Owner operated, our desire is to always be on hand to serve you simple, well-prepared food.
The food was great, better than expected. There was a band playing for a bit on the walk way but it added to the initial experience.
Hands-down, Lecosho makes the best burger. I cannot resist it every time I eat here.
The place was hard to find, as Open table had them pin pointed as a block up. The restaurant is hidden on the stairs up University Ave. Dinner was so good! We started with the shashito peppers- they were delicious but the plateup was lackluster with just the peppers and an exorbitant amount of aioli squirted haphazardly on it...the main entrees were plated much better and tasted just as amazing. I had the Ribeye, my sister had the Halibut. My Ribeye was cooked to perfection and tender!! Would definitely recommend! I think they need to move to a more prominent location to truly showcase their culinary talent!
Great food, and nice understated ambiance. Our favorite dish was, surprisingly, a baby kale salad with pistachios, figs, and grilled haloumi.
Elmelia made our evening very enjoyable. We ordered 4 small plate for the 2 of us and it was very filling! Each dish was thoughtful, presented well, and clearly had people who care about their craft behind them.
Always great food and service. Bar drinks are fantastic.
Enjoyed a well-prepared wild boar Ragu and mixed greens salad with a very balanced Cab-Merlot. Dined on the patio. The restaurant had very low traffic on my Tuesday night. However, attentive waiter did not go unnoticed. Plan on exploring further items on the menu in a future visit. Recommend!
Excellent surprise. Tried one night and returned the next. Not big menu but quality and service is there. Loved the pork chop.
Very good food. We will definitely be back!
Lovely restaurant. The staff is excellent and we really enjoyed our meal. Great location for a stroll along the water afterwards.
Ate outside on a lovely Seattle summer day. We had a 7:30 concert a 10 minute walk away. 2 people arrived about 5:50. Under normal circumstances, this would be plenty of time. However, the other 2 experienced Seattle traffic woes and arrived about 6:25. The server and hostess did a superb job getting us fed and out by 7:10. To make matters even better, the pasta, seafood, and cheese plate we ordered exceeded our expectations.
Absolutely delicious! Warm and friendly service.
Lovely setting on the Harbor steps. (Formerly a sushi resto was located there). We sat on the terrace in front nearest the condo gate, to the south side. Delicious heirloom tomato wedge salad and we asked for bread which came with a tasty French-style olive tapenade the remains of which I really wanted to take home. We both ordered the juicy, generously sized pork chop over chanterelles and potatoes. Delicious. The bar kindly comped my first glass of Pinot noir as it was the last of a particular one. We bought a jar of watermelon rind pickles to take home. I would definitely eat here again.
The service was awesome, the environment was beautiful and romantic. The food was incredible and flavorful! I would definitely go again. I love how you can see the kitchen. Amazing food and environment highly suggested
Amazing service and great food. We had a special birthday celebration with our work group and Lecosho provided great service and made the event special for us. Thank you.
Great outdoor patio area. Great and pleasant service.
Dinner at Lecosho was a bases-loaded grand slam success. Every dish was fantastic, our waiter (Mike) was terrific, and the overall vibe was warm and friendly. A memorable meal all around.
The food and ambience were simply perfect for our recent gathering of old college friends. Host/owner/master chef Matt Jahnke was on hand by happy accident to treat us all as cherished guests. The patio seating was a great choice for a raucous and ravenous group! An array of delicious small plates and entrees suitable for sharing were paired with great wines from a nicely curated list. The menu changes to incorporate some seasonal items but favorites remain and despite the name, there are plenty of options for vegetarians. Lecosho is a great option to remember for folks coming over to Seattle by ferry. Highly recommend!
What a nice experience to dine in a fun place with an open kitchen and friendly waiters and waitresses to help make the experience special!
We had a lovely dinner here. The server really added to our experience. The only thing we thought, which could be a 1 off, was our ravioli was slightly undercooked. I think because they are so large. We had our pork chop as reccomended at medium rare, we asked for it to be put back on and they were happy to do so. We just like it more medium well. Great flavours in the dishes and great service! I would recommend going here!
Delish! The new menu knocks it out of the park! We shared 3 small plates: charcuterie, grilled haloumi, and swordfish bacon grilled shishito peppers. Awesome! We’ll definitely return!
This is our fourth visit to Lecosha, and it was a s good as it gets. The four of us ate everything family style. All dishes were vegetarian, all very tasty and unusual, and all very satisfying. The desserts were very good, if a bit too sweet for my taste, though I don't eat much sweet food. The service was impeccable.
Food was good - need to refresh the menu, I feel it has been the same or similar for a while now. no issues, what I expected.
Good food but the place was SO loud that we couldn't hear each other speak.
Octopus with fried rice is definitely to die for!!!
Simple and efficient, the overall food is from good raw material. Don't forget to order your side :-)
Lecosho has and continues to be a constant place for me to reconnect with colleagues during lunch. I work near the waterfront and most dining experiences focus on our wonderful tourists. Lecosho brings a local taste to the downtown waterfront neighborhood. I hope that it remains a staple to our portfolio of local restaurants. I see opportunity to reimagine how it can expand or even redesign the existing location to further develop locals activation in this neighborhood.
The service was wonderful and the food was very delicious. We had dinner with teenagers who are good eaters and enjoyed ourselves very much. We started with some small plates to share Spanish fried rice with octopus, crab toast and pork belly; all were very good. The short ribs and grits with pickled rhubarb was very tasty, we loved the texture and flavor of the rhubarb with the meaty ribs. We also ordered Raviolo which was really delicious and perfectly cooked and the halibut which was also cooked to perfection and quite delicious although the accompaniment on our plate was a bit lacking in flavor and there were large chunks of onion that was undercooked and poorly scaled/flavored for the dish - the halibut plate left us wishing that we would have ordered the chicken which is always delicious or another plate of the Raviolo
We loved the food and drinks at Lecosho. Standouts were the ragu, cod and salmon. Our dinner at Lecosho was a standout among several wonderful meals in Seattle.
busy place with good food and very friendly people.
My friend and I had the salmon and it was fantastic. As my friend said, “it exceeded his expectations.” My wife had the pork chop, which stole the show! I guess that is why the pig is part of the signage! Another table favorite was the octopus fried rice - great taste and flavor - try it! Along with the pork belly as your starters.
Service was good and my only complaint was
the charge of $10 for a club soda - seriously!?!?!
First time for dinner here as Lecosho has typically been a lunch destination for me. Good overal dinner experiences.
The food was excellent except for the cauliflower which came with anchovies in it - the menu didn’t list it. Yuck! It tasted really fishy. We sat at a great outside table but by the time we finished, it had got much colder. Would have been nice to have heaters.
Outstanding restaurant. Great menu.
DELCIOUS. Great service, great location. Highly recommend!
Our dinner was for double birthdays. We all loved our dishes and the appetizers. The pork belly was good, the caesar & house salads, the chicken, steak and halibut were excellent. The chocolate torte was the best dessert we had.
Really enjoyed our meal and the outside seating made it that much more enjoyable. Food was great though the pork chop seemed slightly undercooked. Overall, we were happy with the meal - I would return!
Overall it was a good dinner. The food could have had a bit more flavor. When I made our reservations I noted it was for our anniversary however there was no mention of it by our server which was disappointing.
FYI Happy hour isn’t available at tables but waiter allowed us to order one happy hour drink each...appetizers were okay but portions on the small side
Excellent and well-considered menu tending toward the rustic. Excellent wine list. Desserts for any pallet. Unique spot on the Harbor Steps. Staff are professional, attentive and friendly.
We had a wonderful meal celebrating our anniversary. Staff was very accommodating and gave us a great spot hidden in the back for privacy. Food was mouth watering. Definitely will be back.
