we asked a second time.
The Cabernet reduction sauce was salty but the steaks were done to our liking.
We've eaten at Lucille's several times and found this dining experience to be underwhelming. As members of the theater we were supposed to get 20% off our meal and only received 10%. We didn't notice the discrepancy until we got home.
All and all, we love the restaurant and would go there again.
It was my first time going to the Lucille!! It is amazing the cooks, waitress and staff was amazing!! The mimosas are amazing and food was so good!! Not like an ordinary buffet they have all types of food! I went during Súper bowl Sunday and they had a whole BBQ bar!! I would recommend it it’s delicious and worth the price!! I will surely be coming back. Thank you
Excellent food, great atmosphere, clean and friendly and helpful staff. Overall great dining experience
Large selection from breakfast to lunch to dinner foods. Some foods were dry however, but overall there was plenty of other food to choose from. Excellent service!
Took grandkids to see Mary Poppins
We eat at Lucille for convenience when seeing a show. It's definitely not an inexpensive meal & everything is ala carte. We liked it better when their menu was more affordable.
Our first visit to Lucille for Sunday brunch. It was very nice, but for me to eat one plate of food and an ice cream sundae . . . Overpriced. It will be at the insistence of others that will bring me back.
Best brunch around.
My mom’s 65th birthday
Worst service ever! Our waitress was the rudest person I’ve ever met. We were not told of the option of a Prix fixe menu. Pork belly appetizer was over cooked - like jerky. Rest of the food was lukewarm and mediocre - certainly not worth the money. We will not be eating there again for dinner. They do have an incredible brunch that is truly best in Chicago. We will only stick to that instead of dinner.
Dinner was delicious!!! We went to Lucille’s before going to the theater. It was wonderful. My granddaughter ordered off the Children’s Menu and had so many choices!!she loved the experience and the wait staff made her feel so special. Will definitely be back.
Convenient place to eat before the show. Chicken was dry. Prices did not match the quality of food or ambience. Service was wonderful though.
I would recommend the Lucille. All of our dishes were good. everything was cooked as requested and good cocktails. I wasn't blown away with any flavors but I was definitely not disappointed. I do enjoy more exotic flavors and look for standout ingredients and combinations. We ordered a shrimp cocktail, filet mignon, and dessert. We did have a mango habanero martini, it was very good and a little different. the bread selection was very good and dessert selections were very good. Maybe other items on the menu would make me come back more... It's super convenient before a performance at the Drury Lane Theater and the service is impeccable, I would say that's enough to recommend it!
Cameron was an outstanding server. He was pleasant, knowledgeable and very accommodating with any requests that we had. He was accurate in making cocktail and dinner suggestions. We look forward to requesting his services again on our next visit in March.
The brunch buffet was very large. Seafood, prime rib, fresh donuts, berries and yogurt parfait station, pasta station, omelet station. Service was wonderful as always.
Went for Sunday Brunch every thing was amazing
