A couple notes about the Taverna-We stop taking day of reservations after 4pm. Please call the restaurant after 4pm.We do not accept parties of 4 people or more. We are a small restaurant with only 22 seats and cannot accommodate larger parties. Established in April of 2015, The Taverna serves authentic Greek fare while remaining true to our Greek roots. Our menu highlights what is available to us locally and seasonally. Our wine list is one of the largest all Greek wine lists in the United States which features natural, orange and organic wines. We offer a unique dining experience that can only be found in a few select locations in the country. We welcome you to our little Taverna in Brunswick!

Located in Portland's Old Port District, Fore Street opened in June, 1996. The interior surrounds a unique brick and soapstone hearth with a wood-burning oven, grill and turnspit; visible from most tables. We believe that good food travels the shortest possible distance between the farm and the table. Our menu changes every day and is founded upon the very best raw materials from a community of Maine farmers, fisherman, foragers and cheese makers. Most of the Maine foods are organically grown or harvested wild, each brought to us at the peak of its season. In 2002 and again in 2007, Fore Street was named by Gourmet Magazine as one of the Top Fifty Restaurants in the United States. In 2004, Chef-Partner Sam Hayward was named Best Chef: Northeast by the James Beard Foundation.

Street and Co. is a Mediterranean, bistro style, all-seafood restaurant with a dynamic atmosphere and 35 years of experience, located right in the heart of the Old Port. Our chefs focus on serving the freshest seafood and the best ingredients available from local purveyors, fishermen and organic farmers.     I specifically went to Pomelia’s last night to try their limited special “lamb ossobucco“ . It was delicious, as were all the other special dishes I have tried in the past. Big enough to share. I hope this one makes the menu like the Seafood Granatini did or at least a frequent special for the colder months. Pomelia’s is an outstanding restaurant with a great wait staff. A winning combination, and for me, well worth a 45 minute drive to dine there.

    Great seafood place.. the clam chowder was so good.. buttery and full of clams and chunky potatoes.. I had the crab quesadillas as my dinner and it was the perfect size.. a hint of spice and lots of yummy crab.. my husband had the large salad with chicken and finished it! Chicken was well cooked and tasty.. I also loved the video showing the history of the restaurant!

    The clam chowder was excellent. My bowl with Korean Pork was excellent. May I suggest adding a bit more pork to the bowl because it was superior flavor.
