Restaurants near International Rose Test Garden

It's been over forty years since we had been to this mainstay in Portland dining, and it did not disappoint! Not to be missed? The onion rings, of course! And, while we did not order the wedge salad, I certainly will the next time. The top sirloin - baseball cut - was terrific, and I've never met a potato I didn't like. I did bring half of each of them home to enjoy for lunch the next day, but that's half the fun of too much food! Our waiter was excellent, the cocktails (house Manhattan) and wine were too. The hallmark of a good steakhouse, I believe, is there should be a quiet, clubby vibe - and the Ringside fulfills this to a tee. I can't wait to go back (and, I'm NOT waiting another 40-years!

What a treat!! Janken is a great place to celebrate anything. Food was amazing, service was at another level and the ambiance was top notch. I can’t wait to visit again and try all those things I missed. .

Great service, great food. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu, what dishes paired well with others, and was attentive without being hovering. We were grateful the host was able to find space for us indoors as nearby forest fires made the patio seating we had reserved less “appetizing”.

Great food experience. Excellent meats and very good and friendly service. A bit pricy but great for a special occasion.
