Le Boudin Blanc
Not all our tables are offered to book online. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 020 7499 3292 if your preferred time is not available, for last minute availability or to book parties of 6 or more.
Very ordinary food. My Mussels tasted metallic. The Boudin Blanc was very bland. The accompanying boiled cabbage was unexciting. The noise level was almost painful. At a table of 6 it was almost impossible to hear or be heard. Service was just about acceptable, but wine glasses tried to be cleared before finished, and prompting was required to gain attention. It was a busy evening. The price was reasonable for the food served.
The food experience of our party of four varied widely from poor to good, and overall the restaurant was rated over-priced, particularly for the wine. Ambiance and service was OK.
Always reliable. Great food and great service! Perfect for dates and special occasions.
A lovely meal but the service was slow at times and it was very noisy on the ground floor
Restaurant is too noisy. Food is not fresh. Meals were served 5mn after we order. I won't recommend this place.
Outstanding service and food quality for the price level. Proper French food (I am French)
We sat outside, which was great. We have eaten inside before and found it a little crowded and hectic. Outside is charming.
The food was first class, including large and wonderful oysters to start with. Very personable service and good wine advice.
The food was great and the place was fun. Wait staff did not know a lot of about the wines and there was some confusion with our order. But, we will definitely go back.
Had a delicious meal there last week - a mix of the prix fix and a la carte. The food was delicious, the service was lively and friendly. Only slight draw back is that it was quite noisy inside and therefore slightly difficult to hear each other - but that might be due to our increasing age!
We were able to get a last minute reservation. When they seated us it was in a tight space but we were just happy to be there. They came back in a few minutes and said we have a better table for you. The service was impeccable. Our waitress was french and worked very hard to explain items on the menu we disnt understand. If she didnt she got someone else to help. They were able to accommodate gluten free diet. The sommelier picked the perfect wine for my taste. It was a pleasant evening and in of our best dining experiences ever.
Always a good meal with enthusiastic service and original menus. The Jersey oysters were amazing and the Sole perfectly cooked. The only thing that spoils your wonderful meal is the noise of other diners and on this occasions pickets outside 5 Hertford Street with the banging of drums and blowing of pipes to attract attention well into late evening!
I had lunch at Le Boudin Blanc with two mates. We have eaten there regularly in the past and like it for its ambience. The servers were attentive, but the food was at best mediocre (my lamb was not freshly cooked, and not therefore as succulent as I would have liked) and overpriced. Having lived in Paris for 5 years and London for almost 40 years, I have eaten in a lot of good, bad and indifferent restaurants. This was distinctly the latter. I shall not be returning, despite it having been one of my long-term favourites.
Le Boudin Blanc is my favorite restaurant in Paris ... no, wait ... London. I had wandered in last year on a business trip, tired and hungry, and I loved it. When I returned to London with my wife 18 months later to celebrate my birthday, this was my first choice. I was worried that time and the circumstances of my first visit had inflated the quality of the food, service and experience in my memory beyond reality.
But it was as good as I remembered.
Also, my wife is gluten and dairy free. The staff worked with her to find items for her on the menu and modifications to others. She liked her meal as much as I liked mine.
Friendly and professional staff. Delicious food. Good value for money. Thank you.
Everything was perfect. The wait staff, the service, the food, the wine. Thank you
Had a wonderful lunch with great service and food.
Lovely little French restaurant that delivers on food and a cozy atmosphere! Not very child-friendly though - we took our kids because if was Fathers Day but were surrounded by some rather serious older clientele. Would definitely be back on a date night.
Amazing French food
Always fresh oysters
This is a terrific place - a pretty space, good food, friendly service.
This restaurant never fails to impress. I have been coming here for about 20 years and enjoy taking family and friends with me knowing that we will have a good service along with excellent food
It is not cheap but you definitely get what you pay for
Great French food in convenient location. The specials were spot on.
Always fine here once or twice a trip!
Overall our dining experience was just average. The main course was not served as hot as desired. The table candles created an irritating odor. Our experience last September was much better.
Le boudin blanc is an all time favourite. If you want classic French cooking eat here!
Great staff amazing food all around fantastic
All great except for a very noisy family with kids at the next table. Restaurant not responsible for that! Great experience overall.
Fabolous food, great wine recommendation from sommelier and nice atmosphere overall. One of our fav restaurants in London since mid 90s
Wonderful, as always.
It was Paris in London....the food outstanding and atmosphere in Shepards Market perfect. We enjoyed escargot, veal, excellent wine and service. Would definitely recommend.
We have been here many, many times. Staff change but always French, efficient and polite. Wine list is superb especially for the Midi wines. Expensive and a treat but makes Shepherd's market and I recommend supporting/visiting this gem of France in Mayfair.
I booked a table for me and customers, it was the right balance of being impressive but not over the top. A very relaxed atmosphere with friendly service from the maitre d. waiter and sommelier. A touch expensive for traditional French food but we all enjoyed it and had very sincere thanks from our guests the following morning. If you want a reliable restaurant and high quality meal I'd recommend Boudin Blanc.
This is our favourite restaurant when in London, we love its authenticity , our family use it too, I've read many of their re-view's, which to be honest, some are picky , if you look hard enough you'll find something, but its French, and that say's a lot about how your going to find it, you just have to go with it and let the evening unfold, great food, great atmosphere, great location too now that Shepperd's Market has cleaned its act up. The only down side is it comes at a very high end price, our meal for two, 3x course with one bottle of wine inc service was just over £200, so your going to invite some criticism, but not from me.
Great French country cuisine. Excellent selection and daily specials. I go to Le Boudin Blanc every time I go to London. Discovered it on a trip many years ago while my wife and I were walking around Mayfair and then Shepherd’s market area. So glad I found it. The service is outstanding. You will not be disappointed.
I was asked 4 times if everything was ok... too much. The diner on the next table hadn’t finished but they tried to remove her plate. Very noisy
The food was lovely so was the staff but the tables are far too close to each other , the tables are too small, shame . I could touch the back of he person next to me with my elbow .
We had a very enjoyable evening at Le Boudin Blanc. The service was excellent, as was the food. The escargot is the best in London, and the main courses of Dover Sole and Lamb Shank were outstanding. Le Boudin Blanc has a wonderful atmosphere and we return here often.
Most enjoyable for a relaxed group lunch. Very special atmosphere in the heart of Mayfair. All dishes were reliably good with special mention of Pate/Parfait, Soups and Duck Confit.
Simple unfussy decor, a delicious meal start to finish with low key but excellent service. Delighted I got a table at the last minute, one of the nicest meals I’ve had in London.
