Can I just say Thank you to the Hakkasan team, I was very late, due to miscalculation of traffic, road works etc. Staff were still very very accommodating, they didn’t kick of a fuss they were very polite and professional they simply asked us to wait for a free table before being seated. That they serve the best steak is a given (we had the porterhouse between 2 of us) but the cocktails are interesting and tasty (full-fat old fashioned with clarified butter anyone?) and the waiting staff are all lovely and attentive (without being hovery). Oh and the sides and desserts are great too. We’ll be back again once we have digested this meal (we probably don’t need to eat for the rest of the week).

We had a celebratory meal for a small group. We were given a nice booth towards the rear of the restaurant. The restaurant was bigger than we were expecting - given the reputation i was wondering on good the food was going to be and we were not disappointed - the food was great. Oysters The rib for starters We shared these with the table just to whet the appetite and the ribs were so tender that even those who are keen on ribs were raving about them. For mains Bone in Rib to share £90 ish, 0.8kilo Ribeye 0.4 kilo Mushrooms Triple cooked chips Pigs blankets Lobster £35 ish 350 grams The chips were great, real triple cooked and did what they said on the tin. The steaks were perfectly cooked at Med-Rare - tender, tasty and melted in the mouth. The lobster was gorgeous and the garlic butter topped it off. We ended with dessert and had Sticky toffee sundae Peanut Butter Short Bread Chocolates All of them were consumed quickly and topped off a great meal. I recommend this for special occasions.

Went for lunch for a belated birthday. We had the vegetarian set menu. The staff were attentive, helpful, friendly. The food was really different, creative, delicious and hot. We had a fantastic pre theatre meal at Pinion on Saturday 30 November before going to see Alice in Wonderland at the Shakespeare North Playhouse. The food was delicious, I had the calamari and my wife had the breaded brie to start followed by the turkey breast which was like a refined fantastic Christmas dinner which we both absolutely loved. My wife really enjoyed her waffle and ice cream for dessert and I loved my mint chocolate chip sundae. Couldn't fault the food at all and such good value on the pre theatre menu where you can get 3 courses for £27! Service was fantastic and our waitress Claire was so friendly and made a special effort to accommodate our 5 year old daughter's requests which we really appreciated. Our daughter loved the pasta on the children's menu and we will definitely be back again soon. Maybe we will come for a fantastic roast next time, kids eat free on Sundays in case you didn't know?! Anyway, if you haven't been what are you waiting for? Best restaurant in Prescot and a lovely atmosphere before a show at Shakespeare North Playhouse!

Fantastic food - innovative but importantly very tastie! I’m required to write more but I think it says it all - when you go out for a special meal you want it to be a bit different but taste is the most important factor for me. Wreck ticked all the boxes.
