Lebanese Taverna - Pentagon Row
sliced American lamb loin, three herb sauce, grilled vegetables, potatoes
marinated grilled meats and vegetables, Lebanese rice
romaine, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, mint, radish, pomegranate-sumac dressing, pita chips
Service was extremely slow. Table was not clean. Floor was messy. Felt run down as compared to when I visited three years ago. Many tables outside but did not have an option to eat outside. Food was ok. Chicken a bit undercooked. Lamb was tough. A bit disappointing. I assume that COVID has created staffing issues.
The food here is always so good. Unfortunately, we showed up on time for a 9p reservation on a Saturday night and the wait staff could not have been more clearly annoyed at us. They didn’t even bother to ask us if we wanted drinks, took our food order and then just vanished. Our food showed up and we were on our own. We had to go find the guy to get a check.
If they don’t want to be open that late, maybe don’t allow reservations after 8 or 830?
I have dined at all the Lebanese Tavernas. The food is consistently excellent. This location has a marvelous outdoor dining area with plenty of space and views of the activity going on at Pentagon Row.
Excellent staff and outstanding food. I really enjoyed talking to Yousef. He’s a professional and loves his job. I wish more establishments had wonderful people like him.
My office came for a farewell/promotion event and the staff was amazing and accommodating to our group of 10!!
Always great food and great service
The entire staff was terrific.
Really great service. Food was authentic, delicious and well portioned.
Excellent experience as always
I really enjoy the outdoor seating.
Love everything about this restaurant
This place is fantastic. Consistently great food and service.
Lebanese Taverna is a consistently good dining experience. The venue, particularly with the doors open is very nice.
Mediocre at best. And based on the reviews, I expected something great. Instead, was a real disappointment. OpenTable is usually more reliable. What is this?
The waiter snapped at us several times and was generally rude. He handed me my plate as I was trying to clear my 3 year old’s crayons and I nearly dropped all my food! We had to tell him to walk around and put my child’s plate down in front of her and he copped an attitude like why should he put her plate down like a civilized person. I have no idea what his problem was. He was MIA when we wanted a take-home bag and the check. Worst experience at Lebanese ever and I doubt I’ll go back to that location.
NoVA has a good number of Middle Eastern restaurants with better food, however Lebanese Taverna is the only choice near Pentagon. The rating is on a generous side since the food is not up to par. I wish they would improve the quality of food and in particular the quality of lamb, which is a staple of the menu. The lamb should be melting in the mouth and flavorful, sadly its not the case.
Service is good and its a nice place.
Wonderful food and service. We felt we were on a mini vacation to Lebanon. Excellent Lebanese beer also!
Great place to dine indoors or out. Food is consistently good - great variety from which to choose.
The service was atrocious and they ran out of the sangria, wine, and baklava we tried to order. Took almost an hour to put in our dinner order. The server didn’t seem to care about doing a good job despite only having four tables; we felt very neglected. They were eager to get us out of there by 8:55pm. Won’t be returning to this location.
Very pleasant place for outdoor lunch. We were 3 people with one cellphone and no knowledge of how to use phone to scan and see the menu-- It was irritating not to be offered a paper menu. And very difficult to look at the menu on the phone! Still, the food we ordered was good and it was nice to be at a restaurant with so many healthy options.
A great place to celebrate! This time, it was two college graduations together with family. Lebanese Taverna has been a family favorite for almost twenty years. This was our first visit in more than a year. Gosh, we’ve missed it so...
The attending waiter appears to have been on training. We had to ask for napkins and serving spoons, etc. Could not get whole wheat bread. Prices for dishes have shot up since our last visit a few months ago. I had mentioned "birthday" while making the reservation and did not feel like mentioning it while we were at the restaurant.
Although the Tysons's Lebanese Taberna is closer to our residence, we prefer the Pentagon City's Lebanese Taberna as we have had good experience there.
Glad to see the restaurant observing social distancing carefully.
The food was amazing. Very authentic taste that creates a party in your mouth. The servers are always attentive and will answer your questions and make suggestions when needed. You must try this place!
Great for outdoor dining. Good food and service..
I ordered the salmon salad and it came with a bed of parsley instead of lettuce, which honestly make no sense. On top of that the salad dressing was too acidic and the “salad”, if you could call it that, cost $18. I don’t recommend the salmon salad. The salmon was good but the parsley portion was not and it’s definitely not worth $18. After this experience I doubt I’ll go back.
We always eat at Lebanese Taverna when in the DC area and it never disappoints. I had the bronzino dish.
Best Lebanese food and best service!
Celebrated a work birthday with colleagues. Food was excellent. Service was courteous. Took a while for appetizers to arrive, then food arrived shortly after.
We have celebrated the 65th wedding anniversary of my very elderly parents at this restaurant. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Food was just the right kind for the occasion. The restaurant helped us to have a memorable experience of a very meaningful anniversary. We very much appreciate that!
Taverna is always a good bet for very fresh and tasty Lebanese fare. The service was also spot-on. LT operates like a well-oiled machine!
Amazing!! We had such a great time and the homemade bread is amazing!!
Celebrating my son’s birthday and my other son’s Match to his Residency at Georgetown Medical.
Excellent service for my friends and myself for a lunch time meal this past week.
Great service, delicious food, great location. I’ll be back!
The food was not seasoned properly. The service was ok. The kitchen closes too early, couldn’t even get Hummus.
It was fine but not great. The server was kind and the ambiance great.
Consistently good fir casual everyday dining
Pentagon Row Lebanese Taverna is one of my favorite restaurants. The ambience is relaxing and beautiful, the food is always outstanding, and the service is wonderful. The tables are spaced out nicely so you won't be too close to anyone if you choose to dine in!
Using the app, we picked outdoor seating, unfortunately the outdoor area was closed. The host instead opened up a small section of the glass door, and placed out table outside to accommodate the dog we had with us. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our visit. Food was outstanding as usual. Highly recommend.
