Restaurants near Harvey House

My wife and I had dinner last evening with our granddaughter and her fiancé to celebrate their upcoming wedding at Georges’s. We were greeted pleasantly by the hostess who graciously allowed us to ‘pick’ the ‘best table’ for our party. When our group was complete, our server, Baptiste, explained the happy hour specials and provided recommendations. We ordered mussels and frites and a charcuterie board as appetizers and selected a bottle of excellent white French wine. Both appetizers were delivered fresh and flavorful. Our entrees consisted of trout, chicken and chicken crepes. All of our selections were delicious and well presented. A special treat were the chocolate eclair we shared for dessert and a small pot of French press coffee. Baptiste was attentive and friendly throughout our meal and we were able to enjoy each other’s company because of the well paced dining rhythm that Baptiste, his assisting staff and the kitchen provided. We have enjoyed meals around the world and George’s French Bistro is a very pleasant addition to our experience.

Honestly we surprised in a great way. Everything was excellent. I’m not a big fish eater but I had swordfish and I’ll be back to have again. My wife had a steak and she was very pleased with her meal. Try it as a great alternative to the steakhouse.

The best upscale steakhouse in Wichita! The beef carpaccio is fantastic. The meatballs were amazing also. Of course, the steaks are great. Enjoy!
