Nonna Lucia's recipe, fresh pasta layered with egg, ground veal, Mozzarella & tomato sauce
Pasta al Forno
Baked penne with smoked mozzarella in a light tomato sauce
Veal layered with Prosciutto, Mozzarella & mushrooms sautéed in a light white sauce
Outstanding entrees. We sat on the 2nd floor. It was loud. The appetizer was a little cold. Service was great. Maria our server was attentive. Recommend.
The patio dining was lovely! Nestled in a more quiet part of Hanover street.
Very good food! Wish they did last take-outy condiments/breads
We had a great time on the St Stephen's Church Patio of Lucia with phenomenal food. The shrimp pasta and ravioli dishes we had were terrific.
Been going here for 40 years. Our favorite..
Food was delicious, and not overly heavy like most restaurants. The staff was attentive and friendly... We also love that it is set further down Hanover street, if you are looking for somewhere with outdoor seating that is not constantly bombarded with foot traffic, this location is great.
Great restaurant, delicious food, and nice staff. No complaints.
The food was absolutely delicious and reasonable. Tje service was incredible. The staff were very friendly. The owner came by several times to make sure that everything was to our satisfaction. I would definitely recommend the restaurant.
Although we made a reservation, we were put outside and on the back curb on a slanted small round table. I asked if our table could be moved to a better location. We placed our order and within a matter of 5 minutes our food was brought out and it was room temperature. The food was not hot at all. The gnocchi was chewy. My husbands chicken parmesan was cold except for the melted cheese on top. Clearly due to the overflow tables outside, the kitchen is just pushing out food. I was extremely disappointed in the quality of the food. I would not recommend eating here because they are just precooking these meals and sending it out to flip tables.
My husband and I initially selected Lucia Ristorante to have an outdoor lunch because of its new courtyard seating, made available by the next door church. Not only was the outdoor setting perfect, the food was delicious and the service excellent.
I have celiac and our server was excellent about making sure my food was not cross contaminated. We did have to wait 30 minutes after our reservation time to sit which wasn’t ideal, yet the service was quick and efficient and food was fantastic.
Food was great! Our waitress, Maria, was very knowledgeable and patient with us! Will be back soon!
No cold beer available!!! Overpriced food for very average pasta. Not coming back nor recommending this place to anyone. The bread was cold and very poor presentation. Obly good thing about this place was the patio.
Wonderful food, excellent service, outdoor dining, great atmosphere - we look forward to returning soon!
Outside area is in its own little sweet fenced in area, solid set up. Service was great, food was tasty, price was reasonable.
Celebrated 31sr wedding anniversary. Very enjoyable. I’m handicapped and I appreciated the restroom accommodations!
Fantastic food and service. The stuffed veal chop is incredible. Super fresh seafood. Arguably the best Italian restaurant in the North End.
We heard about Ristorante Lucia from a local and have not been anywhere else since! The service is always excellent (although this time we had a new young woman who was not very experienced, but so nice!) and the food as wonderful as always. I had the Lobster Ravioli, topped with Lobster and shrimp. It was out of this world! Thank you! We will of course be back!
Very disappointing. The veal was equivalent to eating a piece of tire from a car outside. Don’t eat here
When we’re in Boston’s North End, this is where we love to go. Amazing food and friendly service.
Had a fabulous dinner out. Lucia's never disappoints. Will be back!
The music was so loud that we couldn’t have a conversation at our table without yelling. We asked for it to be turned down, and it was, but only for about 5 minutes then got too loud again.
Ate outside on a beautiful spring day. Tables were well spaced and service was wonderful. Abruzzi pasta specialties were excellent, as was the bread. Will definitely return.
Service was great! Food was not north end quality more like Olive Garden. Music playing was loud and a little too 1990.
Bellissima!! Un buon gusto d’Abruzzo!
Had a lovely Easter lunch with my father and roommate. Service was super friendly, food was spectacular, and the atmosphere was *almost* like being back in Italy. Highly recommend.
Went for my daughter’s 15th bday. We had a reservation and got seated right away. They sat us in the basement. Didnt seem to have same vibe as main floor. Food was ok. Would have thought it would be better. Portions werent huge. Price was ok. Service was awesome. Waiter heard it was my daughter’s bday and he brought over a cannoli with a candle snd the room sang happy bday. Overall good experience bc of the special treatment my daughter git. But would have been happier with better food, bigger portions, and a little better ambiance in the basement.
The food was delicious!! Loved how nice the staff were.
It was pretty empty - all the staff kept their masks on, were friendly, and the food was excellent!
After reading reviews my boyfriend and I decided to try out Lucia while visiting Boston. The server greeted us right away and helped me pick out a wine that I'd like. I wanted the Moscato, but it could only be ordered in bottles so she suggested a Riesling that tasted great. My boyfriend got the Guazzetto di Mare and he really enjoyed it. It was a good portion for him and he finished it all. I decided on the Chicken Parm which came with penne. To be honest I wanted to love it, but I didn't. The chicken seemed rubbery to me and not as flavorful as I was hoping. The penne pasta that came on the side was very good though. Overall, our server was really attentive and gave us great suggestions. My boyfriend liked his meal a lot so I guess I just maybe picked the wrong entree that night. Will I return when there's SO many other Italian restaurants in the area? Probably not, I'd want to try to find somewhere that would WOW me.
Food was grwat
Great food. Great service. We will be back
Great Service & Great Food! Simply a terrific old school North End Restaurant. We will be back.
This was our second time there and it didn’t disappoint.
Awesome food and service!
Very good service, the meal was also very good. Will defined return.
lovely venue with a wonderful and varied menu, planning to return soon!
We made a last minute reservation on Saturday for 7:30, got seated right away. Had a very nice young man; he spaced out our courses just right. We hadn't been to Lucia's in quite a while (even before COVID) and I forgot how wonderful the food is. We had chicken focaccia and veal braciolletini, excellent!
Nice time, food was excellent tried two entrees that were cooked perfectly enough for leftovers.Drinks just ok.
