Excellent food and service. Staff was ver friendly!
Disappointing, I have had much better prime rib for half or less price. Sorry
Great Brunch for the price! Had a wonderful exprience. The service was great!
Great food Great service all around great time. I will be coming back again.
Food was excellent, service was good and ambiance was perfect.
The dessert was over the top!
I recommend the Banana coconut Cream pie!
Ask for Travis as a waiter and Emily at the bar. The Campfire Old Fashioned is amazing!
I was disappointed with my meal. I had their prime rib dinner which, this time, happened to be very "tough." What I mean is that several bites of my meat were not chewable. They did not break down in my mouth, to be able to swallow them without difficulty. Sorry for getting so graphic.
I was very disappointed and vowed to not eat their prime rib dinner again.
Lawry’s never disappoints! From the famous spinning salad bowl- to the amazing prime rib, cream spinach and Yorkshire pudding... it’s consistently amazing. We tried the pork belly appetizer for the first time and it, too, was delicious. Rounded out the night with an old standard coconut banana pie. It was our last date night before the baby arrives and it was perfect.
Being a very longtime customer, Lawry’s is great. For the first time in my wife and I life we decided to try the steak instead. For us it was tough and too well done, now don’t miss understand our Constructive criticism. For some it may be heaven, for us the prime rib and lobster are the only top notch items. Imagine In n Out trying to serve a hot dog, they would fail. This is the best prime rib in the world. We did try some other side dishes this time and must say they scored very high and will have again. Always faithful.

Excellent Brunch experience at Lawry's! Our server (Bailey) provided great and friendly service. Our food was excellent. We really enjoyed our meal and time there. We highly recommend Lawry's. Exceptional food and service as always.
Took my husband for his b-day at his request. We had not been in a few years and we will not be back. We were greatly anticipating this meal, but unfortunately it appears Lawry's is surviving on name recognition alone as it certainly cannot be the food any longer. To say that we were less than impressed would be an understatement.
Service was slow, but this was due to a busy Saturday night and multiple servers needing access to the carving station at the same time. This we can understand and is not the servers fault.
The appetizers were good, shrimp cocktail and bacon wrapped dates. Salad was less than stellar and our server was not adept at the whole spinning bowl process as dressing was splattered when poured and bits of salad were dropped on the floor when being transferred to the plate.
Although the prime rib was done to our liking (medium) the cut of meat itself was quite poor and far from what is expected from Lawry's; this is not Golden Corral! Furthermore, the au jus was poured on top of the meat and mashed potatoes which resulted in the food sitting in a plate full of liquid; not appealing at all. Au Jus is to be served in a small bowl to the side to allow the individual the to determine how much they wish to have with each bite. This has always been the custom in the past at Lawry's why would this be changed?
We decided to take dessert home; carrot cake and creme brulee. Cake was dry and brulee was a glob sitting directly in a cardboard box! I guess given the remainder of the meal this is the ending we should have been expecting. So disappointed. :(
I’d recommend to avoid the Gouda mac n cheese side. Pepper over powered very disappointing. Prime rib was great but wife’s cut was overdone.
Had a great time on our last date night at Lawry's. The service was great, food was timed well and drinks were kept full. Our server Dale was very polite and helped us work our way through the menu and substituting the sides accompanying our dishes. My wife's New York Strip was cooked slightly above the medium rare requested but the rest of the food was great. My Prime Rib was excellent and the experience was one that will have us returning soon.
Excellent service. Anthony took great care of us. I had a couple of glasses of wine which seem a little high priced. I should have asked the price before ordering but it was my birthday so what the hell.
It's the restaurant we go to where we want to eat and be treated like adults. In the main dining room: no TVs, wonderful old 50's and earlier songs in the background. Incredible food as well (and we don't even eat prime rib!).
We had lunch at 1:00 p.m. Most tables were empty but other than getting our drink order there was not a server around and I had to go to the front desk to ask for one. We were advised that there was a carving table and the hostess had to go find someone to assist us. While the prime rib was good, there was really no choice of sides other than creamed corn and creamed spinach and a saran-wrapped cookie for desert. We were told that we could order from the menu but the choices were the same. With tip, our bill for two people drinking only iced tea and one coffee was $85.00. Very mediocre experience for a high-priced lunch.
The real downfall was dull knives. Sharp knives would have made the overall experience superior.
We have eaten at Lawrys many times.
This last visit we didn't think was as good as before.
I THINK I'LL ORDER STEAK ON MY NEXT VISIT. PRIME RIB WAS MEDIOCRE....
Anthony was an excellent server. He made great recommendations for us. Timed the courses appropriately. The prime rib was tasty as usual.
Lawry's defines fine dining. They strive on giving patrons excellent service night in and night out. The food is beyond tremendous. The ambiance is perfect. Not much else I can say except go and see for yourself!!!
Lawry's is by far one of our favorite places. We are VIP members and go there frequently. We wanted to start our new year/decade with a fabulous dinner here. The food did not disappoint. It was delicious and prepared perfect as always. However, on this night the service was atrocious. Our regular server was off but we decided to go anyway...how bad could it be? The worst. Our nightmare lasted 2 hours with no appetizers or drinks from the bar. Just main meal and dessert. The server seemed surprised and confused everytime we asked for something, like she was totally clueless. A request for butter was repeated and never fulfilled. Water refills - too scary! My husband and I always split a baked potato because they are huge. Way over this one's head. She sloppily prepared the potato tableside with no butter and on one plate. We had to carve the thing up ourselves with a butter knife because we never received steak knives. Again, total shock to her that we would need steak knives at a steakhouse! Eventually she just stopped coming to the table. She ruined a lovely new year celebration with just the worst service ever. Yes we will still go to Lawry's but only when we know for 10000% sure our regular server is there.
Amazing food as always but our waiter, Patrick, was especially attentive and engaging tonight, making our night extra special.
Smoked salmon had no smoked flavor; smoked filet was very good. Salads were fine but not outstanding. Service was attentive and helpful. A very pleasant evening.
Was as good as I remembered. Prime Rib was very rare (ordered med rare). Still a great restaurant
Very unhappy with this iconic dinner establishment. Food was meh, server was snippy.
Great food and outstanding service. I've been going to Lawry's in Dallas for decades and it is one of the most consistently very good establishments that I know.
I have eaten at Lawry's several times in both Los Vegas and Beverly Hills and it has always been one of my favorite restaurants. For a special birthday dinner for my son, I made a Sunday night reservation here in Dallas. When we arrived, there was no valet. No big deal, plenty of parking. We were seated promptly, but things went downhill from there. Our waitress was not very attentive and service was very slow, even though it seemed they were not that busy. When we inquired about when our meals would be served, we were told there were several before us on the carving cart. Not sure why we fell back in line, but didn't get our meat until almost an hour after we ordered. I suspect this is not usual service, at least its not for their other locations. For the price, the overall celebration was disappointing. Not sure I will be coming back.
Service was wonderful. Prime Rib- very good. BUT, I think this is the last time. Calamari was mostly shoestring sweet potatoes. Didn’t even get to watch the carving. Poor cost-value.
Brad always provides excellent service!
My husband & I made an anniversary road trip to Dallas from Houston mainly to revisit Lawry's. We had not been there since we lived in the area in 1984! We weren't disappointed. The service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious.
Very good experience as always!
Excellent experience. The restaurant is beautiful and we were seated in a very comfortable booth. The menu is extensive with more offerings than I remember from other Lawry’s locations and we started with two excellent appetizers of lobster deviled eggs and escargot. Their classic spinning salad is not to be missed and the prime rib is among the best anywhere. Carved tableside it’s perfectly prepared and served with appropriate accompaniments including Yorkshire pudding. Their signature cocktails were unique and the smoked martini was our choice. Made with a rinse of Lagavulin Scotch, it was outstanding. Lawry’s restaurants are always a good choice when visiting the cities where they’re located.
For more than 36 years Lawry's has been a main stay of super dining in Dallas. There is no better place in Dallas for prime rib. It can be as small as six ounces (California Cut) and as large as you can image (Diamond Jim Brady Cut). Excellent sides. Spinning Bowl Salads. (And there are other options - fish and steaks as well). Superb wine list. Great Service. Wonderful Experience. Worth the Drive.
GreT service, food, and atmosphere! Well done!
After Christmas dinner
Lawrys used to be a favorite of my family & Christmas Eve dinner became a tradition. However this Christmas Eve dinner was not a great experience from the table we were seated at to the after dinner coffee. The service was poor. An hour between our salad course & main entree. My dinner arrived cold & not prepared well. I ate 1/2 . The bill was over $400.00 & not worth it. Sadly We wont not be going back to Lawrys again for Christmas Eve dinner or regular dinner. Something has changed because Lawrys used to be a great dining experience for years...
