About the restaurant
Mark Namdar, Olena Fedorenko and Executive Chef Jose Molina, former colleagues at the Graham Hotel in Georgetown, are now the new caretakers of New Heights — a tried and trusted name they never had an intention of changing. Mark, a native of Iran, considers Washington, DC “the land of opportunity”. He, the Ukrainian-born Olena and Jose, who’s from Bolivia, are veterans of the hospitality industry, and the trio is writing a new chapter for the restaurant, which reopened in January 2022. “We brought our tradition of hard work, desire for excellence, and most importantly - Passion.” The airy windows overlooking Washington DC’s scenic Rock Creek Park create a perfect atmosphere to enjoy the creative cuisine of New Heights. Intelligent and knowledgeable wait staff add to create a perfect dining experience.

About the restaurant
Our restaurant's atmosphere is what we would call casual elegance. On our main floor, we have a full dining room, bar, and we call this our "wine bar". The wine bar also has front porch and back patio seating as well. Our wine list has over 100 wines from various regions. We offer multiple bottled wines and a phenomenal selection by the glass as well. Our basement, or as we all know it the pub, has 12 beers on draft, an extensive liquor selection, and a very inviting and comforting atmosphere. Both floors offer the same supper menu, with the exception of the happy hour menu. That is only served in the pub Tuesday-Friday from 4-6. Our third floor is used for overflow seating and private events. Our motto is that when you're here, you're home, and we strive to meet that with every guest. Come in and enjoy a beautiful, local, farm to table meal. We'd love to have you!

The service was excellent. When we told our server that the coffee was very weak, he replaced it with freshly brewed coffee and was completely gracious about it. When our first course was not hot enough, he again gladly had it re-made without any grumbling. Instead, he treated us to free glasses of champagne for the inconvenience. Excellent food, large portions, good value.
