Horrible service, but decent prime ribs. Good for takeout but bad for dining in.
Great meal! Super service!
My husband and I haven’t gone out for a special meal in ages due to COVID. We celebrated our 29th anniversary this week at Lawry’s in Dallas on the toll road. It was such an enjoyable evening! Our wait person (forgive me I can’t remember her name) was gracious and upbeat and helpful. She made our evening just delightful. The food as usual was superb. We were surprised with a delicious cake presented to us for our anniversary.
Thank you for a wonderful outing!
We came for restaurant month. Everything served was wonderful. There is nothing better than Lawry's spinning bowl salad. That was followed by a crab cake that was very good. Of course the main course of prime rib is what Lawry's is known for. The meat was cut and served just how we like it. I am a huge fan of the whipped horseradish with my meat too. This was our FIRST meal in a restaurant since the pandemic and we were totally happy and pleased with the experience after 6 months of eating all our meals at home.
We went for Dallas Restaurant Week. The food was excellent. I got the filet mignon and it was the best I have ever had. Our server was Trevor and he was excellent. He treated us like we were getting the regular menu.
I have been there many times for lunch and have always considered it a good place for a business lunch. Now it is my favorite place for leisurely dinner.
Very enjoyable experience! Our waiter Jules was very pleasant, professional and attentive
We had a fantastic time just enjoying the wonderful night
Portions were poor. No cart deliver made experience poor. Was very disappointed. Won’t go back.
I went to Lawrys because the Sunday brunch menu on OpenTable had "Toad in the Hole" and it looked interesting. However, when I got there, the menu was different and the item I had gone for was no longer on it. So, I selected a crab omelette instead.
On Sunday Brunch, you get a choice of Mushroom "Bisque" or the Lawry's salad. I chose the Bisque, but it was more like a thin mushroom soup. The "bisque" was disappointing to say the least.
The crab omelette was supposed to have, I think, PepperJack cheese, but it tasted more like swiss cheese to me as it appeared more mild. I did taste crab, but the omelette wasn't good enough to say I could ever recommend it to anyone.
I probably should have had the eggs with beef medallions as it would be more in line with what Lawry's is known for, meat... The accompanying baked potato wedges were good.
I had the pecan pie that did come with a small side of vanilla ice cream. That dessert, and the never ending mimosa, along with the bartender and waiter were worth the visit. But, not the crab omelette or the mushrooom "bisque"
Prime Rib cooked Med Rare where it should be! Good Service!
Not worth the money in any form, 3 hours to have prime rib
Wonderful experience. Highly recommended. Staff was very attentive.
What a disappointment.
We went to Lawry's for DFW Restaurant week and the service was terrible. The food was OK, but took an hour to get out. Then some things were not brough to our table. We counted four people that were waiting on us. Not sure why we kept getting passed off.
That was our first time there and probably our last.
We’ve never had a bad meal. Food was delicious and the service was excellent . We had a great waiter and was very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend Lawry’s .
Great experience - will definitely go again. Everything made for a perfect date night.
Celebrated our anniversary here. The food is always good and we enjoyed trying new things on the restaurant week menu. I’m also a new fan of the blueberry hills smash. It’s sort of like a blueberry infused mint julep. Delicious!
The food was way overpriced for what we received. If you’re going to charge premium prices increase the portion size.
Awesome customer service and delicious food. We enjoyed ourselves and loved the desert as well as the atmosphere.
For being a prime rib specialty kitchen my husband and I were so disappointed with our prime rib, as well as the appetizers and salad. The salad presentation was engaging and exciting but the salad was watery, steak was very thin and rubbery, potatoes seemed like they came out of the grocery freezer section and calamari was over breaded. I’d been to Lawry’s before with coworker and the quality of the food was so much better last time, which is why I decided to go on a date night here, but left feeling embarrassed for choosing Lawry’s.
For how much guests invest in a romantic dinner, I was very disappointed.
We were seated very quickly and our server Travis was right there taking our drink orders. He recommended the date/goat cheese/bacon wrapped appetizer. They were really good. The spinning salad was not as good as I remember it being, but I think it was just lacking enough dressing. The prime rib and sides were delicious. Travis was very attentive and we never had to wait for food or drinks. This was a special occasion - our anniversary, so they brought us a really good piece of cake. I would only go here on a special occasion, and maybe once a year.
We absolutely love Lawry’s, but this time was different. The staff didn’t really know the menu or how to do things like the spinning salad. We were seated in kinda a back room. The California cut was the smallest I had ever had. We had to ask for our Yorkshire pudding. My wife was kinda thrown a box for her left overs while staff stood and waited for her to get her stuff off her plate so they could take it. Just what normally experience or what I expected from what I have had. Seemed to be maybe Covid so we don’t have to do anything. I didn’t pay less... May be some time before we return.
We came to celebrate my husband’s birthday. It’s so difficult finding a nice restaurant during a pandemic. Lawry’s did not disappoint ! We were given a private room and felt very safe from other guests. It was clean and the food was delicious! Do yourself a favor and treat yourself at Lawry’s! Great food lovely ambiance and it was extra clean.
Birthday celebration! Brad was very accommodating, made the day special and enjoyful!
Food was amazing & service excellent
Our dining experience was excellent. The food was great and service by Jules was exceptional. She made our evening.
Only suggestion would be to add a few more seafood dishes to the menu.
Adherence to covid-19 restrictions was very good and we felt very comfortable.
It has been one of my favorite places to eat since I moved here in 1985.
I also enjoy the SPECIAL DINNERS!
Another great meal! Thanks for making my husband's birthday so special!
Our favorite place to celebrate special occasions, the food excellent the atmosphere elegant and the background music was soft and enjoyable. We had excellent service as always which is why we keep coming back when we can. Really enjoyde all the flavors and the bacon wrapped dates were amazing.
Always love Lawry's. Ambience is lacking. Covid is a little overdone in that everything is plain. There has to be a way for the restaurant to dress the tables. Looks very drab upon entering.
Five star food, service and environment conducive for conversation. Hallelujah!
The food was incredible as usual. I can not eat Prime Rib anywhere else. Service was excellent, very attentive but not intrusive. Nice long dinner with great conversation in a perfect ambiance.
Prices have gone way up AND the portions of prime rib are smaller than they used to be. Great atmosphere and service. But $300 plus tip for 5 people including 4 glasses of wine is really not worth it. Probably won’t be back.
The food is always wonderful at Lawry's. I felt as if they were taking all necessary precautions for our safety during the pandemic. The atmosphere is conducive to a special night out and the service was impeccable. We are never disappointed!
Food was outstanding and the server was very pleasant. Ambience and Atmosphere made for a very nice dining experience.
Great 1st experience at Lawrys. Brad was awesome, even thought escargot was not on the main menu he was still able to get for us. Food was superb, asparagus and bernaise was awesome! Also, try the special dry aged strip.
Travis, the waiter that I always request, gave us outstanding service, as usual, and the Prime Rib and Sides were all wonderful. I highly recommend.
Always a treat to go here. On this trip the portion of the beef and potatoes was smaller than in the past.
Wonderful experience. Can't wait for our next celebration so that we can go back.
Very good services thanks so much
Recommend Larry’s the prime Rib all my friends and family. Thanks thanks god bless you
