Excellent in every way. Our server Fred made it even more enjoyable. Hope to return soon.
Great place - go again soon. Excellent food and service as well as ambiance.
Just a special occasion.
Excellent in every way. Very anxious to return.
Thank you Craig...23rd anniversary dinner was perfect!
Used to work here in high school and still come back with my wife many years later. Love the food, the atmosphere, the wine list, and location. Service always top notch as well.
For years, Lightfoot has been a “go-to” restaurant for my friends and I. It doesn’t disappoint!
Delightful evening from start to finish and our waitress was the model of decorum and attentiveness.
Great as always - a place that keep coming back to.
Beautiful location! Excellent cuisine. Our server was evidently new and management corrected the error and the server. That's the sign of an excellent restaurant. Enjoy!
Awesome as always! Started out with crab bisque and fried green tomatoes-delicious! Then, everyone’s favorite salad and French dip. We will be back next weekend, it was so good!
Incredible meal and superb wait staff/service!!
We went for Father’s Day last night. We were promptly and warmly greeted and seated right away. The food was very good. We had the cheese sampler to start. Our son had the kids spaghetti which he loved. I had the shrimp and grits and my husband had the steak salad. Our server seemed a little disappointed that we weren’t ordering cocktails or wine but the meal was a nice one and we enjoyed it.
The waitress was awesome. She was very personable, patient and quite accommodating. Will go again.
Great food and service, really enjoyed the filet.
Our service was good yet the kitchen seemed a bit slow during our visit. Usually service is quite timely.
We've been going here several times a year since it opened and have enjoyed our meals. This last visit was a bit off with new staff and training that could have been a bit more attentive and would should have been alert when food was have left on the plate; no one came back to check on the food until it was time to clear the table.
Lovely, as always!
The salad with fried oysters was huge as well as delicious.
1 star. They did not have our reservation and told us we would have to wait. When we offered to go to the bar to the hostess she said we could be that she would not come find us (it was not crowded and the bar was ten feet away and small). We ask to speak with the manage and she brings him over and we are seated immediately. The place is maybe over half full. Our server takes forever bringing us things and is irritated the whole time. Got a water refill maybe once. Food took over an hour to come out after ordering. Got seated at 8:15 for an 8 reservations and got our soup at 9:00 and our dishes almost at 10. My duck was almost cold rare as was his filet. We decided we had spent too much time wasted here and ate without complaining and left. What a terrible experience.
Great service , good food, nice setting.
Service was incredibly slow and waiter was not attentive at all. After waiting an hour and a half for our entrees, we asked what was taking so long, he said he would talk to the manager. No apology, no manager, no comped dessert or an offer of a glass of wine - nothing.
Will not recommend nor be returning.
Lightfoot was great. OpenTable, not so great. The reservation was not received by the restaurant. They told me they were having trouble all day receiving bookings through Open Table. Fortunately the restaurant was able to seat me. Take care of your restaurant partners if you want diners to use your service.
Our mother, daughter, granddaughter dinner was a wonderful event. Highly recommended by a Purceville native who now lives in New York City, I was eager to try what really is a gem.
The chef won my granddaughter’s heart with the cotton candy twist added to the passing desserts. Our dinners were more than a scrumptious surprise! Loved and appreciated the “tag teamed” service of the wait staff.
Looking forward to my next Leesburg trip and dining at the Lightfoot again.

Great time! Excellent food, service, and value.
Love Lightfoot! They always provide an incredible experience and we appreciate the chef allowing substitutions so my kids can get their favorite Mac and cheese as a side. Food and desserts never disappoint here.
Food was good but it took almost 1 hour from the time we ordered until we received our food. While we watched new tables arrive and receive their food. Someone clearly messed up but management did not react fast enough or offer any form of regrets.
Food was good. Kitchen was unacceptably slow. More than an hour to get our entrees. Server didn’t do anything other than leave us sitting there. Unfortunate because the food was really good. Not worth waiting that long though.
Service was great, but there were obvious kitchen issues that I’ll drum up to short staffing from the holiday but no one at our table had their meal prepared correctly. Management was aware and rectified the issue by comping an entree and dessert so kudos is deserved their. I’ll attribute this to a one off bc of the holiday
Great food and atmosphere. One of our favorite places in Leesburg.
Dinner and drinks were good, but the desserts were not. The key lime pie tasted freezer burnt and the whipped cream was closer to butter (over-whipped and not sweet). We used to love lightfoot, so we were a bit disappointed after having not come in for a while.
Had a fabulous brunch with girlfriends...and our server Dominique was outstanding! Highly recommend requesting his service.
This was our wedding anniversary. We were placed at a 2 person table next to a support post in the main flow of traffic. We were also very close to a large round table with a group of loud patrons. It was difficult to carry on a conversation and we had serving staff constantly bumping my wife’s chair due to the tight squeeze. The food was good but delivery of the food was very slow. We were served after others that were seated after us. In my opinion Lightfoot has changed from a fine dining experience when it first opened to a more casual dining experience due to the lax dress code (patrons in shorts and t-shirts) but at a high price point.
I truly enjoyed this dinner with friends at Lightfoot. A friend accompanying me chose the restaurant and my meal was spectacular. One of the best shrimp and grits entrees I have ever had, and ham biscuit and crab dip appetizers.
It's been a few years since we dined at Lightfoot. The food is very good and the choices are many. Its a very good value, also. Parking can be hit and miss depending on when you go there as you have to choose between street parking or a few spaces behind the restaurant. It was an excellent experience.
Great choice for intimate dining with friends. A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Service was very good, as were the apps, main course, and desserts. Highly recommended.
An enjoyable and relaxed dining experience, wait staffs timing was perfect, never rushing us through our meal.
Salmon salad was perfectly cooked on a bed of fresh greens.
Very nice selection of wines.
Wonderful service - attentive without being intrusive. Our first soup course did take quite some time to arrive however the waiter was very attentive and apologetic. Main course was absolutely fantastic. Splurged on desert which was stunning (hand spun cotton candy !!) and delicious. Will definitively return when in Leesburg..
Love the food!! Our last visit was a busy night, so service was slow. But our waiter & the manager were both very attentive and aware of the delay... it didn't ruin our night!
