Theo and Pascale never disappoint! Everything was fantastic. Mussels, Tornedous, fritte, sole, souffles - everything!
We eat at Lavendou at least twice a month. The roasted duck, filet of sole with crabmeat, salmon, steak, etc. are wonderful and cooked perfectly. You can never go wrong with Lavendou. Always first5 class. We are looking forward to returning next weekend to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary!
Special Alsace dinner was fantastic! A change from the normal menu. This is the best French restaurant in Dallas.
Authentic French cuisine. Sat outside on a large patio, in the midst of a brisk Northern breeze, buffeted by strategically placed portable propane heaters. Service was exceptional. Food was beautifully prepared and presented. Loved the onion soup gratinee, the roasted chicken and tomato/mozzarella salad. Cappuccino after arrived steaming hot and very tasty. Lots of other menu items to explore next time.
Our favorite restaurant. Bit pricey, but totally worth it.
Delicious food and excellent service.
They also handled COVID precautions well. The tables are well spaced, everybody is wearing masks. The guests distancing also helps with the noise level.
Will come back!
We have been there several times over the last 10 years. They are always great. We will look forward to our next visit.
We treated friends to a lovely dinner at Lavendou and they were very, very pleased commenting on the excellent service and superior food. Good Job Lavendou Bistro!
We first met Pascal in 1988 at Chez Gerard at Knox and McKinney. We left Dallas for many years and have now returned. My wife and I had our first date at Chez Gerard, and celebrated our 31st anniversary at Lavendou Bistro this week. The food, service and ambience were wonderful, with all the same attention to detail we enjoyed at Chez Gerard many years ago. We were also delighted to again have the opportunity to visit personally with Pascal during our visit. Do not miss this gem of a dining experience!
Our waiter basically abandoned us after we ordered. We asked for more bread and salt and pepper and lemon and we never got it from him. The ladies that work there were excellent and very attentive. It makes me angry to think HE got our tip, when the women who really served our table should have gotten it.
He had a German kind of accent. He does NOT pull his weight. Thinks he is being very charming, but gives poor service!
Great food, always loved the food and atmosphere here!!
Outstanding Experience in every way!
Service and food were very good. Owner and Maitre’D very attentive. Would definitely recommend dining here.
Wonderful restaurant. The appetizers, entrees, and desserts are perfect each time. Pascal and his staff make sure your are happy with the service.
Excellent escargot in butter garlic sauce, steak au poivore and pomme frites as well as delicious souffles! Never a bad meal here!!
We go to Lavendou almost every year for our anniversary, and we love it! Excellent food, excellent service, and we’ll keep going!
Lavendau is our Go To for Great French Cuisine. The entire Staff is Friendly and Professional.
The staff was great and the food superb. The bread with olive oil was amazing. I would have liked to see a little more spacing, but the night was great.
I have been going to this gentleman's restaurant's since 1987. Lavendou is hands down the finest French restaurant in the metroplex. From the perfectly prepared escargot to the most tender filet you will experience. The owner, Pascal Cayet, goes above and beyond making every guest feel special and appreciated. Don't miss the fabulous restaurant.
As always, food and service were spectacular! Lavendou always does things right.
Food was fantastic! Everyone enjoyed and raved about the food. Three first timers said they have never had a medium rare steak that was actually medium rare!!! Bravo and merci for such a wonderful evening.
Good food, good atmosphere and a place where you can eat in a tranquil space. Very good wine list.
Food was as good or even better than before COVID outbreak. everything was wonderful from the service to the unbeatable soufflé .
Good, impressive restaurant. There is a romance factor here so think date night. Food was well prepared and service was prompt and friendly as well as knowledgeable.
I am a foodie at heart and this is truly a hidden gem in DFW area. I have been here for years never been disappointed at all. Everything is 5 stars and above.
20+ years of going to lavendou..... perfection always!!!
Very nice. Amazing owner. They did forget to acknowledge my birthday. Was worth the experience.
Always great. Sitting on their patio is wonderful too, especially right now during these difficult times. The food is great, the service is efficient, professional and friendly. We love this place and over the years have become regulars.
Always a consistently good experience!
Outstanding as always. Social distancing was very evident, so we felt quite comfortable dining inside. The duck was great with a very generous portion and the sole with crab was melting in my mouth.
Lavendou is excellent every time. There are so many choices (beef tenderloin with a peppercorn sauce, duck, filet of sole with crabmeat, salmon, veal, and other items). The salads, appetizers and dessert are also wonderful. It is best to have a reservation. And all the staff take great care of you to make sure you satisfied.
Lavendou has great ambiance, feels like a French country restaurant. Food quality and presentation were great. Wine prices were reasonable. Service was excellent. Had 6 people in my party, all were very impressed.
You will not find a better restaurant in Dallas. The food is exquisite, the service impeccable, and the price fair for such a wonderful experience. This is a MUST try and a hidden gem.
Overall, this restaurant is absolutely wonderful.
Lavendou Bistro is our favorite restaurant in the metroplex. It is a refreshing change from the usual steakhouse fare. Seafood dishes are lovely, and the desserts are incredible. It is the only place in town to get good Vichyssoise. The wine selection fits perfectly with the menu, and the staff will always make an excellent suggestion if you need help. Be aware, this is a special occasion restaurant, but it is well worth the price.
Everything from the service to the food, it was incredible. First time diners and we will absolutely be back!
Had some concern about the attire of the hostess. Would think a professional dress code is needed when greeting the public, as we consider Lavendou an upscale classy restaurant, not a Spring Break atmosphere.
The five of us were seated on the patio on a perfect evening in Dallas. We enjoyed a beautiful and elegant meal served with class, wit and a little French flirt. The prime rib was fabulous as was the duck and salmon, but it was the desert - the soufflé- that was to die for. We all had a lovely evening and highly recommend this experience. ❤️
Wow, our experience was excellent tonight. Wonderful appetizers, excellent entrees, and of course desserts, and delicious bourdeaux wine. Returning soon.
The French onion soup is the best we’ve ever had anywhere! The escargot was also amazing along with their French bread. Service was awesome as well! Thank you!!
Had an absolutely marvelous dinner - food was delicious and served elegantly! The restaurant has French decor with pictures and beautiful patio full of flowers. The staff were very helpful and ready to answer all questions. The restaurant has been there for over 20 years - customers have been coming for years so I recommend reservations!!! I will definitely return and try more of their French cuisine - the bar was also very busy making unusual cocktails.
