Chaplin's Executive Chef and Partner, Myo Htun, is originally from Burma, but was cooking ramen in Japan at a young age. Myo received a blessing from his mentor in Japan after nearly 30 years of cooking in Japan, to come to America and continue to showcase his authentic Ramen and traditional Japanese cuisine. Chaplin's Restaurant demonstrates the aesthetic of a bustling ramen house in Japan in the 1930's silent film era. There is also a large outdoor dining area that is dog friendly. Chaplin's is located in the heart of the Historic Shaw neighborhood. And it is open until last call 7 days a week. Chaplin's received a Plate certification in the Michelin Guide in 2020. Our server, Paulina was awesome. She was very knowledgeable about the drinks and food options which helped my party (some who had never been). The food and drinks were good as well. The only think I didn’t like was that the staff had to keep coming in out of this door where were seated.

We flew into Miami for one night and wanted Cuban cuisine- and not touristy. The oxtail dish was amazing -the pork dish - delish - all of the sides were so tasty (mashed potato, rice and beans, cassava, maduras). We even had dessert - the flan was out of this world - we will be back!

The chicken parm was great but the penne had no flavor whatsoever. The bruschetta was also pretty bland and not that great. The bread was harder than it should be. However, the house bread was delicious!!! The service was also excellent.

As usual Sofia continues to impress all of us ! It can not be short of compliments or description ! Today , had different items from other times & must say they were all to the standard of quality & taste ! The Fiori di Zucca ( Zucchini Flowers) were everyone’s favorite too , a must to have since not too many restaurants offer such a unique & particular exclusivity, “filled with ricotta cheese “ & slightly flavor of honey , fried crispy & light batter ! The same with the seafood Fritto misto exactly how it is done in italy , not to mention each of the pasta recipes that we tried ! The Nero di Seppia ( squid ink) delicious & my favorite since zi love seafood ! Even the selection of wines was a delight , but most of it the fact that we tried “the most delicious Vermentino Wine from North of the island of Sardegna , where the best white grapes come from ! Excellent overall ! Had a very delightful lunch with friends & helped bring my most important day to be even more special !

We hadn’t been here in about 6 or so years, but we had a really nice brunch today. Service was great, food and drinks also great. The mini cornbread and butter they start you with is delicious. I could have had just that and been happy. My cocktail “table for two” was refreshing. The duck hash and Korean chicken sandwich were both really good. Just some little things to note: The majority of the people dining were tourists. I don’t know if it was because today was a holiday or what, but I feel like it didn’t used to be like that. The fried green tomatoes (years ago, I guess) used to have crab on top rather than shrimp. The crab was better. But it was still good. The tables were a bit crowded.

Don Jorge's starters include buffalo chicken wings, chicken quesadillas, queso fundido and a seafood ceviche with fresh flounder, cilantro, red onions, celery, ginger and jalapeño peppers. For main courses, diners are encouraged to pick one of the basic recipes and then pair them with whatever protein they would like. Some of the plates include enchiladas, chimichangas, burritos, chiles rellenos and tacos al carbon and then top them with either beef, chicken, lengua, fresh marinated pork ribs, shrimp or a vegetable medley.

We chose Don Jorge's at the last minute as there were not a lot of choices on a Saturday night. The reviews looked good, so we gave it a try. We are so glad we did! If you like Tex-Mex food, this is the place to go. There was a DJ that also sang and had a surprisingly good voice. The decor is simple yet clean. And the food was great. Everything we tried was perfect including the freshly made salsa. If you are in the mood for Tex-Mex, I would highly recommend Don Jorge's!

I always enjoy myself at peace and saint but they are extremely overpriced to the point where it seems scammish. I was charged $42 for 1 drink because I asked for a double serving in my cocktail. I didn’t think it was going to be cheap but $42 for one drink is absolutely insane.

Outstanding pre-theater dinner. Everyone loved the Nusr-et Salad and the beef carpaccio appetizer prepared table side. For dinner we enjoyed the Nusr-et Special for 2 (tenderloin sliced and griddled on hot plate with melted butter). The Nusr-et special was melt in your mouth tender and absolutely delicious. The Yukon gold mashed potatoes were the perfect accompaniment. No meal is complete without the sinfully delicious authentic pistachio baklava with ice-cream. Our server(s) provided friendly and excellent service throughout our meal.

Food was good, bloody Mary’s were good, service was fantastic. It is a boozy brunch, so it’s understandable that people are getting rambunctious, but it was loud to a level that made it difficult to talk to anyone without yelling. I will definitely go back though.

Great food ! Waiter was awesome and personable, the only details to improve were the Kafta links were a little dry and the desert custard needs some work. I took my mom here for her 76th birthday. She wanted Mediterranean food and I wanted to bring her somewhere we hadn’t been, with a nicer environment than a diner or a chain. Mom ordered the chicken shawarma plate and I ordered the na’an tenderloin appetizer as my meal. We were both very happy! Industrial chic atmosphere softened by natural tree branches wrapped with fairy lights suspended from the ceiling and interspersed with small disco balls created a lovely atmosphere. The generous seating included booths, high tops, and traditional tables surrounded a large bar, and all of the seating was comfortable. The outdoor seating was all shaded by the roof over the patio, so we would have been able to enjoy our meal there as well. Service was prompt and friendly. We didn’t order cocktails, but I’ll definitely be back with my husband to try the interesting craft cocktails on the menu! My only complaint is that the music was a little loud for lunchtime but it wasn’t a big deal. I’m pleased we tried GOAT and will definitely be back!

The service was excellent. When we told our server that the coffee was very weak, he replaced it with freshly brewed coffee and was completely gracious about it. When our first course was not hot enough, he again gladly had it re-made without any grumbling. Instead, he treated us to free glasses of champagne for the inconvenience.
