Sustainability is a core focus of many restaurants across the country, and some of the most committed are recognized as ocean-friendly by the Surfrider Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to the protection of the world's ocean, waves, and beaches. Those restaurants must meet strict criteria, ranging from using proper recycling methods to eliminating plastic bags, straws, and utensils. Devin was a great waiter! Explained everything, as it was our first time, very knowledgeable on the menu and how we should go about it as we had a larger group. Getting the full experience was what we wanted and we were able to do that. Everything was fresh and delicious. We got a cheese he recommended and it was a bit strong for us, had wine in it, so he took it back and gave us a new one. Overall a wonderful experience that I will continue to recommend.

Love going here for the great drinks especially great happy hour pricing. Need to up their game on on the small pates for HH. HEALTHIER choices, better balance if choices like they used to. Love the heated patio lounge seating. Wish the inside was more comfy and intimate. It’s more cafeteria feeling. Needs booth seating And more. It’s usually too cold inside. Dinner menu food is good. Edmon is great making his drinks. But they do need to serve drinks with napkins.

Our waitress, Maria, was the best part about this weekday dinner. Skip the seafood tower, go to Found Oyster instead. The steak was served with a microwaved potatoes with slices in it, no seasoning no butter and dry, and four asparagus prepared incorrectly with the fiberous stalk still present with again no seasoning or salt or butter. One of the things I did like is that it was quiet, but the music they were playing did not fit the ambiance at all. Seems like management may be going down hill or maybe they just don’t put much effort in on weeknights. Maria was phenomenal and gave us the VIP treatment for sure, with honest recommendations and impeccable service.

We had breakfast twice and dinner once at Hudson and Nash restaurant on the ground floor of the Hilton San Diego Bayfront hotel. Both menus have a nice selection, however, breakfast service included an automatic gratuity of 20%. Both breakfast and dinner included a 4% surcharge. If it were not for the convenience of eating breakfast in the hotel on two chilly mornings, we would have chosen a different breakfast restaurant. There are several unique and delicious options in the Gaslamp Quarter across the street from the hotel. Our dinner experience was good with well prepared food and attentive service. The desserts were also delicious, although a bit overpriced for the size of the portion.

Delicious food and excellent service. I would strongly recommend this delightful restaurant. I had the macadamia nut crusted halibut and it was cooked to perfection. We enjoyed eating in the patio. The inside is small and a bit loud.

10 out of 10 experience at Merriman’s. We require gluten-free options (Celiac) and Merriman’s delivered! The Poke appetizer was amended to be GF. The sweet potato chips are done in a non-dedicated fryer so not GF (Celiac-support team enjoyed these!). The Macadamia nut crust for the Ahi Ahi was specially prepared to be GF. Our server Justine was knowledgeable and a delight. The only GF dessert available at our visit was Sorbet, but this did not detract from a fabulous meal in a wonderful atmosphere in a magical place. We immediately made another reservation!

My cousins cruised here from CA, so I booked us a table at one of my very favorite restaurants at The Kahala Hotel’s Plumeria House ocean side restaurant. We all enjoyed the beautiful grounds, and of course, our meal was fabulous, as always. My guests also were able to see the Kahala Hotel dolphins getting ready for their lunch from their trainers.

The lobster tails were cold OK so be it ... nice to have an option to have them warm they are more flavor ful. Stone Crabs a bit "duh" taste. However the rest especially the oysters, beluga(black) caviar to die for. The Sushi bar was popular and is basic. Compared to all other stations I think you can do a bit better just saying because this is a TOP SPOT in the nation by quality ambiance and value. Overall ... great ... !!!!

I brought my brother and his best friend here for a little holiday luncheon and gift exchange. I come to The Burnham frequently for lunch and I have been to dinner there several times. It was very quiet this afternoon and not a lot of folks in the restaurant. It was quiet, the holiday ambiance and decorations were great. The food was outstanding as usual. My brother had a caesar salad and the fried chicken sandwich, his friend had the pot roast sandwich with French fries and I had a Caesar salad and a pepperoni pizza. Again, the food was outstanding, but I think $23 for the pizza is just a little steep, especially for it being a thinner crust pizza. Don’t get me wrong - it was delicious — just slightly overpriced. I do realize that restaurants in hotels like the Hilton do have higher prices; although I am willing to pay for good food. Our server was outstanding (I am sorry, I can’t remember his name, but he was incredibly helpful and provided outstanding service). All in all - it was an A+ experience.

Group of 8 friends were able to get together and have a nice casual evening out. The pizza and the salads were good and atmosphere was casual and comfortable.

Family Dinner for 7 including 3 kids. We enjoyed our experience. The food and beverages were delicious. The kids enjoyed the game room. We will return.

I love Merriman’s. If I had a last meal on Earth, it would the chicken from Merriman’s. Their service is always on point, great drinks, and everything they cook tastes like it was made just for you. I take everyone to Merriman’s when they visit from Hawaii or the Mainland.
