Lido Bayside Grill at The Standard Spa, Miami Beach
Not a place to take a date. Music vibe was more college style typical house music setting. The restaurant is available to let people from the hotel to just hang out and stand right next to your table.
great food great service
we had a great time
It's a must for anyone visiting Miami or just for a memorable night out for those living in Miami.
Food is great, service amazing and the setup is unforgettable.
My only critique would be for the bar and the drinks, there is definitely space for improvement when it comes to cocktails.
Apart from that amazing experience as usual
A stunning place that has to be visited but with service and very poor food. Worth the view and the atmosphere.
After several days of rain, we were lucky to enjoy dinner by the water, watching the dolphins swimming in the bay. The ceviche was delicious, but we missed some favorite items from the old menu. The waitress went out of her way to take a super photo of our birthday celebration.
We were so disappointed! I gave 5 stars for the beautiful view of open water. The food was SO BAD. I like the property- have visited over the years for spa and pool. My grilled chicken over my salad was the dark thigh meat and it was dry and rubbery. No chicken BREAST. The dressing 90% oil and ruined the nice lettuce and vegetables to mush. The whole snapper dishes were a whole fish, however, we were left wondering - was the fish large enough to catch? It was small and had minimal meat. Again, the sauce was mostly oil.
The carrot blonde for dessert was freezing cold and flavorless. It came with a white powder that tasted like baking soda. The three of us took a bite and tried to wash it down with water. I believe they did take it off of our bill, which was great.
Don’t waste your money on dinner. It’s not cheap. Sit and have a drink and enjoy the view.
Location and grounds are beautiful! The food was very fresh and tasty, affordable and great bartenders. Definitely going back!
Blond hostess was rude and not personable or welcoming.
Beautiful views, great food, grounds were amazing
Amazing location, views, food, and service!
Best outdoor dining in Miami.
For the view only, please. Have a drink and a fried appetizer and stop there. Otherwise, Lido Bayside Grill has less than average food and service for very overpriced fare. $50 for a steak with a wobbly table and a view of clientele whose tacky fashion choices are uninspiring to the appetite. Really? This restaurant is actually a waterfront sports bar with steakhouse prices. Thank you.
Beautiful!!!! So much fun
We enjoyed our time at the Lido Bayside Grill very much.!The views are spectacular. The service was excellent. We liked our Brussel sprouts and tater tots to start. However, the burger on special was not as good. We will definitely return!
The new menu is somewhat eclectic but not in a good way. It arrives randomly, not coordinated at all and sometimes cold. The servers are very good and make you feel welcome and are quite attentive. The chairs are the WORST, very uncomfortable, and I have had back problems each time I have eaten there. It takes days to recover. The banquette is a bit better, but the noise level is higher since you are nearer the speakers pumping out loud rhythmic mostly Latin music which is fine but not for conversation. Much too loud! We have been there several times now and have taken our friends to dinner many times. I would not go there again for dinner. It would be fine for a drink and an appetizer, but that's it for me. The location and ambiance are wonderful. AND, too many young people SMOKE so there is that to contend with as well. And people get loud when they drink. And it is expensive.
Milena is just an amazing
Great place to hang out beautiful water view
Best view in Miami Beach
Very nice. Sat at a table on the deck overlooking the bay
The place is beautiful, but the plates are really small and the service wasn’t good.
We were 4 and regardless of I saw some empty tables, they made Us to wait 49 minutes until I went to talk with the manager; after we ordered champagne and they forgot about until we asked for the champagne and we show them on the menu which one we want and I came back to ask again.
The service is super disorganized.
Great views. Cool place. Good food and music
I will go repitd.
We visited as part of my niece’s 40th birthday celebrations.
Great environment looking out onto the bay and great service and food.
We arrived just before happy hour ended (4pm to 7pm) which was excellent value.
The prices were way beyond the quality of the food.
A beautiful setting and meal for my father's birthday!
The food was delicious, one of the best meals we had during our stay in Miami. The drinks were also amazing, but the atmosphere was incredible! Great view, energetic vibe. We loved it and will definitely come back!
Outstanding menu, including vegan options.
Fabulous ambience and dining area! The views can’t be beat!
The food has become a joke. It makes people sick, is not seasoned well (or over-seasoned), and combinations of ingredients make no sense. If it weren't for the view and waterfront, I would never go back.
very nice terrace
food was very average
the price of meet is insane
Went for my mother’s birthday breakfast. The ambiance is fantastic. She wanted to eat somewhere by the water. We’ve been here before and I immediately thought of this place. Unfortunately, the service was horrible the waitress was slow and we had to ask her several times for basic seasonings. None of the food was salted or seasoned. It was bland and cold. I understand the dishes were fusion breakfast food classics but they were dull and disappointing. Will not be back.
New menu has some real gems, lots to choose from.
The entertainment, while talented, kinda raised to overall noise level in the dining area.
Menu concept was hard to understand and had little options. Should have been explained as a tapas way of eating as plates were small. It was over priced for the size of portion as they were very small and quite basic.
I haven’t seen any “rude” workers ever like this restaurant. I made the reservation over OpenTable application AleykümSelam I do everytime. When I arrived to the restaurant they said they don’t see the name. I asked them to check again and they said the same thing. Then I wanted to check the screen maybe they don’t spell my name correctly and they did not show it. I told the guy to call the manager. He dis not call the managee. Then I insist. And finally he called the manager. She came and I told whole story of their attitude. She also did not want to help us and almost 20 minutes left after my reservation time. The manager told me that they don’t have table for us. She wanted me to wait a little more. I waited and after 10 minutes the guy who was so rude to us came and gave us the worst table in the restaurant and I saw so many tables were available at that time. I am complainimg about these people..!
With seated reservation took 45 min wait to be served 😱
Did offer us a glass of wine. 😎
I have always been a huge fan of Lido at the Standard. I’ve been going for years, as I regard the food, ambiance and overall experience as one of the best in the city.
As a local, who was born and raised in Miami Beach (literally across the water from the Standard), I can attest that it is truly one of the exceptionally special places to enjoy in my hometown.
The menu was limited, with very few wines by the glass. The brussel sprouts were salty, and my salad was tasteless. Honestly, it was wilted iceberg lettuce, and tomatoes. My husband ordered the NY strip, and it was acceptable, at best. It could have passed as hangar steak. The view was lovely, and frankly, the saving grace to the dining experience. The service was fair. The waitstaff disappeared and was inattentive.
Starters were great, but the mains have too much salt. Also, people smoke cigarettes all around you while you eat. Service was good though - nice people working there.
Having visited Miami once again, and having had a fantastic experience in 2013, we booked and dined once again since we were in town, which ended up with us dining during St Patricks Day. However, it wasn't too busy, but there was loud music being played across the PA, making it hard to have a conversation with our diners at the table without shouting, which was a shame.
The service was average at best, but sadly the bill came with an automatic 20% tip included, once we actually managed to request the cheque. Our waiter got several items on the order wrong, and dishes came out at the wrong time - possibly due to the loud music, or possibly due to being rushed.
We only got asked if we wanted to order more drinks once, about 90 minutes after we were first seated, and hence at the end of our meal.
The food itself was lovely - tasty, fresh, varied, and filling.
Great views, but it felt like Lido is trying to trade too much on those views as opposed to delivering a memorable all-round experience.
We came for dinner and enjoyed it so much that we came back two days later for brunch!
The food is fresh and healthy!! For dinner I had the fish special which was a swordfish with lentil daal. The fish was prepared PERFECTLY. It’s easy to dry out swordfish and this fish just melted in my mouth, yes had a nice crispy layer on the outside. The lentil daal was a creamy with a little chew from the lentils. Perfect!
For brunch I went with the avocado toast with a poached egg, fresh fruit plate and mimosas. My boyfriend had the Buddha bowl. All very good. Perfect portions and my egg was poached perfectly.
I visit the The Standard cafe near the High Line every time I’m in NYC. The Lido cafe will become my local go to spot when I’m missing the one in New York! Can’t wait to go back!
